Well I have been writing one form of fan fic or another for several years now. Started out with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to C.H.i.P.s and then onto the Dukes of Hazzard. Been stuck in Hazzard county well over ten years now...perhaps fifteen? I can't remember, but I can't imagine writing about anything else. Anyway, I have my DOH fanfic series plus a few other stories and the such on Mary Anne's DOH fanfic site (Thanks Mary Anne ). I am on my third story of my series of which my personally created characters Kristy and Garrett Duke are in...and stuck on chapter five since like February. I have a fanfic stuck in my head it was a little song by Luke for Bo when they was little. The only part I can remember was Bo and Luke brothers (or cousins) Duke. I would just like to reread it if anyone can find it.....I thought I had it bookmarked but i don't.

I just want to thank Val for writing again in the "Fics in progress" section. I was waiting for uptades of "Pines and Principles", that looks like a great fic (in perferct Val's style). And thanks to Pendragon too, another great ol' writer here. I'm really happy to see again ol' good writers at work. It's time to refresh the Round Robin section too, don't you think?

A while ago I posted the idea that certain songs attached to different fanfiction stories, to set the mood. As I always to listen to music while writing, I always find myself listening to the same dozen or so songs for certain characters, to set myself my mindset to that character. I'm curious if anyone does the same, and include your character's list of songs. I realize songs change with the character, but it's like a snapshot into the character's head. I read more than one fandom, several genres actually. But I just want to say I am constantly impressed by the quality of writing on Hazzardnet. Unfortunately most fanfiction I find in other genres read like written by rabid fangirls (and most are), but Dukes of Hazzard seems to have acquired a singular quality of fanfiction that rare to find. Keep up the good work, y'all.

Okaay my buddies here at Hnet, I was wondering if y'all could give me (and posisbly DaisyMae too if she wants to participate) any ideas that you want me to write up into a fanfiction to be posted exclusivly here on Hnet? They can be really simple ideas from things in the show that you'd like a perspective on, or a completly new idea they never did. Only thing I do ask is for there to be nothing crazy, like sci-fi ideas, long lost cousin/brother/sister/aunt/uncle ideas or anything that is too far out there. Anyone got anythin fer me?

After reading a post written by texasdaisy09 on the Cletus thread about him ticketing people 10 dollars for spitting, I got an idea. Boss has been known to come up with some crazy ideas to make money by ticketing people. Post any crazy ideas that Boss might come up with to help him make money when the county funds are getting low. (More than likely because he embezzled them). 1) littering inside of a garbage can 2) bleeding on the street after a car accident 3) not taking your hat off in his bank 4) drinking milk while working on a still 5) listening to the Beatles 6) eating healthy food 7) passing a penny on the sidewalk without picking it up

Every so often I'll hear a Dukes of Hazzard reference made by a DJ on a country radio station. Once there was even a DJ going by the name of "Duko Hazzard" at a local rock station. Today, I heard the unexpected. A Dukes reference by a DJ on SIRIUS XM satellite radio. I was listening to the 70's on 7 channel. (yeah, surprise, right?) All of a sudden between songs, the DJ goes: "And tonight, on the Dukes of Hazzard, for the 10 millionth time, Boss Hogg tries to frame the Duke boys for illegal sheep sheering.." When I'm writing my fiction, I listen to a song or a set of songs to set the "mood" of the story. Sometimes I think this is lost when I write. Sometimes I try to incorporate as the title of the fanfiction. Would putting the story's "themesong" into the first post be an odd idea? Or would that help help the mood of the story? Pendragon
