Gilligan's Island Trivia: Did you know that Alan Hale Jr. Gilligan's Island Skipper's Anchor Life Ring Ropes on his hat, that embroidery with only Anchor Life Ring Ropes in a Yacht club means Member? A Captain Skipper is surprisingly the lowest rank in a club. Did you know that 3 little Gold stars surrounding the embroidery means Commodore. Silver stars Past Commodore. In the Season 2 episode Don't Bug the Mosquitoes, one of the Rock 'N' Roll band members of The Mosquitoes Bingo called Skipper "Commodore" in this scene. Bingo:"Well, I'll tell you what we'll do Commodore. If your group will cooperate with the Mosquitoes, we'll get you off the island." -
