  1. Okay From that Michael Jackson song 'Annie are you okay'
  2. So I heard! Aint got Prime, but I got me some high quality screencaps of my favorite jump from someone through twitter. And before I forget, welcome!
  3. Cant comment about that or have really seen it. But two of my work colleagues say they have one in their car. But I've never been near their cars...
  4. Everyone here still knows at least something about dukes of Hazzard. An orange car with 01 on the sides, Dixie horn, A flying orange car. Everyone here knows it. Dixie horns also seem popular over here. You hear one like at least every two weeks. It's illegal to have it as your regular horn as you cant have multitone horns. Must be wired as a seperate thing.
  5. I'll never understand how they can set the prices like that...
  6. And the just released trailer for confirmation.
  7. I think the best way to get measurements is to ask Justin Cornette through one of his Instagrams or his website RealGeneralLee. Thats one of his instagram names as well as the .com website. Carshow Graveyard Carz got the measurements for their restauration from him. The old website you mention might've been his even. Heres a page from his site about making a replica. He doesnt mention the measurements, but whats on there is really accurate. http://www.realgenerallee.com/specific-information-on-building-an-accurate-replica.html
  8. Welcome to HazzardNet!
  9. Who? Not that I know them probably... But still.
  10. I've heard about the jump track before, but the Slam Shifters Raceway is new to me. The puzzle is very interesting as the puzzle is a behind the scenes photo of the jump where the General is about to hit the last car of the pile!
  11. I guess it was probably was just cheaper to dub them in and pretend the background music is playing through the Boars Next sound system. Same reason (I suspect) all of the speeders had a contract with Warner Brothers at the time.
  12. Danica raced Indycar before racing NASCAR where she won an Indy oval race in Japan the day before ChampCar had their last race. I heard it explained here as that the hot weather together with the weather from last night/day severely reduced the grip on IMS. There were a lot of people just losing it while driving without doing anything stupid which I've not seen in previous years. I heard IndyCars do not have brakes fitted when doing oval races, do they use engine braking to get into the pits?
  13. Even over here we sometimes see that. Unfortunately the banger races where they were have not been here locally the last few years. This weekend might be hot, but I'm staying inside! Porsche Supercup and Formula One in Monaco which will be followed up by the Indy 500. Busy day of watching Television!
  14. I've never learned to be a car mechanic or anything. But due to YouTube and tv shows I know about nearly every part of a V8 in English without knowing any of it in my own language...
  15. Probably, I think there have been before. I think there was one during a hearing test you had to do at school here back in the day. They asked you what you heard of just a single word.
  16. Yes. I saw this car was for sale like a week before the event where it was said the car was restored. I guess its more of a restomod where they took the Vinyl roof of and did the same like with General Lees. Don't know if the car was sold before the event or if the original owner was driving it. Couldn't find the car afterward on the infield. This event was at Zandvoort. There were only American cars. Partly. Yes, the 500 had the flush rear and front, but this wasn't a 500 or trying to be. The engine was stroked, meaning it was now an 8+ liter engine, which is more then 500ci. Its so strange hearing engine's are so large in some american cars, here they usually are not bigger than 2,5 liters in personal cars. I believe he said it was a reference to that. I couldn't make out if he had it stroked or the previous owner though, he bought it with at least some of the stuff already on it.
  17. I guess this goes here. You probably know this guy, but if you don't. Tom Sarmento is one of the guys who prepared General Lee's for the show and is full of great stories about it. Hoss has a great video of him, I cant find it at the moment... But anyway. He met up with two big Duke fans from my country twice now and they have recorded some footage of him driving in their almost perfect replica General Lee which I thought was worth sharing.
  18. I thought I'd update the thread with some Chargers I saw at an event recently. I don't know if it was an option back in the day or what, but this red Charger has a brighter red line on the side for some reason. If you know your Mopars, you can see that this is a 1968 Charger. Strangely it has Vinyl roof moldings without the roof. Was going at full speed around the track. This one was my favorite, it had a story attached to it as I was able to talk to the owner. Stories add to the car in my opinion, it has a certain charm. Look who joined in on the fun!
