Dukes of Hazzard Movies

Awright, since the sequel prospects are in limbo - I think it's time we let everybody weigh in. I can't promise that this will shift the odds one way or the other. But looking back on our earliest movie posts, there were rumors about the General Lee having no flag, and there were debates about what music should be on the sountrack, ect. I can't claim that anybody was listening to us. Lookin' back, though, and taking into consideration some of the media contacts we received...it's at least possible that somebody was. So let's make some noise, eh? Maybe we'll send the string to our WB buddies and see what happens. If all else, it may amuse 'em! Brian

I just wanted to let everyone know that Amy Grant's 'Three Wishes' television show that was shot a little over 3 weeks ago in Covington will be airing this Friday night, October 21st, on NBC. Aside from Covington being the original "Hazzard County", I'm very interested to see just how the General Lee and 'The Dukes of Hazzard' will be connected with the show. GA-Duke01

I've seen a copy of it, and I must say I love it. There'S some stuff that could be better, but wahtthehell. i'm glad ( but also sad, that they crashed Dodge Chargers again) that finally a movie has come out, that is rilly interesting for me. I was over at boxofficemojo check on the dukes and in there over sea count the has made 20,300,000 in 4 days but if you look at the hole over sea board it says only 300,675 how does boxofficemojo count the money?

I know ya'll have heard they are coming out w/ the unrated version possibly, blah blah blah, but my favorite DVD site has pictures now!! after watching the good ol' boys run out rosco all those years makes me think, stunt wise... does Knoxville & Scott really have what it takes to slide across that hood or jump in and out of those windows? because if ya ask me, they couldve used a few classes from Tom & John on the subject honestly. then again i dont think Anyone could ever master getting in and out of a car like the Real duke boys. reguardless, how many people have you seen be able to slide across a hood on their knee? im gone. -Brad

Hi fans, I am new to this forum....but have been watching the show since new....I wanted to put my 2 cents here about the movie. I just saw it last night due to a free TX that I got from the purchase of a video set. I unfortunately, have to say I hated the movie. It had no plot line, no follow to the show, and to top it off- it put the dukes in a position of being the mean ones. (I mean as far as wrecking everything). I found the movie to be just for the men who wanted to see Jessica Simpson strut her body around. I give it a thumbs down...fans. I wish they could do a movie with as many of the origionals as they can get and put that on the big screen!…

Alot of people didnt like he movie, casting, etc. but what do ya expect? its 2005! and made my broken lizard (which are pretty funny guys). Anyways, point here... anyone ever see the Original "Gone in 60 Seconds"? all of the stunts and jumps were Real! the Re-make of "Gone In 60 Seconds" was a great movie yea, but they had to cut the frames per/sec down to 15 when Cage hit the nitro in the LA Flood control, where in the original they just put the pedal to the floor reguarless. the Jump in the new "Gone In 60 Seconds" was Computer Generated, the Original film was Not. So what im Trying to say here is that the film makers kept some very important parts of the film (Jumps)…

i was readin my copy of 'hot rod' magazine today with the general on the cover (im sure you all have it) and i came across a piece of interesting info about the jumps involved in the movie...there were actually 4 jumps, 3 which were launched by catapults, and 1 which was manned...now if you remember in the movie there were only 3 jumps: the bridge, highway, and courthouse...well the courthouse jump scene was first performed with a stunt driver...the stunt cooridinator thought that the jump was too short, so the first unit guys performed a catapult jump with the same car...so in the courthouse you actually see 2 jumps (different angles), not one.... just wonderin if y'all …

sadly many of our luisiana cusins (and many on the golf coast) have nearly lost every thing. It makes me realize the things that are taken for granted in life. This tradgic event is truely devistating

Personally i don't even wanna see it cuz i know i'll hate it. i don't like it when they take a perfectly great show and switch the characters. they also change the whole idea and they way everything should be. not only that but i've heard that the movie is nothing like the real DOH. I hear Rosco doesn't do the Kew Kew Kew thing and the General Lee's doors are'nt welded shut!!! i saw that Boss is'nt fat and the characters look nothing like they're supposed to!!! anyway as you probly figured out by now i really dont think much of the movie and i love the original DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fifth season of the dukes will be out in december yeehaw! heres the link to the announcement and they'll have the exact date there! What do y'all think 'bout that Yeehaw!

I have read that on differnt sites if its true then isn't that to soon or is WB trying to get more money?

Whats the earliest we could expect to hear news about a sequel? I realize it's still in theatres and we have the DVD sales to look forward to, but I'm just wondering what it will take for the WB to declare the movie a success as well as greenlight a sequel. Also, I wonder if any of the cast were signed ahead of time in case a sequel was given the go ahead or whether or not is was just a one picture deal to begin with.

Every movie gets edited, eventually. but in the trailer i began to notice tons of scenes from the dukes movie that never appeared in the actual film, that shouldve! i nabbed some screen shots here. let me know what you guys think. this one looks like the jump scene during the rally nearing the end of the flick: a great shot from the first jump in the film, not shown in theaters. Why!? It almost seems too good to be true, some say its computer generated, i say No. it was Real. Last Jump of the movie i presume? Okay Bo, why was this scene deleted buddy?
