All this talk about sex ,drugs and profanity language is so outragious.When did tarnishing the dukes of hazzard become the topic of this forum??? Our opinions are suppose to be about the new movie,not trashing the original t.v. series,this is so wrong! Last Sunday as part of the 2nd Annual Mopar & Vette Car CLub Challenge Benefit for Landon Robert at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA., 15 cars used in the filming of new Dukes of Hazzard movie put on an Exhibition race including the Gen Lee & police car chase... It was all in good fun, but it was a big crowd pleaser... The benefit raised over $7,500 for this lil 4&1/2 year old boy who is fighting cancer... I saw the premier out here on monday and yeah the cast aint great, yeah the general is back , but thank those people for givin it to us cause we love the dukes of hazzard. this is for the real fans yall its the fun that counts. I just picked up the latest issue of Hot Rod because my 2 1/2 yr old son pointed out the General Lee on the cover. It has an article about the cars used in the movie.

Hey everyone. How long do you think it will take for the new movie to find it way into the Wal-Mart 5 buck bin? I hope that's where it ends up because I don't think it deserves a spot on any shelf.

Does anyone know exactly how many Lees were actually used in the filming of the new Dukes movie? The number that I've heard is 25, but I've also heard that the grand total is closer to 30. Does anyone know for sure? GADuke01

Few I think love the TV show the Dukes of Hazzard more than I do. Let me express it this way theres a story behind my affection. Back in 1981 when at a crossroads in my car building business in Idaho, I was in the march of going to the 1981 Salt Lake City Autorama. We at the shop had a different car nearly built, when on a scouting trip to find white go-go boots for the display, I ran across a duplicate General Lee. That was so exact it was teriffc. So then, the guy who built that car was going on a LDS Mission, and needed to sell the car, so I did what any good Duke fan would do, I bought it. It is important that th original cast appear to show those who arn't farmiliar with the show who the REAL Dukes are. Some say the new cast is a joke. Jessica Simpson can brag to the magisines all she wants about winning the role of daisy but as far as i am concerned she is just a dumb ditsy blonde who won the part due to her good looks and popularity. I think this may have been done before. Anyome know how this movie will start. I hope It will start like the tv show did with the theme music playing and showing clips of the cast with the actors names.

Lots of people on this site seem to think that they could do a better job at making the Dukes of Hzzard tv show into a film. The film is not yet out and only a few people have seen a ruf-cut of the film. How can you moan about a film that is not out for a few months yet and you have not seen it. How would you guys have made this film what would you have done. Who would you guys get to star in this film. Who would write this film. Who would direct it where would youy film it? Jay said Willie Nelson is singing the theme tune. (The one that sounds the same as the tv theme tune from the tv show, not the rock one by cage 9. ) and that he is also the narretor. I think after seeing the trailer that he is re-doing the theme tune. I still could not be true.

I dont know if it did happen it was from a interview with the Director (I know there's talk that Catherine Bach may appear his answer We talked to her. We haven't been able to work it out YET. We want her to but I haven't talked to her. I dont know her. I had a poster on my wall for a long time.)
