Hey y'all FYI: The Dukesfest DVD may be a bit behind schedule for release due to some rights issues with WB. I'm not sure how far behind...I do know that it is in the final editing stage.... If I hear more, I'll let ya know.

I am a die hard fan of the dukes of hazzard as much as anyone, but I envy the states, because I can never make it that far to go to at least one Duke fest once in my life. I never hear of one in the maritimes , or in Canada for that fact. I would so love if they could have at least one show in New Brunswick you know!!! I would die if I could go to at least one Duke fest, just one, before all the original actors pass on...... There is plenty of places just in Moncton alone, not to mention the old race track in Miramichi New Brunswick, hell if anywheres in New Brunswick would be great!!!! I know that Dukesfest just started today and unfortunatly I didn't get to go so Im stuck at my house woderin how much fun y'all are havin...So when y'all git back I would love to hear how things went? Did ya have a lot of fun? How was the weather? How long you had to wait in line and all that kind of stuff...Im just curious...cant wait to hear bout it! N sorry if my questions sounded stupid.

Starting a thread for Dukesfest 2008 to share news and stuff. Me first: Byron Cherry posted on a Yahoo group that John was filming near his home and invited him over to hang out. They hugged for the first time in 25 years and had a blast and thus it is official Byron a.k.a. Coy Duke will be at Dukesfest 2008. He goes on to say that if anyone has any Duke related questions you can e-mail him and he'll be more than happy to answer.

As many of ya know, Tom couldn't make the 2007 DukesFest due to touring with the off-broadway musical production of "Chicago." DukesFest carried on, but of course "Luke Duke" was missed. HazzardNet has early, unofficial information that indicates Tom will be at the 2008 DukesFest. You won't find this news on any other Dukes website yet, but the information we obtained is from a viable enough source that we're sticking our necks out and reporting it. Note, Tom usually has an escape clause that lets him bail if a hot Broadway gig comes up, so this is never written in stone. So far, though, it looks good. I have just learned of a recent interview with John Schneider.They were discussing the uproar about the Confederate flag and in the interview he said they are going to do their part and the flags will be covered on the cars with a magnet or something.I'll post the links hope it's ok. I hope he was joking around but he sounds serious.We at the CGLFC are trying to get official word about this interview from John himself. AGAIN THIS IS JUST RUMOR AT THIS POINT.However,IF it is indeed confirmed that the flags must be covered I will strongly say we all should boycott Dukesfest. Biggest state out of 50. You know there are plenty of Dukes fans. I wish somebody would organize, or the official Dukesfest People would bring that thing to Texas at some point in the future. Or has it already been and I just missed it?

This topic came up on the CGLFC whether any of the actors from either of the newer Dukes movies be invited or even allowed or considered to be at Dukesfest now with it being under Johns control. The general consensus over there is no they should not be invited and I whole heartedly agree that they should not be there.In fact I probably would boycott if I found out any were going to be there.Dukesfest should only be for people involved with the TV series period.

Is the rumor true of Dukesfest celebrating the 30th anniversary in Atlanta?

hello my name is bryan ferguson i live in oklahoma city and i went to dukefest 07 it was my first dukefest ever and i loved it my experience was great but i did not get to meet the cast bo luke daisy and i did not get to do my favorite thing was to get a ride in the general lee with bo luke daisy and cooter the trip from oklahoma to tennesee was wonderfull and i stayed at the raddison hotel and there were a lot of dukefans staying there and i waled over to coooters place and i was in duke heaven and i saw some of greatest cars and people on the planet everyone there was like a big dukesfamily and i was exepted into the family even after i told everyone i was from oklahoma…

Sorry I have not posted much since I joined a couple years ago. I was still duke crazy....i did go to dukesfest and I had a BLAST!!! DID I SAY I HAD A BLAST??? I met John for the first time..and he is just super!!! Most of the rest of the cast, I have met before..Jimmy came to Michigan and I loved meeting him!! Have fun ya'all katz
