It's about this group of really really super smart guys, two are physics Ph.D's, ones an astronomer and ones a NASA engineer. And they are all so smart their dumb. Like socially dumb. Right now my two favorite commercials are one is for ESPN's NASCAR with Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski's semi truck drivers gassing up their rigs with Jerry Reed's song, "East Down and Bound" song going on in the back ground, has a Smokey and the Bandit sort of theme as well.

The other one is the Pepsi Max commercial where the Pepsi Max semi truck driver goes to a truck stop where a Coke Zero truck driver was sitting there. They comment on the song that was playing...something like "Why can't we be friends?" and the Pepsi Max driver shakes hand with the other driver and sits down next to him while the Coke Zero guy gets a Pepsi Max after Pepsi Max driver comments on how it has zero calories. Then the Pepsi Max guy videos the Coke Zero guy on his phone for Utube. They end up wrestling out through the window. For some reason, I find that commercial funny every time I see it.

This time of the year I don't watch much TV but I've gotten hooked on these rednecks. For those of you who aren't aware, it's the #1 show on American cable television. It's nice to see there's still shows out there with values similar to those on Dukes. This show has no offensive language or sexual situations and is about as PG as you can get. I suppose I shouldn't say none at all....but hardly any. Despite it's (relative) wholesomeness, it's #1. There is hope for this old world.

My favorite character is Phil. That's probably no surprise since he's the most Uncle Jesse-like character. Although I wasn't very happy when he acted like his grandchildren were an inconvenience.

Any other DD fans out there on the HN?

I've been watching them a lot more frequently lately. Gunsmoke and The Rifleman are my favorites, but I do enjoy "Have Gun--Will Travel", "Wagon Train", Wanted: Dead or Alive", etc. There are a lot of great western streaming channels like INSP and Grit and I've found that Gunsmoke is on somewhere just about 24 hours a day. 😁
