Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

The General Lee's... some are still around... Patrol Cars, prolly some originals from the show somewhere surely?.... but what about the Cadi Boss drove/rode in? and Cooters Truck?.... where would these things have gone after all these years? .... of course, the Cadi and the Truck were switched out from time to time, or so it would seem from watching all the seasons. Hopefuly this question either has already been answered elsewhere on this forum.... or there is a answer for it....? I mean, the Sanford & Son Truck is still around.... so surely the Cadi and Cooters Truck are somewhere as I type... just sittin.... some proud owner holding onto them.....

Is it just me, or do the first episodes seem alot darker that the rest? I think those were better shows. It got pretty silly there at the end.

I heard that Tom suffered a black eye in the first reunion movie they tried to cover it up by putting make-up on but if look close at the last scene when him and john are standing in front of the bus you can see it . And they also tried to hide it by making him stand sideways in that scene when Rosco is confessing his crime to mama jo ". I also heard from john himself that Tom is accident prone he has fallen down in his own bathtub at his apartment.

Am I wrong , or was there a particular movie that the DOH tv series was based on? I was only 9-10 at the time, but i swear that I remember hearing that. I even remember seeing parts of a movie that it was said that the show was based on. It was a serious movie. Not a comedy. Can anyone help? cd

Wanted to know if anyone knew of this event taking place fromm North Carolina to Covington Georgia (filming location of the 1st 5 episodes of the Dukes). I know there is currently an up-roar in the sports world about the Confederate Flag and how it stands for hate and horrible times in the South. Why would they choose that to put on The General? Or what did it mean to them? Thank you, Chad

I'd like very much to see the 2 Reunion of 1997 and 2000. Unfortunately, when they were aired here in Italy, I didn't know so I didn't saw them. I'm waiting for Dvds or Vhs but nothing yet. I found only Vhs on internet but they are not compatible with the italian Vhs players. Someone can help me, telling me where I can find them? Thanks so much!

Now, is it just me, or has CMT not been showing the Dukes as much as they have before?? I thought the schedule was 7 PM, Monday through Friday??? It seems like in the past two weeks, every night I turned CMT on, at 7, there was something else on, anything but the Dukes.....is CMT trying to cut back on the Dukes? You don't think they'd possibly take them off syndication?? I will be pretty darn mad if they do!! I think it's safe to say the Dukes are still their highest rated show, if not then one of the highest! Why in the opening credits of the show they put Tom Wopat first and John Schneider second? The alphabetical order is usually preferred when actors playing the main characters are equally famous (or actually also unfamous!). So what's the matter here? Was Tom slightly better known than John, who i know was totally unknown?

Hi everybody, this is my first post here, but i've been lurking for a while a nd have read all your funny post. Yesterday i was watching Mrs.Daisy Hogg and when Daisy is about to marry Jamie L. Hogg i thought that was not the first time she fell in love, because i can recall she having a crush on Gaylord Duke in Duke of Duke...which made me wonder how many other times she falls in love during the series. And Bo&Luke? Bo has several crushes during the show, Diane Benson in Carnival of Thrills on top on my mind, but there must be others. I can't remember anything about poor Luke though Thanks

I need to know if there was ever a scene of The Dukes where you'd see Daisy and Enos dancing together? I know there was one in season one, but it was at the very end and not very long Anybody know of anything else?

Has anyone had any problems with the Season 4 DVD? Just got a Region 2 DVD set from play.com and I found that Disc 4 would not play on either side from about 36 minutes in. I sent that back and the replacement arrived today. It's got exactly the same problem on Disc 4. It either skips and pauses from 36 minutes onward or won't start to play any of the later episodes. Have I just been really unlucky to get two faulty DVD sets or is there known to have been problems with that particular DVD?

Here's a story I thought would be fun to share. The other day I was driving down the road and during my journey I passed an Amish man in his horse and buggy. This incident brought back a memory. Several years ago(maybe seven or eight) I worked at a walmart store for a couple of years. During that time there was an Amish guy named Andy who also worked there. Andy was hired around the same time as I was. He did not work in the same department as I did, but I seen him a lot because he worked maintenance and stock which pretty much ment he went all over the store where ever he was needed. Is it just me, or were none of the original interior sets used in this movie? Not to mention Uncle Jesse's house was completely different from the show. Never thought he'd be one to tear down his ancestor's house and all.

On High Octane, I see a Ford flareside-don't know what year. In some episodes I saw a 1/2 ton, then a few minutes later a 3/4 ton. In most episodes he has a 73-75 Ford, but in Trouble at Cooter's he had a 76-77 for a couple of scenes. Why was this done? Is it because they thought no one would notice? Or was it done to make the show goofier, therefore adding to the comedy? Another example of this is in High Octane the lady revenue agent has a Ford Granada with round headlights. Next scene she's driving a newer Granada with sqaure headlights.

I have always been curious as to why they never did a flashback story on when Bo , Luke, and Daisy ended up at the farm and I know that Bo and Luke were little babies when they came to the farm because in A Baby For The Dukes", Uncle Jesse says that Bo and Luke were about that size. Daisy was six when she came I would have really liked to have seen an episode like that. :p

I saw the last episode of Dukes last night. This means, the series is starting over again! Just telling yall if your interested.
