Hey y'all!! Most of you probably figured out that I know a thing or two about bikes, and you're probably thinking to yourself "oh no here's another thread about a bike CDoherty's just built". Well you'd be right!! Except this time instead of building a bike to work on roads and trails,I've built one to work on snow and ice. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the ski bike!! This bike started life 12 years ago as my uncles college bike. For years it got him to and from college. But then with college over and a steady job and income, the bike was left in his garden to slowly rust away. Last summer he and his wife were moving house, and whilst unloading the moving van at …

Well today we went to a Fourth of July parade and what would ya believe I saw? A little lawn mower I think it was was in it and had a '01' spray painted on it and at the bottom it had the words 'General Lee'. I wish I could have gotten a picture but I noticed it too late, and there were so many little kids in front of us wanting candy.

Many years ago, when I was a teen I ranaway from home, to follow a dream. Caught the Greyhound bus With seven dollars in my pocket, Most who knew me then called me Cheryl Lockett. I went to Hollywood to be amongst the stars, Walked the Boulevard dodging rich man cars. I got in trouble trespassing on a Warner Brothers set, Went back again on a homeless buddies bet. Motorcycle cop approached me, my heart skipped a beat, How would I have known, a Duke I would meet. He offered me his friendship,I excepted with a smile, Saved me from the cop, we visited for awhile. I watched the Dukes being chased by Roscoe P Coltrane, I laughed so hard that day, I returned again. Not trespas…

Hey y'all One of my brothers friends came by earlier with his bike that I'm rebuilding. We ended up talking for a while and he happened to see my unicycle sitting in the back of the garage. He was amazed that I could ride a unicycle, and hadn't seen anyone ride one before. I never gave any thought to riding a unicycle. I don't really take notice of the people around me anymore when I'm on a bike ( for obvious reasons) and I've picked up that habit when I ride the unicycle. So I'm just curious to see if any of y'all have any weird or unusual talents?

how many diesel guys (or gals) we got on this site? im going to school to become a diesel mechanic. (im pretty good already on the 7.3 ford) my dad owns the truck now but i want to buy it off of him as soon as i can. then the real fun starts. its a 99 f350 7.3L Lariat crew cab longbox 4x4 SRW, 4" lift and 35" tires. as it sits now it puts out about 320HP and 700lb-ft. with only an economy programmer, K&N air filter, and straight pipe exhaust. (it sounds awesome) it already go's:escape: and tows nicely, but my goal is to get to 400HP, just because its a nice number. and not too far away. haha :p

Hey y'all!! I don't know if many of y'all have noticed but I haven't been around for a while. I went off to the Gaeltacht (Irish college) for a week, I was meant to be there for three weeks but I only managed one week. I'm doing basic Irish in school, and while I'm good at it when I went away I was completely lost and could barely manage a conversation with anyone. So I had to pull out after a week. When I got home I began clearing out the accumulated bikes and scrap parts I had in my garden and garage. I'm now down to my last pile of junk, and have finally got things organized in my garage. I had about 13 bike frames that I bought just to strip and salvage, two dozen or…

  13. Hi All, I'm new here! I am arranging a Dukes of Hazzard 40th birthday party for my dear hubbie in 5 weeks time. I am getting a big canvas banner made to look like the "Welcome to Hazzard County" sign but I haven't been able to find an actual image of it - can anyone help me? I want it to be as authentic as possible. I have confederate bunting, confederate flags and a big flagpole, a dozen strawbales, moonshine punch etc etc all sorted. We are even going to have our bright orange 1970's VW camper van dressed up as The General Lee's big daddy! I am going as Daisy, my hubbie as Bo, our son as Roscoe and our 3tr old daughter as a young Daisy! Its going to be great fun but …

I had thought that my Cyber-Stalker had finally given up but unfortunately she sent yet another message this week. As usual when I tried to contact FanFiction I didn't receive a reply. I have ISP addresses but the names change with every contact. I swear, someone this obsessed for this long should be in a mental hospital. I tried not to let it bother me but a part of me had to admit that to be the object of such obsession is a bit frightening. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with my Stalker for my Dukes Stories?

  16. Hey y'all Every year in my school we have something called the Gold Medal Essay. It's basically an excuse for teachers to see how creative we are. There's five classes per year, and in each class there's one winner. My class did the essay after the Easter break. We were supposed to plan it over Easter but being Irish I kept putting it off and thinking that "sure it'll be grand". On the day of the essay I still decided that I'd "be grand". When english class started I looked at the titles for a few minutes. I can't remember much of them but two that I remember are "After the War..." and "Things That Make Me Happy". I chose the latter, and immediately began waffling on ab…

So I live in the great state of Ohio and in high school. I keep hearing about these appearances and I keep thinking, why don't they come to Cincinnati or Dayton. Just somewhere close to me or be at an event that I go to. It's annoying to see all these and know I can't go to them. I just keep wishing. Then tomorrow there's the thing at Cooter's Garage I think in Nashville and I wish I could go because that would be a really cool birthday gift. I would love my parents forever. I bet none of this will happen anytime soon, so I just need to keep on dreamin' and wishin'. (And Tom's appearance in Canton was too far away for us. So ya know.)

Hey y'all As I'm sure most of you know all about the Titanic, and what happened to her. Well I can't believe I'm saying this but it's been 100 years since the Titanic sank, along with the death of first, second, and third class citizens, along with most of the crew. I'd just like everyone to pause for a moment, and remember the 1514 unfortunate souls. Some of them could have been like you, beginning a holiday and looking forward to rest and relaxation. Or maybe they felt that their country had no more to offer, and were emigrating to start a new life. You don't have to have any sort of faith to do this, for instance I'm atheist and I'm still taking a minute out to rememb…

It has been a while since I have seen an episode, so please bear that in mind. I recall when the series began there were some lines in the opening by Uncle Jesse to the effect of "We don't hurt people, we only destroy property". I cannot find that clip on YouTube (have looked at about 12 different uploads). Is it my imagination about those lines, or am I just looking wrong?

Hi everyone, Thanks to my friend Grant I have an update on the condition of Al Wyatt, Jr. Tom Sarmento said that Al is out of the hospital and home but in a wheelchair. It appears as though he will need more knee surgery in the future. He doesn't want to come to the Professional Stuntman Invitational in a wheelchair; however, Tom has talked him into it for now. Cards and letters may still be mailed to Alan Wyatt, Jr. PO Box 6596 Malibu, CA 90264 Thanks for keeping Al in your thoughts and prayers. Phyllis

Hey y'all. I guess by now most of you know about Al Wyatt Junior's untimely death. I was recently thinking of Peggy Rea and her first anniversary, and I realised that the Christmas and early spring season is rather a sad time for Dukes fans. The first Duke member to pass away was Sorrell Booke. He passed away on February 11th in 1994 after aong battle with colon cancer. Denver Pyle passed away on Christmas Day in 1997,after a long battle with lung cancer. Waylon Jennings, the beloved balladere (misspelt?) died due to complications of diabetes on February 13th in 2002. Sweet little Nedra Volz died on January 20th 2003. To date she was and is the oldest Duke member, passing a…
