The General Lee

Just yesterday I've ordered on-line a model of the General Lee: I'll receive it on Friday! Woooowwwwww!!

1.) What is the best (most authentic) color to use? Ex: hemi-orange or the corvette flame red? I've heard diff'rent versions. What's the difference? 2.) Was there a specific "tan color" that they used for the interior during the show or just about any ol' tan color is good enough? Thanks for any input! Aaron

i have allway wanted a general and have been looking for a car to start with hard to find one in good shape

First of all this is my first post so I just wanted to say hello to everyone! Been a duke fan since I was about 6 years old...very happy to find this site.. I searched a little bit but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for...anyone know any websites that sells old chargers or even restored chargers? As you probably guessed I do plan on making myself a General Lee within the next year or so...anyway any help is appreciated!

People with no respect for this movie need to get the hell out of this website i mean people come in here and start s*** with people that know every thing about ths shows and they really think they know it all but really they dont! i have watched this show since i was like 5 and i have always loved bo duke! i love this show and people who hate it need to just do us all a favor and they need to just stay off this site and leave us duke fans alone!

Hey guys i have been a dukes fan for years and i really wanna build me a General Lee i live here in arizona and i want a General but i thought about waiting so i wasnt driving it everyday but now after watching the movie trailer and seeing all the great pics of your guys Generals im thinking about changing my mind and building one as a daily driver that and i live in an apartment so i dont have a garage to build a General in right now so i thought buy one i can drive and fix up at the sametime what should i do im torn i would love everyones opion on this matter please help

Hi ! Does anyone know the exact color of the General Lee?

Hey y'all, guess what. I was looking at a car magazine my stepdad showed me and there is new GENERAL LEES out. They are like "future" cars. Some looked like corvettes, lamborghinis, cobalts, etc.... Any cars that look like some weird future craft car. They were all hemmy orange and were painted like the general. But, as y'all know, there is NO, NO general lee wanna-be's that will look like the original. Oh, and in the new movie, i noticed that when the general gets re-done, the horn is higher pitched than the original GENERAL LEE. Plus, it is more red than hemmy orange. Got any other differences from the movie? tell me. reesie

I saw the ORIGINAL general lee recently at a car show It was the car that the doh version was based on It was a 1940 Ford Mustang with a confederate flag painted as if it was draped over the hood and over the trunk, with a pic of the general lee on the doors on the roof (where general lee is written on the doh version) is the phrase "This man fought for our country, our rights and our lives. We must remember him at all costs." it was sweet, but not a good as the charger version here is a stock 40 mustang

I found some info on some of the remains of chargers used in the show: Watching these episodes, several Dodge Chargers were driven/jump into Canals -- never to be seen again. The waterways on the Warner backlot are considerably deep (up to 35 feet). What kind of pushbar was used early-on on the General, before the more recent ones from just before the show ended? Also, what kind of roll cage was used on Lee #1, just for accurate reference?

Let's talk about things that could be added to the General's paint job, just 'cause. how's this? Flames riding from the front bumper to the door side of the front wheel? Back two years later, in case someone reads ancient threads, hope the system doesn't bump this deal up. I didn't mean desecration at all, just, y'know, for humor purposes, but y'all are right, you don't change a uniform and that's just what the General's paint is: his uniform, and you just can't deface that.
