Dukes of Hazzard Movies

I saw this movie today in the UK and there is no talk of any drugs in this movie. I know 12 seconds got cut from the uk version and I also know that Jay said that when the DVD comes out they will have 1 DVD that is the same as the one you see in the cinema and another one that will be an adult one which will be a bit different to the other one. I am not sure what Ben Jones and any other Dukes fan is moaning about. If I had young kids I would take them to this movie. I see nothing to adult about this movie.

I havent seen the movie yet, but heard a while back about the scene that touches on the Confederate Battle Flag on the General's roof. Could someone please explain this scene to me...what is said and what exactly happens. This scene is one of the reasons I havent seen the movie yet. If it degrades the flag in any way I probably wont go to see it. Thanks.

Alright ya'll, I have been debating on whether or not to say anything at all on this site about the movie. I have been reading and watching patiently with the rest of you to see the new movie, and quite frankly I was disappointed with quite a few Dukes fans...and, I'm sorry to say it, Ben Jones. I read in a review of the movie that it's a movie version of "Farewell, Hazzerd".

I know it may be a stunter, but what's up with that wierd roundish number 0 on one of the pics? The only time I vaguely remember seeing that type of 01 was maybe on General Lee race-car for one of those electiric race tracks I had as a kid, but I can't recall for certain. Only thang I can figure is that the movie is using this type of font for long-distance shots of the General, and maybe this 01 somehow looks improved or something. Any comments?

Something I noticed in the new movie reminded me of something that I've heard Dukes creator Gy Waldron mention in an interview before. I have heard Waldron state that had the series continued past '85, there was a possibilty that they were going to have the Dukes talk to the General Lee and possibly have someone do a voice-over for the General Lee. Not only would fans just be able to see this car that in many ways was as much of a cast member as any of the actors, but they would be able to hear the car's perspective. I was an extra during the filming out at the raceway in Erwinville for the beginning and finish of the rally race. I had a great time during the filming and even more so when I saw myself in the movie on the big screen. I want to thank the casting and production people on behalf of all the extras from here in Louisiana for the opportunity to participate in such a fun movie.

EDIT: which out of all of the jumps was the best? as in height, speed, distance, etc. And Why? reply, let me know. I was watchin tv the other nite and I saw Leno kinda knocking the dukes I was kinda surprised to see him of all people knock this movie. He himself claims to be a big car guy so I kinda figured and car person would love the movie. thats just my opion seeing as tho this is the best car movie since smokey and the bandit....at least imo....seeing as tho all the new movies use all the CGI crap.

I just found on (VZW Tones) get it now stuff for ringtones, they have where you can download the sgae 9 version of the dukes of hazzard theme as your ringtone. I just downloaded it and it sounds great!!! just figured i would let yall know.

How many of you belive Ben Jones saw the movie? Considering schnieder approved( mabe he told him about it) and the feed back from fans was good I think he should give it a chance. Besides I havent heard ONE person post somthing along the lines of " gee since Ben Jones says the movie is bad im not going to see it" not one. What did you think of the new movie?

I just have to say I thought the movie was great! I saw the first showing in my town on Friday, and I really had a blast. The theater was half full, which I thought was awesome for being so early in the afternoon. I separated the movie from the series going into it, which is probably one of the reasons I was able to enjoy it. I accepted it on its own merits, because you can't really compare it to the show, although there are certainly elements throughout the film that capture the spirit of the show.
