Hey Y'all! Just curious here, and thought I would ask everyone this question: What is the reasoning behind the usernames y'all picked? I'll go first... General Lee was the General for the confederate army in the Civil War, General Grant (my username) was the General for the Union Army in the Civil War. Well, the Dukes are from the south, I'm from the north. It seemed fitting since thier car was the General Lee, to have my username as General Grant. Did that make any sense?! To me, Hazzard County is not just small county that Warner brothers had created while they had planned up the Dukes of Hazzard, but a place that holds a lot of meanings wrapped into one word. To me Hazzard is a place full of love and understanding, a place where there is no discrimination of one another; where everyone is treated rightly no matter what. But, I got this in the form of an email, and I like it so much that I wanted to share it: One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. THEN SHE TOLD THEM TO THINK OF THE NICEST THING THEY COULD SAY ABOUT EACH OF THEIR CLASSMATES AND WRITE IT DOWN. I read more than one fandom, several genres actually. But I just want to say I am constantly impressed by the quality of writing on Hazzardnet. Unfortunately most fanfiction I find in other genres read like written by rabid fangirls (and most are), but Dukes of Hazzard seems to have acquired a singular quality of fanfiction that rare to find. Keep up the good work, y'all.

I was thinking about opening up a RP site so that people can play particular characters and what not. I know you guys know how all that works because I believe I may have rp'd with some of you all before. I'm thinking about making it through greatestjournal because I've had a lot of experience with that and find that I like it the best. I don't have all the details right now, but those of you who are interested let me know what you think. Either post here or leave me a message. Ive been looking around Hazzardnet lately, and looking at some of the writing on the more open boards, especially a board that used to be my favorite past time, a place I once really enjoyed writing on. The Round Robin Board. For those of you who dont know me, Iam Chet Duke and Ive been known for alotta trouble around Hazzardnet over the many years (almost 10 years) Ive been here. Hi, I'm new here I want to give my son a Dukes of Hazzard themed party for his 6th birthday. He loves the Dukes of Hazzard. He has all of the seasons on DVD & all the special DVD's. I cannot find anything on Dukes parties though. I found some invitations on EBAY but they looked like they were done on a home computer so I'm going to make my own. I also found some mardi gras throw beads that have the general lee on them but these are the only things I could find. I don't want to have to do solid colors for everything. I can't find any ideas posted anywhere either. Can anyone help. Please!!!

A few days ago as I was driving down the local highway in the company vehicle, a similar sound floated on the radio waves and the tune from the local classic rock station sent a pang in my sentimental heart.
