TV

You mean there's other shows besides the Dukes of Hazzard? Well, yeah. Talk about 'em here. But please, no fights over whether Kitt is better than the General Lee or we'll cuff ya n' stuff ya.

  1. Started by Meadowmufn,

Anybody else watch westerns regularly? I grew up watching them with my dad. I've been watching them a lot more frequently lately. Gunsmoke and The Rifleman are my favorites, but I do enjoy "Have Gun--Will Travel", "Wagon Train", Wanted: Dead or Alive", etc. There are a lot of great western streaming channels like INSP and Grit and I've found that Gunsmoke is on somewhere just about 24 hours a day. 😁

  2. Started by Skipper Duke,

Any of y'all heard of and seen this cartoon TV series starring the voice of John Candy? In the series, he runs a summer camp for kids. I watched episodes of this sent to me by a Facebook friend. I enjoyed it.

  3. Started by Skipper Duke,

Mom's a fan of Western series and movies. She watches reruns Gunsmoke, Bonanza etc. I told her "Better enjoy while you can, before political Correctness gets them taken off the air. For some stupid reason, they'll claim for making fun of the Indians or something."

  4. Started by K-Duke15,

So the night before, me and my parents were watching the new Mick and Molly for the week. And wouldn't ya know, there was a reference to Dukes of Hazzard. Now thats not the only thing that I've watched with a Dukes reference. A episode just a month or so ago I think of Raising Hope had a reference. Now I think that the Dukes are starting to be popular again. What do ya think?

  5. Mine is DOH is first and in 2nd is Macgyver. I just like the fact that both the good guys get in to trouble but manage to think their way out. Ex the duke boys drive a fast race car and Macgyver thinks and uses science to catch the bad guys or most of them.

  6. Started by Spike,

If you get the Circle country channel in your area then I can recommend the Dinner Drive with Kyle Petty show. The interviews aren't limited to race car driver's though they make up the majority of the 1st season so far. It airs at 8pm eastern Thursday nights and replays Saturday nights at 8:30pm eastern. You can catch the first episode here https://m.facebook.com/kylepetty45/videos/107011838239506/?_se_imp=0PciTQcTzCkFGArmN

  7. Started by Skipper Duke,

Any of y'all seen this 2011-2017 Kat Dennings & Beth Behrs series?

  8. Started by HossC,

I've just read the sad news that Roger E. Mosley, best known for playing Theodore "T.C." Calvin in 'Magnum P.I.', has died following a car crash in Los Angeles last week. He was 83. T.C. was Thomas Magnum's helicopter flying buddy from their time in Vietnam. From the article I read, Gerald McRaney was previously considered for the part of T.C. He was also once considered for the part of Luke Duke, but his only appearance in Dukes was as a workman in 'Hazzard Connection'. McRaney finally went on to take lead roles in 'Simon & Simon' and 'Major Dad'.

  9. Started by Skipper Duke,

Anyone a fan of this 1 season 15 episodes detective series starring Forrest Tucker as Kong and Larry Storch as Spencer and Bob Burns as Tracey?

  10. Just wanted to see what TV shows ya'll would like to see on DVD. I didn't want to make a poll because there are too many to list... 1. BJ & The Bear 2. Misadventures Of Sheriff Lobo 3 Mama's Family (both the NBC and syndicated) 4. Harper Valley PTA 5. Movin' On ( 70's truckin' show) I am sure I will think of more later...Now let's see what everyone else would like... Darrell

  13. Started by JHDuke,

Hey y'all Here in the UK there is a great sitcom called 'Only Fools and Horses', it ran from 1983 to 1996 and there were sporadic Christmas specials to 2003, this is one of the two shows I've stood by all my life (the second being the Dukes), it never aired in the USA as far as I know, ABC tried a reboot for the US in 2012 but it got canned before production began, anyway I'll give you a basic summary, the show follows the life of market trader Del Boy (Del is slang in Britain for Derek) his younger brother Rodney and their Grandfather (although from Series 3 onwards their Uncle) who live in an apartment in Peckham, South London who often sell: stolen, faulty or just…

  14. Started by HossC,

I've just seen that Jan-Michael Vincent has died at the age of 74. He apparently died nearly a month ago, but the news is only just being released now. I'm sure that fellow '80s TV fans will remember him best as Stringfellow Hawke in 'Airwolf', but I've gone for a picture of him with Burt Reynolds and Jimmie Best from 'Hooper'.

  15. I have the Season Four DVD of China Beach and included is deleted scenes from the first episode of the season "The Big Bang". My favorite deleted scene is the first, called "New Directive". I'll set the scene since I can't download it. Colleen McMurphy was hanging her clothes, with men looking on. Then it's revealed that she is wearing, besides a t-shirt and dog tags, jean shorts, and the men are hooting and hollering. She then went to a building with another nurse, who said that tickets should have been sold and that if she wanted privacy then she should close her eyes. Entered Major Lila Garreau. McMurphy saluted almost immediately, the other nurse took her time …

  17. Yeah... I uh... kinda went there. I ended up somehow, someway in the Supernatural fandom... if anyone is wondering what happened to me over the past few years. Someone donk me on the head. *clears throat* Anyway, if anyone is interested as I have bumped into some old Dukes cronies in the Supernatural Fandom, About a year ago, I wrote a Supernatural Dukes of Hazzard Crossover. It's not one of those new fangled reader insert stories. It's as clean as anything else I've written. It's family oriented. Basically, Sam and Dean Winchester end up in a Modern Hazzard County, probably takes place around 2010. The story is the first part in a Supernatural Se…

  18. Since I quite liked Top Gear US and heard my favorite host started a show of his own I just had to watch. Rutledge Wood, he presents stuff on NASCAR (No I don;t know what he presents there) and is my favorite host on Top Gear US. He started his own show called Lost in Transmission. I'm quite a fan of old American cars and so I thought his show is quite good. You can sort of say it is like Overhaulin' but with Rutledge restoring the cars together with his friend and a Mechanic for a price lower then what you would pay if you would let it do by a shop. Basically for people who or don't have the time and/or resources to do it otherwise. Now today I am watching episode 6 of…

As most of us know, Enos was one of the Dukes' spin-off shows, and I don't have to mention who it was about Although I don't like to download Dukes-related material so I can support our lovely actors and actresses, this series is obviously not available for sale on DVD anywhere on this God-given earth. I really do hope that WB releases it for sale like the are with the Dukes cartoon! Has anyone ever been able to find Enos anywhere on the web available for download??? It's going to have to suffice for now until and if it is released in the future. I've just always wanted to see this show! Although it apparently didn't do well during it's run, I'm sure Dukes fans will sti…

I thought you might want to see what Hazzard Square looked like on "Falcon Crest" where Midwestern Street on the backlot of The Burbank Studios (now Warner Bros. Studios) portrayed Town Square in Tuscany, a fictional town in Northern California. Here are a few screen captures: In late November / early December 1982, Midwestern Street made its début in season 2 of "Falcon Crest" when all the characters wore period dresses to celebrate the Tuscany Valley Founders Day Parade. Town Square in Tuscany was decorated with lots of banners and other stuff, making it easy for the set dressers. They hardly redressed the stores from "Dukes". As you can see, even O'Connors Paint Su…

  23. Started by HossC,

I read this morning that Glen A Larson had passed away on Friday after a battle with cancer. He was 77. If you're a fan of 'The Dukes of Hazzard', you'll probably also be a fan of TV shows that were created/written/produced by Glen A Larson. His first hit series was 'Alias Smith and Jones', before being involved with shows like 'The Six Million Dollar Man', 'Battlestar Galactica', 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century', 'The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries', 'Magnum, P.I.', 'B.J. and the Bear', 'The Fall Guy', 'Knight Rider', 'Automan', 'The Highwayman' and 'Manimal'. A full list of his work can be found on IMDb. Here's a reminder of how Glen A Larson's name appeared…

  24. Who was the preacher in " People's Choice", who was marrying the town Register ( I'm blanking on his name!) to Mabel Wooster? I just saw him playing an old, half crippled/senile, codger, in a Magnum P.I. show!

  25. Started by Julieduke,

One Burning Question here was the show Airwolf cbs answer to Knight Rider or was they both by Universal Studio? Was Airwolf a spin-off of Knight Rider, because they are so similar as one is on the road and one in the air?
