DukesFest & Other Events

Tell us about your experience at DukesFest and other fan events! Have you been in years past? Was '05 your first trip? Did you make the "Hazzard Run"? Tell us all about it!

  1. Started by dukefan,

I am a die hard fan of the dukes of hazzard as much as anyone, but I envy the states, because I can never make it that far to go to at least one Duke fest once in my life. I never hear of one in the maritimes , or in Canada for that fact. I would so love if they could have at least one show in New Brunswick you know!!! I would die if I could go to at least one Duke fest, just one, before all the original actors pass on...... There is plenty of places just in Moncton alone, not to mention the old race track in Miramichi New Brunswick, hell if anywheres in New Brunswick would be great!!!! I have a favor to ask anyone who goes to those Duke fest from this site, and that is: …

Competition is one thing that has made this country great. In fact, it makes us all better when we have a little friendly competition in our lives. Some folks take their competition seriousely and some folks just like to compete for fun. There was a Waylon quote on the episode "Mrs. Daisy Hogg" that went like this: "If any of y'all ever drive through Hazzard, well ya might remember that if it's got wheels, folks tend to want to race it." That's Hazzard folks for you...competitive to their core. You don't need any more proof than to just look at how Bo and Luke interacted with each other. I bet that before Luke went in the Marines, little Bo couldn't beat him at anything…

OK so I made it down from NJ to VA with my buddy John, My son Aaron & myself as well as my General Lee!!!!!!!!!!!! Yee-Haw what a blast. Just a few words and AS ALWAYS WITH ME PIX!!! to let you know what fun we had! I gave my buddy John a complete 69 Charger door painted & stickered up as a surprise gift for his helping me with putting my General Lee back together. He brought it to Hazzard Homecoming to get it signed and if you buy/bought the DVD of the event (as we did) you will see it was a great idea to bring the door because.............. He was interviewed and mentions the story about how he got it and also My son & I are shown sitting on the ground behin…

  8. If you don't have tickets to Hazzard Homecoming yet...so what. You can buy them at the event, which is good news for last-minute planning! The event location is slightly different than the original Sperryville location of DukesFest, but not by much. Instead of being on Hwy 211, it's on Route 522. What's that mean locally? Well, if you're on 211, turn into the town of Sperryville itself to get on Route 522, and then keep going a little ways. The closest towns likely to have hotel rooms are Front Royal, Luray, and Culpeper. Luray was pretty much booked up last I checked. Front Royal had places open but they were higher $. Do some google searches and book a room now if y…

  11. Hey everyone! Lawrenceburg, IN is having a Dukes of Hazzard Benefit Event "Dearborn County Turns Hazzard County" in August. It is going to be an exciting day for Dukes' fans. We will be having a Daisy Duke Look-a-Like Contest, a Flash (the dog) Look-a-Like contest, an Uncle Jesse's chili cooking contest, a car show and swap meet (where Sheriff Little, for one, will be driven into the event in his police car) where we will have many Dukes vehicles coming in from owners all over the area. There will be a silent auction, vendors, food and music throughout the day. Come and join us and meet some of your Dukes' favorite stars -- Catherine (Daisy Duke) Bach, Sonny (Enos St…

  12. Started by Garrett Duke,

Well y'all you heard right...Tom Wopat is finally coming to my state and I will finally be able to meet him!!!! After going to a few Dukefests and other smaller Duke related events, he is the one living actor on the show that I have yet to meet or get an autograph (well I don't have Coy's autograph or met him...). And it is even looking like I will be able to go!!! So if anyone is interested, in the area, or what not...Tom Wopat is coming to Monticello, Iowa on February 21 and 22!!!!! I apologize, I do not have the times or exact location with me at the time. He will be at a car show. I thought I would spread the word in case anyone else can make it. I am a bit excited…

  15. I'm wondering if anybody is going? I'm not seeing a whole lotta buzz on their Facebook about it, and our promotional efforts on FB got a limited response. We've mentioned the event in our prior newsletter, and I put it on the home page tonight just as a reminder. The ticket prices are reasonable, so I'm wondering what's holding people back...too far away? Gas prices? Too much like Hazzard Homecoming? Too close to Sperryville? Where the hell is Galax? The only thing that kinda makes me go "hmm", is the fact they're already promoting their own hats and t-shirts for the event. To their credit, they look very professional and well-made. Yet... Is this event just another eff…

As many of ya know, Tom couldn't make the 2007 DukesFest due to touring with the off-broadway musical production of "Chicago." DukesFest carried on, but of course "Luke Duke" was missed. HazzardNet has early, unofficial information that indicates Tom will be at the 2008 DukesFest. You won't find this news on any other Dukes website yet, but the information we obtained is from a viable enough source that we're sticking our necks out and reporting it. Note, Tom usually has an escape clause that lets him bail if a hot Broadway gig comes up, so this is never written in stone. So far, though, it looks good. We also have official information regarding a concert appearanc…

  24. Wow!! I am still high on cloud 9 right now from last night….It was sooooo awesome!! I promise I will try not to ramble and make my story uncomprehendable ( Is that even a word, spell check is telling me no!)….But I wouldn’t count on it…So anyways I reckon I will start from the beginning…. So it was finally Thursday, and I was dead tired…I had been up for a couple days straight making a cookbook for my grandma for our family reunion in about 3 weeks. She needed it done ASAP so copies could be made. So I was slow to start and didn’t make it up to the fair until about 12. I didn’t even get my ‘01’s on my nails yet. I was still waiting for the orange to dr…
