  4. Just wanted to let everyone know, Kristy had her little boy at 5pm yesterday. His name is Kameron Elijah and he weighed 7.5lbs. Still haven't seen a picture yet:(. Hope to get up there to see him in person in the next couple of weeks:D
  5. Thank you both. It was quick enough that Momma didn't suffer much, so I'm counting that as a blessing. I spoke with Kristy a few minutes ago and she said she has started having contractions this morning. Guess Kam will be here soon:)
  6. I know I haven't been on here for a while, but I thought I would let y'all know a few things that have happened. Kristy is doing very well. Her newest boy, Kameron, will be here in a few days. If she doesn't have him naturally, they are going to induce labor on June 2. On a sadder note, my sweet Momma passed away Friday night. She went into the hospital three weeks ago being told that she had gall stones. Two weeks ago we were told that it was liver cancer and the only thing she could do was take a pill to slpw the progression. One week ago today I was told to contact Hospice, take her home and make her as comfortable as I possible could. On the upside, she told me over and over again how wonderful her Mother's Day had been, and she died surrounded by those who love her.
  7. I'm just about always reading. My favorite authors, I guess would be Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, Jim Butcher, Rob Thurman, PN Elrod, and Karen Slaughter. My all time favorite book, though, is Good Omens/Bad Omens by Terry Pratchett - I love the Satanic order of the Babbling nuns who can never stop talking, no matter what, and the Hell-hound named Dog. (Yes, I know, I'm twisted lol:wink:)
  8. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Y'all be careful - especially if you have to travel. Remember, Cooter takes Thanksgiving off Which reminds me, I'm off to make Hawaiian Pie - YUM!!
  9. Thought y'all would like to know - Kristy is pregnant again! The first ultrasound showed a bit of blood, but she had a second one yesterday and it has cleared up. The baby's heartbeat is very strong and the doctor says that both mother and baby seem to be coming along just fine. Fingers crossed that everything will continue to go well, and thank you all again for your prayers.
  10. Thanks, y'all. When I talked to her earlier, she had just come from what should be her final ultrasound. The doctor says that her blood count is a little low, but other than that she seems healthy, relatively speaking. Kristy wanted me to tell y'all that it really means a lot to her that people she doesn't even know have been praying for her and concerned about her baby. I told her that proves what I've said all along - the people of HazzardNet are really special.
  11. I really wish I had better news to post in this update. I talked to Kristy this morning. She lost the baby around 5am. She goes to the doctor in the morning for a final ultrasound to make sure she is ok otherwise. We really want to thank everyone for your prayers. You will never know how much it means to both of us.
  12. Believe me, I agree with y'all 100%, that's what Kristy and I have been arguing about all week. I finally got through to her husband's cell phone today. He says that he will be taking her tomorrow at the very latest. He has been arguing with her, too, but she just keeps telling everyone that the doctor told her before there was nothing he could do. This is her first time using this doctor, but for some reason, she is not interested in getting a second opinion. I keep telling her, that would have been my first move when he made the "IF you are still pregnant" comment. I have no problems asking for multiple opinions if it is something this important. Scott (her husband) is supposed to let me know as soon as he has any real news.
  13. I just talked to Kristy. Not sure if this is really bad or good. She has started bleeding a lot, all day long. She isn't in any pain, so I'm hoping this means that her body is just trying to fix the problem and the baby is still ok. She doesn't want to go to the doctor until she is sure she isn't losing the baby. Says they would just dispose of it, and she could not handle that. I will let y'all know when I find out what's really going on. I know, one way or another, God will fix this.
  14. Thank you, everyone. Her name is Kristy, and they have been considering the name Karley for the baby if it's a girl. I spoke to Kristy yesterday and she said she felt better than she had all week. Maybe it's from all the kind prayers and thoughts!
  15. Hey, all. I know it seems like I only post on here when there's a problem, and I do apologize for that. I tend to be more of a lurker than a poster, I guess. I spoke with my best friend of 20 years earlier today. We have been friends so long that we are definitely family. (She is the mother of my five nephews) She is pregnant with number six now and had just come home from her first ultrasound. The news is not good at all. The doctor says that there is a STRONG chance that she will lose this baby. (She has some internal bleeding that is not endangering her, but is a major danger to the baby.) He says that if she is still pregnant in two weeks, he will perform another ultrasound to check for the bleeding. (He's hoping it is just a fluke of some kind) If she is still bleeding then, he will send her to a specialist to try to save the baby. Needless to say, we really, really need any prayers we can get. Thank you all.
  16. People's Choice, I think.
