Dukes of Hazzard Movies

Talk about Dukes of Hazzard movie script ideas, casting suggestions, and more here!

  1. Started by back,

Me and a bud were debating this yesterday... Okay, we all remember the Original series where (of course) they had to show the car in mid air in slow motion. it almost seems that they did the same in the new flick? Only for one jump. the last one in the flick actually (off of cooters truck). but why do they seem like there in "Slo-Mo" in the new flick? they just made them bigger! Where my bud argues that they slow-motioned the jumps just as done in the original series. thoughts? im gone. -Brad

If you go to ezydvd.com.au, for a limited time only, you can get a free 'The Dukes Of Hazzard' licence plate for a souvenier. I am not related to the website personally, I'm just mentioning a good thing!!!!!!!

Some people have disliked the cast since the day that Stiffler and Jackass where cast as the the Duke Boys. But the truth is the problem isn't the cast at all. The problem lies in the director and how he wanted the the charactors portrayed. Unfortanatly some of the new charactors had little or no resemblence to the originals. I think the cast did their best at playing the charachtors the way the director wanted them. Its no secret that when this movie got the green light some of the biggest names in hollywood wanted to be a part of this movie, so as fans along with people in general, many of us had had high expectatations for a really good cast with BIG names. BIG NAMES…

  4. To everyone here at H-Net...... I want to take the time to apologize for my recent sort of argumentative style. As most know that is not what I like to do. I got bugged a bit about what I felt was getting too compounded and I sort of lashed out. For that and to anyone I have offended I did not want that at all, you have my apologies... Everyone here is a "True" Dukes fan and that will never be taken away from any of ya'll no matter what. The movie aside , which has caused various discontent for most of us, this THE place to be for fans of the DOH. Sure we might not see eye to eye on the movie and that is OK. But there is so much Dukes and other stuff to talk about . …

Hi fans, I am new to this forum....but have been watching the show since new....I wanted to put my 2 cents here about the movie. I just saw it last night due to a free TX that I got from the purchase of a video set. I unfortunately, have to say I hated the movie. It had no plot line, no follow to the show, and to top it off- it put the dukes in a position of being the mean ones. (I mean as far as wrecking everything). I found the movie to be just for the men who wanted to see Jessica Simpson strut her body around. I give it a thumbs down...fans. I wish they could do a movie with as many of the origionals as they can get and put that on the big screen!…

  8. I think I might of made sence of why the director brought so much filth into Hazzard county IT IS NOT MEANT FOR US Put your self in the directors shoes. Your strictly making this movie for the money. You basicly have two target audiances 1 Dukes Fans. 2 Super Trupers/ Broken Lizard American Pie Jacka** Fans. They cleaned up the theater version to an extent so Dukes fans wouldn't outrage at WB but still left some stuff in for the other target audiance The point Im trying to make is that producers knew the Super Trupers/ Broken Lizard American Pie Jacka** Fans would be disapointed if it wasn't a dirty movie Therefore the unrated DVD is for them; not us

Hi Everyone, If, by some sheer dumb luck, or a bolt of lightning were to hit me and I was able to get something to someone at Warner Bros. regarding my sequel, which part can be found through the link below, would you watch it? 12. Ok, in 10 minutes on tonight's Smallville episode, the on-screen reunion of John and Tom proved a number of things: 1) They were never "too old" to be in the Dukes movie - life doesn't end at 30 after all 2) They had more chemistry between the 2 of them, then the entire movie cast 3) It didn't matter that the Charger wasn't orange 4) Yes, they can act 5) John's still the better driver 6) The Smallville episode paid more true homage to the spirit of the Dukes of Hazzard than anything the movie gave us 7) WB does have decent writers - where the hell were they during the Dukes movie script? 8 Plaid shirts are still " in " 9) Tom can still climb through car windows …

  13. Whats the earliest we could expect to hear news about a sequel? I realize it's still in theatres and we have the DVD sales to look forward to, but I'm just wondering what it will take for the WB to declare the movie a success as well as greenlight a sequel. Also, I wonder if any of the cast were signed ahead of time in case a sequel was given the go ahead or whether or not is was just a one picture deal to begin with.

I want to see how "vanilla" it was before Broken Lizard put their "tain...oops, I mean spin", yeah that's right....... on it and read it for myself. Anyone know where I can get a copy? or read it online?

  15. As found on filmforce.com. I did minor editing for topic relevance; you can read the whole thing at: http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/638/638928p2.html IGN Interviews Jay Chandrasekhar We talk one-on-one with the Broken Lizard member and director of The Dukes of Hazzard.by Steve Head August 3, 2005 - Perhaps you know him as Ramathorn the party-loving police officer in Super Troopers, or as Putman the dreadlocked British tennis instructor in Club Dread? Jay Chandrasekhar has for the last 10 years been an integral part of the comedy troupe Broken Lizard, directing each of their films beginning with 1996's Puddle Cruiser. Now Chandrasekhar's at the helm of The Dukes of Ha…

It was so nice to see Tom and John on Smallville Nov 3. It was nice that the charger did its stuff on there they did a nice jump too. If you didnt catch it Lex refered to Luke as a Good ol Boy to John. I did notice that there was some references from DOH show. I liked seeing them together again. Too bad they could not been Bo and Luke in the DOH movie. I do have an idea of why WB did that show because a lot of true Dukes fans including myself was not happy with the movie so to make it up to us they had the duke boys come together because WB is the one who released the DOH movie in the first place. For the sequel they need the real duke boys in it and if they did i would t…

I know ya'll have heard they are coming out w/ the unrated version possibly, blah blah blah, but my favorite DVD site has pictures now!! I love the unrated cover.. in fact, that SHOULD have been the original theatrical poster imo (they could have made the unrated sign a fence or something).. anyhow, read about it here: http://tinyurl.com/9ag6d -Dave

I just wanted to let everyone know that Amy Grant's 'Three Wishes' television show that was shot a little over 3 weeks ago in Covington will be airing this Friday night, October 21st, on NBC. Aside from Covington being the original "Hazzard County", I'm very interested to see just how the General Lee and 'The Dukes of Hazzard' will be connected with the show. GA-Duke01
