Howdy, folks. We've got a new forum for off-topic discussions in case any of you are inclined to want to discuss something other than the Dukes of Hazzard.

The Canadian wildfires have spread smoke to England and the United States. 😲 I wondered why it was foggy outside today. Now I know.

My new favorite thing is watching people from all over the world getting to experience the US for the first time while they're here for the World Cup. I especially love seeing the Tartan Army (seeing as I'm about half Scottish) and the folks experiencing the South (authentic BBQ anyone?). Boston has a large population with Scots-Irish ancestry, as does the South, so it's not surprising they're feeling like kindred spirits.

okay so, some time before we moved last year, my mom said I could get a pet rabbit, on two conditions, 1: I actually took care of it and 2: that I had a job and she bought me the rabbit hutch last year for christmas and I have all the supplies and everything I need EXCEPT THE JOB and its not for lack of trying either, I've applied to literally everywhere and its a "oh sorry you need to be 18" or a "sorry we're not hiring" and not even the online places wanna hire me. I got denied a job because I didn't have a driver's license (im still on permit) because they were worried about my commute.....IT WAS A REMOTE JOB FROM GERMANY I......I just want a bunny…

Congratulations to the England women's football (soccer) team, AKA. The Lionesses, who won the Euros final earlier tonight. Victory came in a dramatic penalty shoot-out when the match ended 1-1 after extra time. This means that they retain the title which they first won in 2022. They beat Spain who won the World Cup against them in 2023. Over the past few years, the English team (men's and women's) have adopted Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' as an unofficial anthem, so I'll post this to celebrate.

You're half right. Lalo Schifrin composed the theme music for season 1 of Starsky and Hutch. The more familiar 'Gotcha' theme used for season 2 was written by Tom Scott. A reworked version was also used on season 4. The video below is a cool cover by British jazz funk group the James Taylor Quartet. The season 3 theme was written by Mark Snow. All three of these composers also scored several episode, as did Alan Silvestri who wrote a lot of the music for 'CHiPs' (and many movies including 'Back to the Future').

I just felt an earthquake and heard things in the house rattle. I looked at the clock and it was 10:43 (EST). I was pretty sure that's what it was and then the local news confirmed it 17 minutes later. No real damage here. It was centered in Madison Ohio.

Have you guys ever seen the cast in other shows? I mean besides Smokey and the Bandit....I just bought a video Catherine Bach did back in '78 just before DOH. I haven't seen it yet but will let you know.

We Need a Book Thread for people to discuss what they are reading or what books they like to collect as well. Personally me I like Hannah Howell, Lynsay Sands, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Debbie Macomber and James A. Michener and apparently James Bond Novels as well.

I had a little accident at work today. A heavy piece of metal fell on my head and cut it open and knocked me out. I came back to the real world before the ambulance arrived but then fell unconscience again. I woke up again and got loaded in the ambulance and barely remained awake but was confused on the way to the hospital. Luckily the cat scan showed no serious damage and I was released under the watch of my wife. I feel fine but she's going to have to keep an eye on me for a couple days. I have a severe concussion and 7 metal staples but things look good. Here's the amazing part. I've always heard stories like this but never thought I'd experience one. For a while I sa…

I was just thinking about all these books I like and thought, "What books do other people like?" So I'm asking. I'll say that my favorite so far is the Wake Trilogy by Lisa McMann. But I have others.

I now know the dates for the Expedite trucking show at the Roberts Center outside of Wilmington, Ohio. Its the 27 and 28 of July. It's fun. So many old trucks and you might find something that ya never knew about or seen. I know that I'm goin.

I have another one of my crazy ideas and I'd thought I'd get some input from my fellow Hazzardites. I've never seen the show "The Biggest Loser" but since I've always been interested in human nature, I can understand the appeal to the people who participate in it. You seem to get much more motivated about something if there's some friendly pressure on you to succeed. I was wondering if anybody would like to join me in a friendly contest to see who can keep a New Year's resolution. There's really nothing to win except pride and a chance to better yourself. I really do hate computers. I only started using them because I was told I could find Dukes related stuff on the internet. After using the HazzardNet for a few years I started branching off to other things but now I'm going in the other direction and am down to three things. Now all I use this contraption for is HazzardNet, e-mail and fantasy sports. I'm slowly phasing my way out of fantasy sports for various reasons and it looks like I'll end up being where I was when I first started, just HazzardNet. Happy Easter everybody. Since my wife works in an intensive care unit of a hospital and could potentially be a carrier, we are being pretty strict about avoiding people. It will be a really strange Easter without family. I guess I'll have to drown my sorrows by eating extra chocolate.
