What was the reason given for Bo and Lukes return and Vance and Coys leaving?

I want to start a thread on things done or said in the show that didn't make any sense ( I think I may have touched on this before, but it would still make a nice thread, with different people thinking of things others missed!). I've always liked the episodes with Boss's maybe-even-crookeder nephew Hughie Hogg. He was always an enjoyable character, and was good to have a younger character of Bo / Luke / Daisy's own sort of age, but with Boss's cunning, for them to tackle once in a while. What is everyone's favourite (and least favourite) Hughie episodes? The episodes he appeared in are: * "Uncle Boss" (produced early in season two, but postponed until season three) introducing the character * "Arrest Jesse Duke" (s2) - an odd Hughie appearance in that Jeff Altman was brought in last minute to fill for Rosco when James Best boycotted the show, and as such mostly just reads Rosco's lines instead …

Dukes of Hazzard Fun Fact: Did y'all know the General Lee's confederate flag was originally planned for the hood, but WB decided when they saw the design on paper that it looked stupid that way, so they moved it to the roof? And originally, the car was to be called Traveller #99 and be primer gray.

I've noticed strange reflections on some scenes, the ending has a few of them i believe , it's like the cameras were filming behind a lens or something what was that? have you noticed that ? Mostly on chases and car scenes

I'm working on a story and I was wondering if anyone remembers the road that the Dukes took to get to the coffin works? I remember that it was kind of out in the boonies and that's what I really need for my story to work. I won't go into too much detail so I don't spoil my current story for those that are following it (but willing to share through messages if anyone is curious) but needless to say I plan a bit of drama in the coming chapters that will include a stop off at the coffin works. If anyone happens to know the answer let me know. I'm at work and writing so I don't have my DVD's handy. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I started season 5 not too long ago and I've noticed that Cooter is missing from several episodes in the early middle of the season. He is explained to be on vacation but why was Ben Jones not present for filming?

Howdy, I was wunderin iffin you all knew whichin shows that gal Daisy shows up in. I knowed she ah in right many of'em so whats I was really wunderin whichin shows she is the star. I'm much appricated.

And that's Mr. Johnny Cash. I never looked up if he was in any as I didn't want to spoil myself, but it was disappointing that I had reached the end [of the series] and he never showed up. But hey, he made a song about the General Lee. It sure feels like we were cheated out.
