Dukes of Hazzard Movies

A few other Dukes-related message boards are reporting that the unrated version of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' that will be released on Tuesday along side the theartical released version of the film, is really raunchy. From what I understand, anyone looking to purchase the "unrated" version of the film can expect to hear more profanity, more sexual inuendos, nudity, and drug use. I still have trouble believing that they did this to a movie called 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. GADuke01

I know season 5 of the Dukes of Hazzard starts with Coy & Vance as replacements till much later in the season when Bo & Luke return. I was curious if all 4 ever appeared in the same episode? I would assume if this ever happened it happened during the episode Bo & Luke returned.

I just watched one episode where Luke was curled up in the back of Roscoe's car with Flash. When Roscoe got out and left, so did Luke. Luke said "Good girl" to flash. I'm lost. I was thinking Flash was a dude. Maybe Luke lifted the tail farther than we did....

,this is getting out of hand,hazzard is being disfaced! All this talk about sex ,drugs and profanity language is so outragious.When did tarnishing the dukes of hazzard become the topic of this forum??? I haven't read all through this forum yet so I don't know if this has already been discussed... The pictures are here and here. What do you suppose the story is behind the weird "General Lee" in those pictures? The paint is a lighter orange (looks like it is supposed to be faded?), the wheels are black stamped steel, there is no push bumper, the "01" is in the "wrong" type of font and there doesn't seem to be anything painted on the roof (no flag or "General Lee" text that I can see). I'm just going to flat out and say it. If you are a TRUE Dukes fan, don't buy this DVD. Who wants this farse of a movie to get any more money than it already has. We've all spoke our peace here and I think the consensus is that the movie isn't what we as TRUE Dukes fans wanted and we don't want them to make anymore like this. The best way for this to happen is if we don't support the DVD. I think we should push to have the TV Reunion movies released on DVD instead.

I just checked IMDB and the rating is up and it is "R". That means probably a few F bombs and nudity among other things that do not belong in Dukes of Hazzard.Definitely a no buy for me,I won't even rent it. I as a Dukes fanatic refuse to accept this crap and if you are as passionate about Dukes as I am.Don't buy this.Boycott. I realize that I'm probably wasting my time posting this as most of you don't care anymore just as long as it says Dukes on it,you'll buy it.

ok Im gonna say this, If it werent for the movie I won't have been a Dukes fan... when I first saw the movie I actually liked it I did. I also Loves Dukes of Hazzard Beginnings its really cool. the boys were kinda cute. Daisy needed a fuller figure but im not hating on it. I know they didnt stick to the story line ad I know some of y'all basically wanna kill Jessica for taking the role but if you were an actor won't you have taken the job? Just think of it as a family whose last name was Dukes instead of the Dukes of hazzard everyone knows.

I thin Toby Keith would be a good choice since him and Willie are close. As far as I know anyway. lol

Awright, since the sequel prospects are in limbo - I think it's time we let everybody weigh in. I can't promise that this will shift the odds one way or the other. But looking back on our earliest movie posts, there were rumors about the General Lee having no flag, and there were debates about what music should be on the sountrack, ect. I can't claim that anybody was listening to us. Lookin' back, though, and taking into consideration some of the media contacts we received...it's at least possible that somebody was. So let's make some noise, eh? Maybe we'll send the string to our WB buddies and see what happens. If all else, it may amuse 'em! Brian

I love the dedication this group of Hazzard townies and can't tell you how much I love knowing that there are people that have such fond memories of this show as I did. I was born in Columbus, Ga, not too far form where it all started, and I remember in REAL LIFE seeing the General Lee in my town on tour while the show was still filming. I remember local companies in town that had TV ads featuring the General Lee. A bank branch from Columbus (CB&T) once had a General in front for advertising. The music made this film even more fun to watch .. It was like the perfect songs at the perfect time.... 1. Mississippi Queen - Mountain - gave me goosebumps when the General was first born and it's lights came . Then in slow motion with Mississippi Queen famous guitar riff.....Awesome 2. My Wife Thinks Your Dead - Junior Brown - The Balladeer had to have a song in there. Boss Hogg is boiling crawdads and it's the song heard in the background. 3. Shoot To Thrill - AC/DC - Another great moment and perfect song when Luke is hanging out the General's window shooting his bow when they are getting chased 4. when bo and luke are talking about going to the university after getting the core samples, bo mentions katie and how "she pulled a goddamn kaiser-sozy and like that (puffing gesture) she was gone" anyone?

i have heard that they me using a new dodge charger for the general instead of the classic 69. it doesnt look bad and has potential, but there hasnt been a release date yet for it the other car could be a dodge stratus coupe (yuck) so what is your opinion - 69 charger, 05 charger or 05 stratus i think the 05 charger would look good, but not as good as the 69

Well after all i have read about Jessica Simpson snubbing her nose at people during filming and all, it is in my best saying....GO TO HELL!!!! She does not realize what type of role she has gotten as I am sure she was only 2 when the Dukes of Hazzard premeired.... I have seen numerous pictures of the filming and I still believe Scott and Knoxville are not Bo and Luke but they are not as bad as I was once percieving. Well anyhow I have a list of people here that should have been casted for Daisy. Please give me some feedback on who should have played Daisy besides Bimbo Simpson. Thanks, The Hazzard Fanatic

I havent seen the movie yet, but heard a while back about the scene that touches on the Confederate Battle Flag on the General's roof. Could someone please explain this scene to me...what is said and what exactly happens. This scene is one of the reasons I havent seen the movie yet. If it degrades the flag in any way I probably wont go to see it. Thanks.

From a few things I found on the net, the Execs at WB werent sure what to do about the Confederate Flag that adorns the General Lee in the upcoming movie. Apparently they decided to leave it on, but the compromise was that there had to be a scene which dipics the Flag as 'unfavorable' to some people. Whata y'all think about this controversy? I think if they left it off, the movie would be a joke.(If it's not going to be anyway).

I did some digging and found out that Dukefest won't be in Louisiana this year, as someone may have said earlier. It'll be the North American General Lee fan club. Still, we should all get the sensory overload of many General Lee's cruising the streets around town!! I believe late June sometime. They're meeting at the same location of the "Final Big Jump" in beautiful (?) downtown Clinton.

Let me stir things up a little bit. Please feel free to disagree. The first reunion movie had a great plot but I refuse to buy the DVD. Here's why.. Daisy, Bo and Luke would have never left Uncle Jesse at the farm alone like they did. I could have probably handled it a little better if all 3 of them would have announced at the end of the movie that they were back in Hazzard to stay but they didn't (correct me if I'm wrong with that statement, I've only seen it once). What makes this especially troubling is how frail Jesse looked when he was left to the farm alone. I'm sure he gave them his blessing to go but that's not the point. The point is that they wouldn't have left…
