We will be at the Dukes of Hazzard Homecoming event in Sperryville VA this weekend, and would greatly appreciate it if you could make it out there with your Dixie Jeep replica. Well summer officially starts in a week and a half and was wondering if anyone had any big summer plans in the make? I have a few things that I am looking forward to. First off, I am looking forward to this upcoming Friday when I will be going to Chicago to see the New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys in concert. I found out yesterday that there is a family in Alabama who lost everything they had in the recent tornado. Their 12-year-old son is a big fan of the Dukes and had a Dukes collection. Of course it is all gone now. I've been told that the family is getting help from FEMA but that isn't going to replace any of this boy's collection. Rusty Cash is planning on taking a General Lee and Rosco car to the home where this boy is now staying on June 25. He is going to deliver any Dukes item that is received by June 24 to the boy. I know this probably isn't the right place to post this, but I'm a big believer in the power of prayer, so I hope y'all will forgive me. (Plus, this seems like the type of thing someone would ask the Dukes to do.) My father is going in the morning for his third heart cath. The doctor really didn't want to do this one, but he says there is no choice. The first time Daddy had this done, when I was in college, it triggered a massive stroke. Hey y'all. I've just finished watching The Canterbury Crock,and it got me thinking. For me the ending chase sequence is my favourite chase from the whole seven series,mainly because it is so long,has some good stunts,good background music and some good plot twists. Business Week magazine recently did a story titled "The South is Spreading" on page 88 of their 4/25-5/1 issue. Apparently American southern culture is the latest global craze. Music, fashion, entertainment and food from dixie are speading like wildfire around the globe. For example, the Bellamy Brothers were recently "treated like Elvis" in places like Sri Lanka and South Africa. They gave a few reasons for the phenomenon but the one I liked most is the fact that the world has gotten crazy and folks around the world are looking for a simpler, relaxing and fun way of living. I was driving yesterday with my wife in the passenger seat and I was talking about the Dukes of Hazzard....specifically about boards I'm going to be getting from the original Duke farm. Anyway, that subject always makes me a little sad, even though I'm happy to be getting some historic souveniers. And, almost as if the Good Lord felt my sadness and wanted to cheer me up an amazing thing happened. Hey guys I was watching Daisy's Shotgun Wedding earlier and noticed that the Beaudry's shack is located in Lake Sherwood.And from various shots it seems like the shack is located behind the Duke barn.I can't do any screen caps because it's on video but if someone could post a couple of screen caps during the fight scene at the end,its when Luke goes to grab Pa Beaudry and pushes him out of the way to go for the brother. Someone might be able to recognise the former farm location from the shot of Bo and Luke flying by in the ultralights.

My 6 year old son's favorite show is - of course- the Dukes of Hazzard. While I'm here in Iraq he and his brother have tried to make my trip more comfortable by providing me with pictures they have drawn. I thought it best if these two were shared with those on this site. I also threw a picture of this years pine wood derby in for good measure. Thanks for your indulgence.

Anyone else have Time Warner standard cable? I do and where I live I can no longer get CMT. They've switched it to a channel that you have to have a digital box to get. I am seriously upset. I know this isn't a problem that can be fixed but I just thought I'd let everyone know.

Here's a question for you folks. Whenever I watch an old TV show from the late 70s or early 80s I always feel a little nostalgic about television from that era. However, when I watch the Dukes, I don't feel nostalgic at all. Since my love of the Dukes hasn't faded since it originally aired it still feels just as new and exciting as it always did. Of course I'm 50 years old. A lot of you folks here are younger....well....maybe all you folks are younger...LOL Anyway, here's my question. When you watch the Dukes does it feel like you're watching an old show?

Hey guys I've noticed a couple of things in the big heist. 1-After Neil Bishop robs Boss Hogg,when Luke is climbing out of the General Lee,listen carefully.You can hear Bo say oww and Luke apologizes to him while Neil Bishop is saying his lines. 2-After Rosco jumps onto the hood of his patrol car near the end look closely at the passenger in the General Lee as it does the 180.He's wearing the green army jacket that was supposedly given to Bo. Just thought I'd point those things out

Alright Hazzard experts, I've got a trivia question for ya. What episode is it that has Bo and Luke in jail and they use their fishing poles to reach the keys and escape? Please help me out. I have access to the seasons on DVD but this is more efficient than watching them all through just to find this. That'd take...many days. I am 35 years old. I love the dukes. And have since I was a little kid. Which kind of leads me to my question. I have a memory of a Dukes episode where Bo and Luke are standing back talking about something and looking at a sign, or maybe a barricade? One of the boys, Bo I think, walks up and unscrews something with his knife. I know that's not much to go on. I have seen most all episodes many times since then. But I have never seen whatever this was again.

Okay, just a little musing going on over here in England as I watch Dukes, and I've come across the reason I love them Dukes so much....aside from the very hot boys, incrediably smart and able girl, the family dynamic and the General Lee...its the fact that they live in a world where material things arn't important to them. Where finding a $5 bill is as exciting as finding a million, where all they have is land, family and an awsome race car and they're content with that. They dont care how much someone does or doesn't have, any extra money they get is usually donated to those who need it and they never actively seek out any reward for what they do around Hazzard.
