Being new to this board, I'm not sure how much of my opinion I should put forth, but . . . it seems to me like this movie is just another attempt to cash in on 80's nostalgia. I'm a bit of a purist though, and it seems to me like the producers and creators of The Dukes would endear themselves to us more if they made another original tv movie. It would probably go over better than a big screen version with actors we've never heard of or heard of in passing. Hey yall. I stumbled onto your site a few weeks ago. I figured I'd give yall another update about the movie. I have two friends who are extras in the movie, so I went to watch them while they were filming today in Clinton. All of the stars were there filming a big scene with about 125 extras outside the courthouse. They also did 2 jumps with the General Lee this morning, one small one with a stunt driver, and another long jump with a dummy in the car. It was pretty exciting seeing the filming up close. I know we all had this discussion 1,000 times before. Now I liked the new Dukes movie honestly, and I still do. Here out my story. I was looking for an avatar on msn search. I typed in the Dukes of Hazzard. What comes up? Mostly all new Dukes pictures! I AM SO SICK OF THIS! It is almost all the new dukes! The original is always better. Ill give the ways that is different in the movie compared to the old Dukes a little later. It will be a LONG list.

Something I noticed in the new movie reminded me of something that I've heard Dukes creator Gy Waldron mention in an interview before. I have heard Waldron state that had the series continued past '85, there was a possibilty that they were going to have the Dukes talk to the General Lee and possibly have someone do a voice-over for the General Lee. Not only would fans just be able to see this car that in many ways was as much of a cast member as any of the actors, but they would be able to hear the car's perspective. When you think about it, the idea of actually being able to hear the General Lee's perspective is really no more ridiculous than anything we saw in the ep…

With the opening of the new movie and just the fact that I am a big Dukes fan I want to feature a General Lee on the cover on the next issue of the magazine but I need to find someone in my area that is hiding one in there garage. I want it to be as close to the original as possible. I went to Chryslers in Carlisle, PA on Friday but the ones I saw there on Friday weren't quit right. I just watched one episode where Luke was curled up in the back of Roscoe's car with Flash. When Roscoe got out and left, so did Luke. Luke said "Good girl" to flash. I'm lost. I was thinking Flash was a dude. Maybe Luke lifted the tail farther than we did....

Other Things happened in Hazzard, likewise there were other people living in Hazzard. Think there ought to be a movie of what the other folks in Hazzard were doing etc. Also While everyone knows the General Lee, did you notice at the few first episodes, Cooter while working in the junk yard drove Starsky & Hutch' Red Torino, with the white strip down the side. Speaking of Cooter how come no one has put up a photo of his tow truck? Both the blue and white one as well as the yellow one?

This is for anyone who has seen this movie. What are Cooter and Enos and Cletus like in this movie? Are the actors playing them any good? No one has said much about them. I bet they have small parts in this movie?

What parts of the movie were re-shot back in LA or can you not tell?
