Are you sure it was welded? I think I read somewhere that they were bolted on. I don't have a picture of that but I have a picture of a replica which is yet to be put on the car where you can see how they would mount it.
And I also use Flickr. All the pictures I have posted on here are hosted on that website. By now that is 1800+ pictures for free.
I think he would've functioned better as a sheriff of another county, but they needed a sheriff for this episode while Rosco was away. He did quite a good job for the spot he had to fill in but I personally liked Grady Byrd best as temporary replacement.
Rest in peace Clifton.
I never noticed this. but then again. Huey, Dewey and Louie are called Kwik, Kwek and Kwak in Dutch. Which are basically variations on the word Quack in Dutch.
Who do you call a millennial? I was born in 93. I know Rotary phones, VHS, Record players and Cassettes! I still actually play Cassettes and records from time to time.
I know Alan Jackson. Love his famous songs and a few others. We don't hear country on the radio over here so that first thing I did when we got internet in 2007 was search for some country music. I came onto Alan Jackson Dont rock the Jukebox and Chattahoochee.
I'm not sure how it work with turn signals over here but I've seen american cars with the tail lights on one side blinking once way long ago, i believe it was an 03' Mustang. I dont know how they would function on the front.
What I do know however is that your not allowed to have a horn with more than one tone, meaning you can have a musical horn but only if you wire it so it doesn't function as the original horn you use with the horn ring/button on the wheel.
Also you can not have the wide pushbar over here as the pushbar on those are directly welded to the frame. Your not allowed to have something which alters the cars' crash structure. Knowing this the small pushbar would'nt be allowed here either but I've seen pictures or people using them so i guess they make an exception for that as the crash structure still works normally I guess.
I don't know the rules for this in the UK but went I was in the UK I went to a museum and saw my first ever general lee painted charger (it was a 68, still better than none). it had a wide pushbar, and I just had to know if they welded it to the frame there. This is the only time I ever layed on the floor of a museum to take pictures. this is what I saw.
Welded to the frame. I wonder if it was street legal.
Wasn't it a few years ago that someone else from the UK got pulled over in a General Lee, but that time is was for using the Dixie Horn? I could be wrong but what I remember was his surname was Duke and the couple inside was just married.
From the latest batch.
I'll take a guess and say this is from a promotional picture.
I know I've seen this guest actor but the episode? Looks like the set of Colonial city.
New deputy in town! S04E21
Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch or a different one? I don't see much familiar.
There is no list of which specific chargers were used. However all or almost all of the Chargers used on the show were bought second hand. At one point it is even said that they used helicopters to fly over places so they can spot Chargers and aks if the owner might consider selling it to them!
Most Chargers on the show were only repainted on the outside as they were jump cars and only used for one scene. They might've used some in the factory color but I highly doubt they bought them new. Remember the 1969 Charger was already a 10 year old car by the time Dukes of Hazzard actually aired.
