I would like to become an extra in the movie if possible. How, when, where, or what do I do? Any information would be appreciated.

Last Sunday as part of the 2nd Annual Mopar & Vette Car CLub Challenge Benefit for Landon Robert at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA., 15 cars used in the filming of new Dukes of Hazzard movie put on an Exhibition race including the Gen Lee & police car chase... It was all in good fun, but it was a big crowd pleaser... The benefit raised over $7,500 for this lil 4&1/2 year old boy who is fighting cancer... I'm new in town, so I hate to make any complaints, but does any one agree with me when I say that this message board would be a lot better if the Message Boards were consolidated a little? I mean the Community forum that has the movies/music/hobbies, etc could be made into ONE topic. Y'all know what I'm saying? Ok guys, I have been reading a lot of posts about the new movie. People are upset about the cast and compare them to the TV show actors. First things first, I love the show as much as anyone but lets be truthful. Some of the actors were bad...very bad. John Scheinder and Catherine Bach are probably two of the worst actors ever. Bach looked good but, not that great. Even if Jessica Simpson can't act she can't be as bad as Bach. Lets face it, she looks way better than Bach did in the show. I guess for every cultural icon, there will always be people who don't think anything should change about it. Hollywood is not just about entertaining the masses, it's about making money. Do any of you really think a new movie with a bunch of aging Dukes would make it to the big screen? Hardly. Seann and Johnny did an outstanding job as Bo and Luke Duke. Why have they made Boss Hogg tall and thin in this film. I think Burt will be great as Boss Hogg but he is ment to be short and fat. They should have kept him short and fat.

I saw the cast list for this film the other day and Cletus Hogg,Cherif Little and Miss Tizdale are not on that list . Are they in the film? If so who is playing Them?. Cletus if the only one out of the 3 I would like to be in this film. Maybe he is and I missed that bit of info.

Even though my favorite season is the first my favorite episode is "Double Dukes". That's the one where two hoods disguise themselves as Bo and Luke and have their own General Lee.

Okay, I may be new here but Ive always been into the DOH (what child in the eighties wasnt?) and we all also know that the General was (or seemed as) the Real star of the show in many cases. Few I think love the TV show the Dukes of Hazzard more than I do. Let me express it this way theres a story behind my affection. Back in 1981 when at a crossroads in my car building business in Idaho, I was in the march of going to the 1981 Salt Lake City Autorama. We at the shop had a different car nearly built, when on a scouting trip to find white go-go boots for the display, I ran across a duplicate General Lee. That was so exact it was teriffc. So then, the guy who built that car was going on a LDS Mission, and needed to sell the car, so I did what any good Duke fan would do, I bought it. Touched it up, replaced the 318 with a tweaked 440, and entered the Salt Lake C…

Where did they get the cars for the movie? Did they buy some from people who had them fixed up or did they find a few junkers and have a local body shop do the work?
