Introduce Yourself

If you're new to our forums or have just been lurking without posting, here's a good place to make your first post by introducing yourself. Tell us how big a Dukes of Hazzard fan you are! But remember, there IS such a thing as TMI (too much information). ;)

  1. Started by MaryAnne,

Hey y'all, Just a note to new users that your first post or posts will be moderated and they won't show immediately when you post. HNet is patroled pretty much daily by admin, but please allow admin time to catch up and approve posts before ya post the same post again. LOL Techncially, new users are moderated on their first 10 posts before they become a "regular" user, but if we can see you're a serious Dukes fan, we move ya over to regular status pretty quick so you can enjoy the site. That concludes this here public announcement. Carry on y'all!

Life goes fast. I probably posted here once upon a time. I have FINALLY completed a years long process. The General Lee is built from an original MPC kit from 1969 I picked up from e-bay. The previous owner had painted it a gold/copper color back in the day with automotive paint(cannot be stripped/etches itself into the plastic). I came across the Lee 1 story and it was perfect. It took parts from numerous kits and hours of replaying scenes from One Armed Bandit. Stories on the background cars to follow.

  4. Started by Breaker1,

Forgive me y'all, but I just found this site. I've been watching The Dukes of Hazzard since it first aired (I was 7), and have been an absolute fan ever since! I grew up in a Mopar family and have had my share of of muscle cars. I drive/own only Mopar, and the 1969 Charger has always been my favorite, I've had a couple of them. Anyway, most people on the show who come to Hazzard county, are just passing through, but I plan on staying for a while. Looking to rub shoulders with some like-minded people on here. I hope I can give at least as much as I get on this site. Thanks in advance for puttin' up with me! Keep it between the ditches y'all!

  5. Started by bo-go-vroom,

This is my first post and my introduction. I read the 'warning' that mentioned TMI (too much information), and I do tend to go off in a tangent pretty easily so if you ever see me yapping, make sure to tell me and I'll try to tone it back! Anyways, my name is Cheyenne, you can call me Annie if you'd like, I'm 16 and got into DoH earlier this year, I want to say in July? I'm from Arizona but now live in North Carolina USA. I'm homeschooled so I'll probably be online pretty often. I want to learn guitar, I draw, (I'll be sharing often in the fanart topic) and I really like The Beatles/The Monkees. I don't know if you could tell, but my favorite character is Bo!😁…

Hello everyone 🥰 I am exited to be a part of this Dukes of Hazzard fan group. I have been a huge fan of the program; and it has always brought me joy and memories. There is so much to adore about Hazzard County, whether it is the memorable General Lee, Daisy charm, and Luke's crazy exploits. I am excited to get to know other fans; exchange stories; and talk about anything from backstage tidbits to favorite episodes. Please let me know if there are any threads or ongoing discussions that I should check out. I am happy to be here 🙂

  9. Hello all, My real name is Carl. I'm a Canadian childhood fan at heart. I've always loved the Dukes of Hazzard, always wanted to meet the cast (met some), always wanted a General Lee (one day), and always wanted to visit as many locations as possible. So I've started building a map using Google's MyMaps. I was wondering if anyone would like to partake in this and hopefully get an entire map for fans to utilize. Let me know. Looking forward to hearing from ya all!

  10. Howdy Y’all ….Long time OG Fan . I just had my first son and decided to build him His first collection .. Started basic enough, then started thinking about Dukes and caught the fever. This might get everyone fired up but.... Did anyone consider that Boss Hogg was not the bad guy? Bo and Luke were ex cons running moonshine, they were speeding around all over Hazzard County in the General Lee and refused to pull over when the police were chasing them. Usually ending up in a terrible accident that destroyed one of the sheriffs cruisers. They would drive like Maniacs in the city putting the public in harms way. Meanwhile he has this dumbass relative as a sheriff that would not think to arrest the Duke boys at the Boar's Nest while they were getting liquored up to go on a drunk driving expedition. All of the property damage each week was pretty e…

Hello from the south, been a long time dukes fan for over 40 years now and still love the show. Been to most all the Georgia filming sites with other dukes fans and have owned my old charger since 1999. Had the uniform on it for over 10 years and had to do a re paint in 2012. It is still hemi orange but with a black R/T stripe and magnum 500 wheels. 493 ci with a 4 speed, has plenty of attitude for a resto looking charger.

  15. Started by Jim85IROC,

Hi all. I found this forum recently when so many of my google image searches kept bringing me here, usually to one of Hoss's great posts. All of the image searches are because I'm in the planning and early building stages of creating a Dukes rc car chase for my Youtube channel (it's an RC car channel). I just picked up a Kyosho Phazer with a 70 Charger body, so I have a little work to do to convert it to a 69 General. One way that I'm trying to separate my video(s) from those that are already out there is that I really want to make the rest of my props as correct as possible, within reason. This starts with an accurate Sherrif's car.…

A long time Dukes fan wants to say hello. It took my a while to sign up. It would not send me my confirmation to my email. Why I do not know? But I'm here now.

  17. Started by The_Kellis,

I am helping my mother prepare for a move, and I found my old General Lee pedal car. I want to sell it on OfferUp, but I have no idea what to ask. Any insights would be helpful. It's not in great shape, but I'm seeing the decently maintained ones going for $5k

Good evening all, Thank you for accepting me on the site. I remember Dukes when I was younger and the girls having a crush on John Schneider, LOL. Good times and great memories come to mind. I love reading posts and listening to ideas about the show- most of all, I enjoy the enthusiasm. I pretty much have a simple life. I love listening to old music- like music before I was born- The Beatles, 1960s girl groups and just anything upbeat and happy Thanks again all!

My Name is Andrew. I am 43 years old. I am also a post 9/11 U.S. Navy Veteran. I served from May 2003 to April of 2007. I loved Dukes of Hazzard since I started watching it at a fairly young age. I loved watching DoH and Three's Company. Please pardon me for bringing up another show. Anyway, I do it my best to live my life by at least one of Uncle Jesse's famous quotes. At least along DoH fans like us. He said, "A stranger is just a friend I have no met yet." I live in Southern California. So out here I have to use tact. of course. Probably more so than I would like. Meaning I wish I did live in a place where more and more people saw us as fellow Americans. And not in our…

I found this site awhile ago and finally signed in a few months ago and well life got in the way...My name is Dan and I've been a Dukes fan for many years. At one point I owned the whole series but they were all destroyed in a fire along with all my other possessions a couple of years ago...I managed to buy the first three seasons at Walmart, but moneys tight I hope to get the rest of the show at some point. Lets see I've been married about ten years, I drive an '85 Plymouth Gran Fury called The Cherry Bomb, I love rock and roll, movies, TV shows, and Mopars from the '70s, '80s and in some cases '90s, I wish I could think of more to say but I'm new here and a little nervo…

Hi, all. I'm a newish Dukes of Hazzard fan as I first watched random episodes of the show on TV a few years ago and now I'm watching them in their respective order, so far I'm on Season 4 and really enjoying it. That said, I'm glad there's this community as the show has been deemed "racist" by the media and so many would rather avoid talking about it even though the boys, Hogg and everyone were never offensive/racist (Hogg and Rosco were corrupt and slimy, but that's their thing). Bye.

  24. Started by CountryXRebel,

Hey everyone. I'm Dani and I'm new here and am a huge fan of the Dukes Of Hazzard. I'm a country gal and proud of it. I own every single season of the Dukes Of Hazzard and recently began rewatching it from the beginning of the series. My favorite Duke is Bo Duke and I love John Schneider. I'm currently working on saving money to buy myself a horse. Some of the things I like doing are working with my grandpa out on the farm, horseback riding, reading, writing fan fiction, roleplaying, watching tv and much more. I love making new friends so if you'd like to get to know me better and want to know more don't be afraid to ask.

Hi , My name is Rob and I grew up on the dukes of hazzard sort of lol. I got into the show at 5 years old. I owned some of the mego figures Bo N Luke Duke. The general lee boss hogg and roscoe never got the rest. It was a privallege to see one of the general Lee's used during a coy and vance episode. Till this day as an adult I love the dukes.
