If you're new to our forums or have just been lurking without posting, here's a good place to make your first post by introducing yourself. Tell us how big a Dukes of Hazzard fan you are! But remember, there IS such a thing as TMI (too much information).
Does cross-stitching excite you? Are you fascinated by watching the paint dry on your recently finished General Lee model? Are you almost finished with your life-sized toothpick replica of Cooter's Garage? Talk about your favorite hobbies here!
Everyone knows strange things go on in the Hazzard Swamp... Beware on entering this forum. The nuts hang out here. If you're one of the nuts, pay no heed to the previous warning. Don't get too nutty tho' or we'll have to have the men in white coats come pick ya up... *Warning* There may be "adult" humor in here. If you're easily offended or under 18, it is advised not to enter here. Folks, try to keep it as clean as possible.
Post your fan fic story ideas here. Someone might just pick up on one and turn it into a full fledged story. Or give us all a preview of what you're working on, whether it's a solo story or a collabrative effort (colabs in this category are not open to all to post, as they are in an RR, so choose your forum carefully!)
Official and unofficial fanfic challenges can be posted here. Official ones will be posted by Admins but anyone can issue a challenge to their fellow writers. Rules & due dates (if applicable) should accompany each challenge.
I can't remember the name of the episode ( I'm sure Hoss will know!) but it was the one where the little red haired kid with the whiney voice got the dog and the family who owned the dog, wound up adopting him. I came across it the other night and decided to skip over it. It's one of the ones I haven't seen but a handful of times ( like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke, etc. etc.) because I really don't like it. ( I guess there's 3-4 of them like that) but who was that kid? Where have I heard that voice before? It seems he may have done commercials or something. I just couldn't stand to hear that voice all the way through the episode droning and whining.
He lives in my hometown ( Williamson Co.) and my mechanic back then showed me this classic 1957 Corvette convertible and told me to look at the registration in the glove compartment. I saw 57 Music Square on the address and knew it must be somebody famous in music...and .....YESS!! It was Alan Jackson's 'Vette!
We're off to an Alan Jackson concert tonight and have 5th row seats on the floor in front of the stage. I'm not a huge fan but my wife is. I just became a bigger fan a few minutes ago when I checked wickapedia and found out he was raised dirt poor in Georgia. I'm wearing my 01 hat and orange Dukes shirt just in case he notices....they are bright colors after all....and the hat was signed by another Georgia boy, Sonny Shroyer. I'll just bet ya that 'ole Alan is a Dukes fan.
I still hang out with Lori too all the time... and I bumped into another user who fell off the radar too but haven't heard from her recently. I'm not at liberty to discuss who, but she wasn't around for all that long. Let's just say she ran into a few problems that no one should have to go through. I never wrote with her, but she did a good job.
Hilarous thing was, K and I were using some of the same media, and I'd seen her posts in passing, but hadn't realized it was her.
Translation: Some how, there's several of us who ended all ended up in the same fandom that is something other than Dukes... and somehow, I think there's more of us than we're aware of... and all on the same social media website (and I don't mean facebook or twitter).
And no, I haven't heard from the pain in the a** that I used to write with as a teenager and I honestly don't care to at this point. Too much drama.
