While perusin' the interwebs tonight, I came across a song called Rosco P. Coltrane by Carl Wirkkala. I listened to the sample. I haven't been able to find the full song to listen to (for free) anywhere. Looked on YouTube. Anybody else heard this song? He does a pretty amusing Rosco impression. Khee! Hey ya'll! Just curious if anyone is a Billy Joel fan. I am and will always love his music. When I was moving out of my parents house, my dad played over and over "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)! Who have yall seen live? What was your favorite? When I was little I saw Randy Foster, Aaron Tippin, and Reba. This past fall I saw John Anderson, and then this past weekend I saw .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Hank Williams Jr (Rowdy Friends Tour). All three concerts were great. My favorite was the Rowdy Friends Tour.

I think everyone wants to have that infamous instrumental music played on the first 6 episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" that was filmed in Covington, GA before moving to California. Especially the FIRST episode during the chase scenes. Well, still no luck. BUT, I came across a Waylon Jennings tune called - "Big Ball In Cowtown". It's on his 1976 'live' album. This song sounds VERY & EXTREMELY similar to the instrumental music. Once you hear this song, you'll agree. I bet this song was the influence for the instrumental music. -Dar. Well after returning to reality after the holidays...well heard this song on my MP3 player and it made my day a lil better. So I thought I would post it... Love this song and the video...then again I love about every song on the DOH soundtrack. Also heard James Best's "Go Flash Go" as well...makes me smile everytime...puts me in anoth DOH episode. The General Lee, is in my opinion, the best car. Ever. Then again, my opinions are heavily biased since I love everything about The Dukes of Hazzard.

A radio show I listen to has a weekly feature where they put up two versions of a song, the original and a good cover, and debate which is better; sometimes with surprising results. For example, this week's comparison was 'Tracks of my Tears' with versions by Smokey Robinson and Linda Ronstadt. It's the one from a couple of weeks ago that still has me undecided. Charlie Daniels passed away this morning of a stroke. He was often called the hardest working man in the entertainment business. He has been my favorite singer for decades and I will miss him. I had the opportunity to speak to him three times and it was awesome. The first time I got my picture taken with him. The next time I got it autographed. The third time we talked about patriotism. Two of his songs "What this World Needs is a Few More Rednecks" and "Simple Man" are amongst my all-time favorites. Friends the other day I was listening to Waylon's greatest hits and I realized we lost a legend. All of his songs are incredible. They take you through every emotion and back again.
