One word song titles seem to be unpopular in the Musical Chairs thread due to the way they limit the options. There are many great songs out there with only one word in their title (several came up on my MP3 player on my way home tonight), and quite a few of these are never likely to come up in Musical Chairs, so I thought I'd start this thread to collect some of these songs. Very simple rules: One words song titles only - there doesn't have to be any connection between posts. Limit yourself to one song per post. Include a link to the song if you can - not essential, but it's interesting to hear other peoples' taste in music. Feel free to include any comments or…

Who have yall seen live? What was your favorite? When I was little I saw Randy Foster, Aaron Tippin, and Reba. This past fall I saw John Anderson, and then this past weekend I saw .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Hank Williams Jr (Rowdy Friends Tour). All three concerts were great. My favorite was the Rowdy Friends Tour.

Some songs of Waylon that are my favorites, Goin' Down Rockin', and Never Say Die. Here's some lyrics from Never Say Die. There's snow on the mountain A fire down below No place to hide Now there is no place to go Seems like I'm surrounded by the trouble in the air If there's anyway out I can't find it anywhere But I'll never say die Some lyrics from Goin' Down Rockin' One foot on the mountain The other one in the street All kinds of trouble and I'm caught in between I can't change my way of doin' it It's gonna lay like it falls But if I can't go down rockin' I ain't gonna go down at all

Tim McGraw Forget About Us "I'm gonna drive on out to the river tonight Find a quiet spot turn on my parkin' lights I'm gonna drink some beers an' try to catch a buzz Turn radio up an' forget about us Gonna lay me down on the hood of this car Make another wish upon a fallin' star I'm gonna think again about the way it was I'm gonna close my eyes and forget about us I know it won't be easy But I've got a plan to just let my memory let go of your hand I'm gonna miss your touch But I know I must forget about us When the morning sun burns across my face I'll put my shirt back on get up and walk away Gonna climb my frame onto a Grey Hound Bus take a little blue pill and …

Charlie Daniels passed away this morning of a stroke. He was often called the hardest working man in the entertainment business. He has been my favorite singer for decades and I will miss him. I had the opportunity to speak to him three times and it was awesome. The first time I got my picture taken with him. The next time I got it autographed. The third time we talked about patriotism. Two of his songs "What this World Needs is a Few More Rednecks" and "Simple Man" are amongst my all-time favorites. My favorite Charlie moment was listening to him sing "How Great Thou Art" under a beautiful twilight West Virginia sky. Good bye Charlie. You will be missed. The world has lo…

Garth Brooks Under the Table "The bartender just told me I've had too much to drink Now why's he believin' I give a damn what he thinks 'Cause I can tell he's never felt the way that I do He's never had to get over someone like you I'll be under the table before I'm over you Drowning your memory isn't easy to do and as long as I'm still standing well then I ain't thru 'Cause I'll be under the table before I'm over you It seemed so easy for you leave me and find someone new Why can't your memory find somebody too" Garth Brooks More Than a Memory.
