its great to see that the WB is making progress Bo Luke and diasy have are cast but havent heard about jesse rosco or cooter. articales say its not exactly like the original dukes its being written directed by a guy who wrote super troopers Don't know if I like the sound of that. the general lee should be like the original general but who knows what they will do. I hope it has the charactoistis of the original and it sounds to me like they are going to make it different????? The original cast should appear in the movie but who knows if they will get the chance???????

Heard a tidbit on the radio while the local DJ was going over the celebrity gossip. I apologize for not having the name of this singer accurate, I think it was....Jennifer somebody or another, who's got a current hit on the charts. (I confess I've got no earthly idea about who this chic is, this broadcast was halfway through by the time I got the radio volume up.) It's been widely reported that Ashton Kutcher was gonna have a leading role in the upcoming Dukes movie, but I've come across new information that conflicts with this. Ashton is currently working on another project for Columbia Pictures. The movie is called "The Dinner Party" and went into production 06/21/04. According to this weeks issue of People magazine, Warner Bros. have cast the parts of Bo and Luke for the upcoming big screen movie. Sean William Scott, aka "Stiffler" form American Pie, is to play Bo Duke and Johnny Knoxville, of "Jackass" fame, is to play Luke Duke. As for Daisy, Jessica Simpson was seen arriving at Warner Bros studios dressed in Daisy Duke attire reportedly for a script reading. The Studio also announced that negotiations are underway for Burt Reynolds to play Boss Hogg.

Being new to this board, I'm not sure how much of my opinion I should put forth, but . . . it seems to me like this movie is just another attempt to cash in on 80's nostalgia. I'm a bit of a purist though, and it seems to me like the producers and creators of The Dukes would endear themselves to us more if they made another original tv movie. It would probably go over better than a big screen version with actors we've never heard of or heard of in passing. I'm of the opinion the original cast can't ( and shouldn't ) be replaced. But there's something to be said for keeping the Dukes of Hazzard adventures going for generations to come, so long as '69 Charges don't become extinct in the process. That bein' said... Other Things happened in Hazzard, likewise there were other people living in Hazzard. Think there ought to be a movie of what the other folks in Hazzard were doing etc. Also While everyone knows the General Lee, did you notice at the few first episodes, Cooter while working in the junk yard drove Starsky & Hutch' Red Torino, with the white strip down the side. Speaking of Cooter how come no one has put up a photo of his tow truck? Both the blue and white one as well as the yellow one?

While its a sure bet that sweet Daisy had the set of limbs all men would love to cuddle, still there were others on the TV show that as sweet a set of legs as Daisy. Huey Hogg' nurse on one episode had a great set, several on episodes did, how many pairs of nylon hose were worn to creat the illusion of perfect legs. Will the babe on the Big screen movie wear nylon hose to trick out her legs, face it niether Miss Spears or Simpson have perfect legs. Maybe there should be a casting call for the perfect legs, from Hazzard County?

Can a big screen Dukes of Hazzard Movie really be as good as the show ? I mean even the movie moonrunners was good but when it does get made it will atleast be worth the wait, in the meantime we still have the dvd to take us back to those friday night when we sat down to watch Dukes so 01 will always ride forever.

In My oppinion some of the cast should be original cast members aswell as some new faces. For Instance, Tommy Lee Jones would make a bad version of Roscoe p. coltrane because he lacks the personality of the charicter but, maybe a new charicter can be created with him in the movie or he can play Uncle Jesse's charicter ? If that wont work then maybe someone like Kenny Rodgers can play Uncle Jesse's character or maybe George Carlin? Roscoe p. coltrane's character can be played by, Don Knotts or Burt Renolds. Brat Pitt would make a good Bo Duke character. Luke Duke can be played by, Ashton Kutchner. Daisy Duke's character would be better played by somebody like Jessica sim…

It would be crazy not to notice the resemblance that Tom Welling of Smallville bears to a young John Schneider. After seeing the first season on DVD it was uncanny...The kid just needs blonde hair. Here's a loose rumor I picked up in the alley, take it for what it's worth... The issue at stake for Jennifer Simpson and Britney Spears isn't just the role of Daisy Duke.
