I did some digging and found out that Dukefest won't be in Louisiana this year, as someone may have said earlier. It'll be the North American General Lee fan club. Still, we should all get the sensory overload of many General Lee's cruising the streets around town!! I believe late June sometime. They're meeting at the same location of the "Final Big Jump" in beautiful (?) downtown Clinton.

On a couple of Entertainment show's (Tv Guide Channel, E! news) they refered to Bo & Luke as "Brothers" in the upcoming movie. Has anyone else heard of this or are these sub-par shows just mis-informed? Thanks Ya'll

hey yall Mark duke here comin at ya live at 5 in virginia. I saw the premier out here on monday and yeah the cast aint great, yeah the general is back , but thank those people for givin it to us cause we love the dukes of hazzard. this is for the real fans yall its the fun that counts.

I didnt think itwas going to be good too cause of hollywood and all, but when the movie started i really felt good. Iwas laughin and smiling and clappin just a good ole time and when i left i fel good real good

Go see it and have some fun forget the hype.

I just watched one episode where Luke was curled up in the back of Roscoe's car with Flash. When Roscoe got out and left, so did Luke. Luke said "Good girl" to flash. I'm lost. I was thinking Flash was a dude. Maybe Luke lifted the tail farther than we did....

Dukes of Hazzard Reunion #3 The Reading of the Will

I have an idea for a 3rd Reunion movie. Before Rosco died, he could've made out a will leaving Enos or Cletus Boss Hogg's empire upon his death. Enos can be the Sheriff/Boss/Commissioner now, with Cletus as Deputy. Or have Cletus Sheriff/Boss/Commissioner with Enos as Deputy. Bo, Luke and Daisy can be married with little Dukes of their own who have grown up and come to Hazzard to help the Dukes, Enos, Cletus, Cooter etc. to stop Hughie Hogg from taking over Hazzard County. Hughie got word from his goons about Uncle Boss and Rosco being dead, so he returns to try to take over as Sheriff/Boss/Commissioner.

Hey y'all, sorry for trashing the new movie so dang badly,i know it's cruel of me and wasn't thinking of how I was either offending some and discouraging others!

Sure,the idea of keeping the dukes alive is one thing,and seeing the general lee in action on the big screen is rather interesting,I just wish they would've had the right cast for the movie!

They should have been actors that look a little like the original cast,at least then it would have been more acceptable to watch! Does anyone know who catherine bell is? She's so dang near a perfect look alike for the role of daisy,wish was played by catherine bach!

It's like you said,no matter who they pick,we will still be disappointed! A true fan of the dukes,will always be critical of this movie,and I'm sorry i made an ass of myself by posting everywhere how much I just depise this movie!

I know i will never accept it, but if they at least had a cast worthy of the show,then maybe I could be more open minded !

For those who are annoyed with my rantings,I'm sorry i bursted y'all's bubble!

Seing the general lee in action again and on the big screen, is something that does make my heart skip a beat! I've always adored that car,and I'm obscessed by it!

So capt,from this day forward,I'll respect others more in here for their views too,I sincerely thank you for bringing my attitude to my attention,I never meant to step on anyones toes!

I do love being here,and I am a true blue fan of the original Dukes of hazzard,see y'all later you hear!

I haven't read all through this forum yet so I don't know if this has already been discussed...

What do you suppose the story is behind the weird "General Lee" in those pictures? The paint is a lighter orange (looks like it is supposed to be faded?), the wheels are black stamped steel, there is no push bumper, the "01" is in the "wrong" type of font and there doesn't seem to be anything painted on the roof (no flag or "General Lee" text that I can see).

From all the other pictures of the General Lee on that site and other sites, we know that the General Lee to be in this new movie is pretty faithful to the car from the original series (other than it having the wrong size wheels and tires and having the damnable white letter side of the tires showing :x) so I wonder how the orange Charger with the "01" on the doors from those two pictures fits into that. Any ideas?

Apparently the Dukes drive an ATV through a girl's locker room. I'd heard about that one, but I didn't expect a few of the other things in here. Ladies, take note of the Duke boys getting into a squirming wrestling match, sans shirts, while washing the car.

Interestingly enough, though April Scott is billed as the hottie of the flick, she doesn't seem to have any of the risque' scenes. Then again, there's an "Unrated" version coming out as well, so...who knows. Spend your money as ya see fit.

Reunion Movies Antenna

During the first part of the show the General had a Radio Shack Teardrop Base Antenna, later on the General had a Avanti AV-327 "Racer 27".

But what about the reunion movies? Today I was just showering and was thinking about the Antenna's but then I noticed that I didn't know if the Reunion movies General Lee had an antenna, I decided to check it out.

We first see the Generals antennas base when they first drive with it again.

This is Reunion GL2.

Later one we see the back of a General more clear, this is the only time you can see the back of a reunion General clearly. (In this case Reunion GL1). Unfortunately this time there General doesn't have an antenna...

Then later we see the back again with an antenna! Unfortunately it is not really close.

This is Reunion GL2 again.

The best view we get of a Reunion General Antenna is in Hollywood. It is the same Antenna as can be seen on the last picture.

Anyone knows this type of Antenna? The base is so small it must have been bolted through the trunk lid, unlike the 2005 and 2007 movies where they had a magnetic base antenna.

I recorded the movie on USA because I was couriouse about what it was like. I'm only 36 minutes into the movie now and I hate it. It's way off from the show and it's just stupid. I will never watch it again but I will finish it. At least I know what it's like now.

Hello everyone! I am new to this site, but I have been watching it and reading the posts for years now. I love the dedication this group of Hazzard townies and can't tell you how much I love knowing that there are people that have such fond memories of this show as I did. I was born in Columbus, Ga, not too far form where it all started, and I remember in REAL LIFE seeing the General Lee in my town on tour while the show was still filming. I remember local companies in town that had TV ads featuring the General Lee. A bank branch from Columbus (CB&T) once had a General in front for advertising. My father bought me my first Mego General Lee toy with Bo and Luke. So believe me when I say....I know, love, breathe, and bleed the Dukes! It was kind of difficult being black loving this show so much. I know we are all aware of the stigma concerning the show and its "connections" to racist views and bigotry. But if you actually watched the show, you know that the Dukes stood for everything decent in a person. In America.

Now.....I know that there is a section on the forums for introductions, and I may just repost part of this for that section, but what I came here to do was share something that I have been working on for a little while. Lately, I have been consumed with writing. I started about 4 years ago, and mainly in online forums such as this one. So far.....I've had a tremendous amount of positive feedback and a genuine love for my stories. This year, I decided to make something of that. I went about the business of finding an agent. I have spoken to a few people who have been amazed at what I have been doing, but I am still waiting to find that RIGHT agent that knocks my socks off. Recently, I was directed to Abbot Management (now known ad Abbot Entertainment), and I have been in the works of trying to get a script written for TV. I would love to share the premiss with you, if you would give me honest feedback. It is a pitch for a new Dukes show....that is NOT a reboot, but a continuation.

Prefer Georgia over California Locations

I know the Dukes was only shot for 5 episodes in Georgia and the rest of the time in California, but the first 5 episodes were the best to me. I like the rural Georgia country roads. They were asphalt roads leading into the town of Hazzard but when they changed locations to California, the roads became dirt for some reason. It just seemed more real to me when they were filming in Georgia. I also hate the special effects of the last couple of years of the show. Some of the jumps were just to fake and you could tell it. With the updated technology now, it may look better but not back then. I also preferred Daisy in her jean Daisy Dukes instead of those outfits she ended up with. I did like the Confederate Uniform version of her Daisy Dukes. I did like the story lines but wished they could have done them in Conyers and Covington. Just a thought.

Here we go again! This is hot off the press from the Hollywood Reporter. As of this time we have zero confirmation about this WB/Jody Hill project actually being a Dukes of Hazzard movie. But we can't ignore the possibility.

Back when the rumors started for the 2005 Dukes movie, (maybe it was 2003 at the time) and Britany Spears was being considered for Daisy, we were the first Dukes website with the dirt. So in that fine tradition of rumor, speculation and no-holds-barred reckless reporting, we're passing this along.
