I've just read the sad news that Roger E. Mosley, best known for playing Theodore "T.C." Calvin in 'Magnum P.I.', has died following a car crash in Los Angeles last week. He was 83. T.C. was Thomas Magnum's helicopter flying buddy from their time in Vietnam.

From the article I read, Gerald McRaney was previously considered for the part of T.C. He was also once considered for the part of Luke Duke, but his only appearance in Dukes was as a workman in 'Hazzard Connection'. McRaney finally went on to take lead roles in 'Simon & Simon' and 'Major Dad'.

R. I. P. Prayers for his family and friends in their time of grievance.

RIP. A few years ago the Today show or ET had a reunion of the Magnum PI cast and Roger was still pretty ripped for his age and besides Tom Selleck looked the best. 

Man that sucks! He was great as T.C.!

Never watched the show but I knew who he was. That's sad to hear. My compliments to his parents and the their very talented ability to name their son.

??? You got me on that one cousin! ( name their son? Who else has the name??)  

 

He didn't know how to really fly a helicopter but learned to as the show progressed and got his own.

The only guy in Hazzard who was ever named Roger was Roger Blevins and he turned out to be a bad guy. Still, Roger is a pretty cool name.
