Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Over the years i have found many rare pictures of the dukes of Hazzard on the internet and saved them on my local hard drive. Because i couldn't find a thread generally about these i thought i'd start my own. Unfortunately for many of these pictures I can't find the source of so some might be from this Forum. If some were from this forum i am sorry for re-posting them. If i can find the source of a picture I post I'll post the link to the source. Whilst working on my recent Fan Art project, Buildings of Hazzard, I realised how many changes take place to the stores and other buildings around Hazzard Square. I thought we could have some fun recording the changes. Most of us know that after the Georgia episodes Hazzard Square relocated to the back lot at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank. Below are 2 different views of the square as it is now. I have numbered the buildings for reference purposes. As you can see, the square hasn't changed that much, notable exceptions are: building 10 has been re-clad; buildings 16, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are totally different and have been rebuilt since Dukes. Hey y'all! A while back on the Hazzard Square thread I suggested that someone make a thread on the ranches used in Dukes. So I took it upon myself to try and unravel the mystery that is Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch. Ok im going to start this game. I will list 10 characters from the show and the number 10 beside them.What you do is name two characters that are in the list one that you want to give a point to and one that you want to take a point away from( example plus 1 bo duke, minus 1 rosco). Congratulations to Uncle Jesse for winning the Dukes game after an 8 month battle. waiki has suggested starting another one and I second the motion. If one other person wants to play I think we should go for it. Instead of starting out 10 characters with 10 points each, what do you folks think of starting out with 10 characters but only giving them 5 points to start the game? Or we could stick with 10....

Well, it's racing time here in Hazzard, but of course it's ALWAYS racing time in Hazzard Co. The Moonshine Mauler is the favored winner this year, because of it's super charged engine and Hobie is the driver! There ARE some other racers though, who plan to give Hartkins a run for his money!

Hi, I've been a Dukes fan since about age 8, and built a General Lee in 05 but sold it in 07 to start my next project. I'm going to be going to LA soon and want to do some Dukes investigating. I've been looking at filming locations and read the awesome 22 page thread by Hoss for some of the locations. I've always been interested in pocket knives and that includes Bo and Luke's. I was wondering if there is any story behind them? Does anyone have any pix of them? Or know of a episode that one or the others knife was shown really good so I can do a screencap.

Has anyone every figured this out? Been watching some eps on CMT and trying to nail down the interior layout. Of course I've noticed the way they changed things around occasionally. From what I've observed so far, it looks like at some point they completely swapped the two sides of the room relative to the front door. These are characters that when they talk or even appear on camera, you just want to b*#! slap them. I would like to be either the 3rd Duke boy cousin or Cooter's employee to help with the cars because he got too busy to handle it himself. Either way, I'd like to ride a super fast motorcycle like a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 or 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 that could out jump the General by a long shot. I'd have the Confederate flag painted on the bike's gas tank. I would have grown up in the big city-Atlanta-and have tattoos, long hair, and listen to rock and roll. THE EXCLUSIVE SET UP: Bo drives. Luke rides shotgun. Seasons 1 &2 THE ROTATION SET UP: Bo and Luke both drive and ride shotgun 50/50 Seasons 3-7 Which way do you prefer?
