Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Dukes of Hazzard fans... I discovered something now I have to check the series for this. The 2 versions of Racing For Home PS and PC and PS Daisy Dukes It Out you see the bottom of the Waylon beard. After the 1st couple of guitar plucks. During the first couple plucks of the guitar his head nods down and the bottom of beard is seen. Now I have to look for that in the show cuz I never noticed. Since it's the same footage in the game, it's probably there in the series too?

I finally did it. I went and joined Facebook so I could meet more Dukes fans. Who knows, maybe I can get a few of them to visit the HazzardNet......and maybe even stay longer than a visit.

I purchased a martin warthog bow a year or so ago. I have been told its in very good condition but was missing some stuff. I picked up the 8 arrow quiver but I had to purchase another old bow to get it but it is the correct one at least. A friend of mine brought me s martin deerslayer sight and I put a new arrow rest on it too. Was wondering if anyone knows exactly what sight was used on the one in the show? I got the 3 pin deerslayer sight on it now and it looks good but I don't think that was the one. Definitely a cool old school wood bow. Just trying to get as close as I can to the one on the show.

hey guys, just wondering if yall ever noticed that john Schneider ran funny like something was wrong with his leg. he was very slow compared to tom and the episode about his new boots focused on it and once bo was sitting on a keg and said his leg fell asleep when he limped. it didn't fit with any story of the episode. there is a few more things I cant think of now.

Now when Bo and Luke entered the garage, Boars Nest, Sheriff's office, the farm, etc are they on a set or really in that place? We see the General pull up to the garage or the Sheriff's office...when they enter the location is it somewhere else on a sound stage or at that location on the square? Why are some episodes a real farm is used and then the next episode a small set (fake farm) is used?

How many watched the Dukes Friday night?? I started with one armed bandits and finished all of season one today. January 26, 1979 was a day or night that will always be in my memories. I was 5 years old and my mom said I had never sat still that long ever lol. Them first five episodes will always be my favorites since they were filmed in Georgia. Still such a good show.

Hey, you guys remember when this guy jumped out of the outhouse just before Rosco ( ?) hit it? Do you also remember when those crooks were chasing Bo/Luke and they kept going around and around the square and then he finally got into his truck and just before he closed his door the crooks hit it and knocked it off? I think he was the same guy. For some reason he reminds me of Mclean Stevens ( MASH). That's one of those characters that appeared briefly . I don't think he had a name though.

I just got my Dukes of Hazzard Unofficial Companion book in the mail. Wow! How have I lived without this thing for so long?! It was written in 1998 by David Hofstede and is 350 pages long. I'm not an internet shopper but my wife is so she ordered it with a 20 dollar Amazon gift card I got for my birthday last month. The book is paperback and looks brand new and only cost 17 dollars. Fantastic! If you don't have this...get it!

I was 7 years old when the show 1st aired in '79. I loved Smokey & The Bandit "original movie" but hadn't seen it & that age yet. This show was the best thing since catfish and hush-puppies for S&B fans on a weekly basis. The 1st 5 episodes are the only shows that I recognize. When they moved it to Hollywood it just went down hill from there on. I'll give them credit & 1st they tried to @ least make a effort for 1 or 2 shows for it to appear to be Georgia or a "real town" with paved roads, etc but the plot changed, from what I remember they picked up new writers, producers, etc. based on behind the scenes specials about the show. Dukes fans... This one is slightly better than 2005 as far as the characters go, but still not as good as the original 1979-1985 series. Right y'all?

Dukes of Hazzard trivia alert! 😂 Did you catch this goof in the show's miniature toy car stunts? Non of the Dukes ever switcht clothes much (except Daisy then ofcourse) but when they did I thought they looked quite nice. I loved Bo in the Brown jacket and all the men (including Jesse lol)) looked very handsom in tuxedos. What do you think: shirt or tux?

I never liked the reunion show because the three younger Dukes had abandoned a frail Uncle Jesse and moved away. They never would have done that, at least not all 3 of them. Imagine what Hazzard would be like today. What is your version of it? I think Daisy would live in town married to Sheriff Enos. She would be a manager at a store in town and they'd have twin girls, both seniors in college at Atlanta. Bo never married and moved away and became an administrative executive for NASCAR. Luke still runs the farm with his wife, and youngest son. His other son and daughter have families of their own and live nearby and always bring the grandchildren out to learn farmwor…

...the last DOH aired(if the airdate on the DVDs are correct). Later this evening, I'll relive Feb 8 1985 and watch Opening Night at the Boar's Nest. I doubt I saw it that day. I wasn't into DOH as much as a kid. I watched it every now and then. I think I watched more reruns after '85 then I did when it originally aired. I was very young during those days-6 years old when it started and 12 at the end. At that age, I didn't take any TV show seriously-just whatever I felt like watching.

I'm back on the first season and the first episode is " One Armed Bandits" and it turns out that Luke loaned his car to Cooter and he never gets it back! OK..... 1. What kind of car was it? 2. Why did Cooter need it? 3. Why didn't Luke ever get it back? Nobody seems to have thought about this!

I dunno if y'all saw but I did a little thing about the Demise of Daisy's RoadRunner and the phantom head that pops up in the back of the car before it goes off the cliff. A sharp eyed Duke fan pointed that out to us awhile back. (Those of ya that didn't see it, there's a link on the front page of HNet) Now I'm wonderin'....anybody ever seen any other odd or strange things in episodes of the Dukes?

On High Octane, I see a Ford flareside-don't know what year. In some episodes I saw a 1/2 ton, then a few minutes later a 3/4 ton. In most episodes he has a 73-75 Ford, but in Trouble at Cooter's he had a 76-77 for a couple of scenes. Why was this done? Is it because they thought no one would notice? Or was it done to make the show goofier, therefore adding to the comedy? Another example of this is in High Octane the lady revenue agent has a Ford Granada with round headlights. Next scene she's driving a newer Granada with sqaure headlights.
