Howdy Y'all...I thought of Hazzardnet when I seen this picture....I had borrowed a box of my grandmas pictures to scan through them to make a slideshow for the next family reunion...and then I found this one...the first thing I noticed was the shirt...The picture was a bit worn and out of focused but it brought a smile to my face....It's my cousin and his Dukes shirt!! It is sooo cool cause everytime we have a family dinner at my Grandmas and it lasts till 7..I always turn the Dukes on and basically anyone near the TV turns around and watches it!! I love it!!

I checked out the Facebook page for Pepsi Throwback tonight, and was completely surprised to find a reference to our favorite TV show! Take a look, it's near the bottom - one of the earliest posts on the page. http://www.facebook.com/pepsithrowback?ref=mf&v=wall (I think you have to be a Facebook member to see it) It said: "Let's settle this once and for all. Which car was better – Kit from Knight Rider, the General Lee from Dukes of Hazard, or do we have some old-schoolers bringing Herbie to the table?" Of course, I answered The General Lee! I couldn't do anything else - now could I? So check it out - and if you haven't tried Throwback...it's awesome!

What is everyone doing this new years eve? I'm heading across the border to Buffalo to watch the Team Canada / Sweden game! Taking a limo there, and a limo back and then enjoying many.... Diet sodas

Does anybody have any suggestions for our annual chat room Christmas party? I'll throw the first hook in the water. How about Saturday the 18th from 6-midnight? (EST) Since Christmas is on a Saturday this year it's impossible to get together on a weekend close to Christmas unless we try Sunday the 26th but a lot of folks are probably having family gatherings that night too.

I posted this over on the General Lee site, but I thought I'd post it here, too. Just a little of my silliness y'all might get a kick out of. I wrote this poem last year, but I decided to make an audio recording of it for everyone and I gathered some photos to make a little video. It's almost eight minutes long, but it's a fun little Christmasy tale. Sorry that the audio is about a half-second off. That happened during the YouTube translation. It may take a while to load, but I hope you find it worthwhile. And, yes, I did ALL the voices. Crazy as that may be, considering Daisy has a line in it. So, if you enjoy it, tell others about it, and leave positive feedbac…

I thought I'd start a thread to thank all the veterans who have worked hard and sacrificed to keep our country safe. So please feel free to leave a message thanking all our veterans, leave a thank you to a specific veteran, or leave a memorial. Show them we appreciate them. Thank you, grandpa, for your 30 years of service in the Marine Corps, and especially your service during WWII. I miss you.

If anybody gets a chance tonight (March 23) watch Lou Dobbs. I sent a comment in that will be on the air. It appeared on CNN at 7:00 and will be rerun at 9:00 on the Lou Dobbs show on HNN (also known as HLN). This is a rerun of the 7:00 CNN show even though it is a different channel. The comment appears 20-25 minutes into the show (around 9:22 pm EST). It will also appear at 12:22 am EST when Lou Dobbs is rerun again on HNN (HLN) Look for the comment from "Roger from Pennsylvania")

I work at a high school and today, two students were talking to each other and one said, "Here ya go, dipstick." After doing a double-take, I was wondering, have any of you had similar experiences where "Dukes" show up in everyday life?

It's that time of year where people indulge in horror flicks and pay good money to wander through haunted houses. And why not? There's something foreboding about the waning light of day, something repelling in the slow decay of leaf and lawn. The air itself seems thinner, emptier, absent of the summer hum of insects and the trill of birdsong. The warmth of day weakens; the chill of night deepens; and the trees stand silent and bare beneath a cold, pale moon. A bitter wind gives sway to the barren branches; they creak and lift towards the mute, shadowed sky...but they will not be spared the winter. With nature's quiet, whispered reminder of our own mortality surro…

I know we've talked a lot about favorite characters, episodes, seasons and quotes but a recent post on the Uncle Jesse Quotes thread made me think we should do a favorite scenes thread. (If we've already done it, let's do it again). Post one at a time to keep the thread going a little longer.

What jeans does Bo Duke wear? Im looking for some jeans like that but cant find anything like it. My guess would be that they are Levis 517 but im not sure. And if you dont know what they are, whats a good pair of mens jeans that are real slim tight fit and have a boot cut and are light washed? Thanks

I just wanted to say a hearty "Congrats!" to Chet, who just landed what could probably be a dream job. Perhaps not in pay, but in the type of work, as it involves training horses and working on a ranch. Fresh air, wide open spaces... not a bad way to make a living. Chet and I have been frenemies for years, but all the drama aside I'm very proud of this accomplishment. Sal-ute!:beer:

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of you out there who have served your country. My dad served in the Navy, My Uncle served in the Marines and was KIA in Vietnam and listed on the wall in DC and buried in Arlington, and my grandpa served in the Navy during WWII in the P2 boats. Our country would not be what it is today if not for those who served it. So thank you to each and everyone of you out there for all you've done when you served. God Bless you and thank you for serving your country and Happy Memorial Day!
