Dukes of Hazzard Movies

A few other Dukes-related message boards are reporting that the unrated version of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' that will be released on Tuesday along side the theartical released version of the film, is really raunchy. From what I understand, anyone looking to purchase the "unrated" version of the film can expect to hear more profanity, more sexual inuendos, nudity, and drug use. I still have trouble believing that they did this to a movie called 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. GADuke01

I'm just going to flat out and say it. If you are a TRUE Dukes fan, don't buy this DVD. Who wants this farse of a movie to get any more money than it already has. We've all spoke our peace here and I think the consensus is that the movie isn't what we as TRUE Dukes fans wanted and we don't want them to make anymore like this. The best way for this to happen is if we don't support the DVD. I think we should push to have the TV Reunion movies released on DVD instead.

One of the highlights of the Dukes movie was that awesome chase in downtown Atlanta after Daisy, Annette and Katie sprung Bo & Luke. In the background(after Luke ticked off Bo for stealing Katie), we heard AC/DC's If You Want Blood in the background. What songs/musical pieces do you think would fit this chase? While going to my local target at 9:00 AM, I passed the cheap movie section and saw dukes of hazzard there for 13.97$ all I have to say is..... YAY!

Ok. First of all, I'm sick. I'm sick of this movie. I'm sick of people who now think this lame excuse for a movie is the Dukes of Hazzard and I'm sick of what this stupid movie has done to the image of the Dukes of Hazzard. Was anybody else here mad at just how few songs actually wound up on the Dukes movie soundtrack? If it'd had If You Want Blood on it, I'd've bought it. Yeah, I know there could be licensing issues, but that few a songs on it just chapped my hide. Maybe WB could issue a volume 2...

I was reading IMDB today and wanted to verify some of the supposed "goofs" in the movie. Well I was surprised to find this one was actually true. The pictures were larger, but I figured you would need to see more than one to get the idea, so here are several. This is right before they "shoot the moon".

I have a different idea for a dukes of hazzard movie. what about having the original cast but also have the children of bo and luke. They are in there mid 4os so they can have children of their low 20s. i think that would be cool.

I know this has been discussed numerous times, but bare with me... okay all, as a few here may know im a Serious movie buff. and a big fan of Broken Lizard's films as well but after watching the flames the other night my bud decided "hey. i just bought the dukes movie! lets watch it!" when we all saw it in theaters as is. I beleave that this movie was a outlet for a Dukes fan (if you can call him that) and to write a Duke movie based on what he felt how the Dukes should have been like. On CMT Insider John does say that the first 5 episodes did had more grip to them meaning they had some mild cussing, Daisy showed her body more, and I think they make some other references the later episoses didn't have. I think what Jay wanted to do was to capture the feel of those episodes but went a bit too far when he put references to Jackass and Super Troopers.. As for me, if it wasn't for it having the General in it, I really don't think I would have enjoy it as much as I did.

Just saw the movie (unrated version) a few days ago. I have never seen the dukes of hazzard before, so I thought i'd give it a chance. Anyway, it made me want to see what the real dukes was like, so I'm watching a marathon on CMT right now. I think I like the series better. The few eps I've seen have the characters portrayed a lot different than on the movie, i think. Anyway, the one thing about the movie i thought was cool was seeing my university on the big screen (LSU). The music made this film even more fun to watch .. It was like the perfect songs at the perfect time.... 1. Mississippi Queen - Mountain - gave me goosebumps when the General was first born and it's lights came . Then in slow motion with Mississippi Queen famous guitar riff.....Awesome 2. My Wife Thinks Your Dead - Junior Brown - The Balladeer had to have a song in there. Boss Hogg is boiling crawdads and it's the song heard in the background. 3. Shoot To Thrill - AC/DC - Another great moment and perfect song when Luke is hanging out the General's window shooting his bow when they are getting chased 4. Busted In Baylor County - Shooter Jennings - Too good .Loved the song…

Even though the movie wasn't even close to being even a little bit like the original, I still enjoyed it for what it was, and here are two of my favorite quotes out of the movie.....
