Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Hi, everyone. It's approximately 1:33 am and I'm practically at my wit's end. I have been searching cyberspace far and wide for a Dukes of Hazzard TV show screen saver for my trusty, deserving, reliable Mac OS X , and all I find are horrible pictures of Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson. Does anyone know where a new girl in Hazzardnet.com can find a decent screensaver of the TV show for her Mac?

Hello everyone. Long time fan of the show, first time poster. Ive read thru a lot of the previous posts and done a lot of searching on my own but I have to admit when I'm licked and need him from some experts on this. Ive been searching for a sound clip of Rosco's police siren. Sure there are lots of police sirens online but finding one that sounds like Rosco's (and defintely not that wailing moan of Cletus' patrol car had) seems like it doesn't exist. Can anyone help me with this? Why haven't they released it on DVD? I know there's not as big of a demand for it as other older cartoons like the Smurf's but still?

I would like to recreate the intro/theme song for the Dukes of Hazzard. Does anyone know where those clips come from? I know that the long jump at the start comes from Season 2 Episode 7 at 33:35 Other than that I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We all remember from the first Dukes reunion movie Rosco became Boss, Would anyone out there like to see Hughie as Boss ? If They make another reunion movie, I would even though I'd love to pound the hay out of him for what he did to the Duke's in the past it seems fit the Hughie should become Hazzard's new Boss. What are y'alls thoughts about this ?

Did I miss something here? An alien? Must've lost interest the Dukes back then. I looked on wikipedia and was wondering if these different story plots are the reason why the show came to an end. Discuss anything in the final season here.

It was 10 years ago today when the Dukes began reairing again on TNN (The Nashville Network), I kept the exact day it was & it was so exciting!

I sometimes drive an ATV, up at a cabin by country roads. I was wondering how I can drive like the Dukes and do jumps with the ATV like the Dukes. I'm planning on practicing.

I don't know if this has been brought up before but I think I have the reason as to why the Dukes were pulled from television. With the change of all digital TV coming on FEB 09 ,Blue-ray and HD dvd players along with plasma or lcd High def tv's ....the Dukes look "dirty" on Tv. If you take a look at tv land and shows like I love Lucy and M*a*s*h* along with movies on TCM or AMC have all been cleaned up and digitaly remasterd in high def....somthing DOH lacks Even the 70+ year old Three Stooges Movies are getting put out on dvd in high-def now. I think if the Dukes want to make it back on the tube then WB is gonna have to step up and get to work on a restoration project f…

Didn't those two old timers have a history of going a long way back of knowing each other? All's I remember that Jesse somehow got even with the Boss when Hogg was about to win money over a race or something and Jesse just announced on the loud speaker that Boss was going to donate the money to charity or something. To protect his good name, Boss reluctantly gave in, but they celebrated with hot dogs and other snacks. Which episode was this?

Despite the absence of John and Tom, I have to say storywise, this was a very good season. Still though, doesn't seem right not seeing Bo and Luke in the General Lee.

I"m trying to find out what episode it was that the green machine sucked Enos' pants, belt, and gun off. I think he had metal in his pockets. Also, what episode was it when Rosco lit Boss Hogg's hat on fire? Thanks for the help...

I have been watching the Dukes of Hazzard all the time for the past week or so. I like a lot of shows and my number 01 favorite show often changes but my number 01 favorite show is the Dukes of Hazzard. I watch at somewhere between 4-9 episodes a day. I've used to watch this about 10 years ago, I had stopped watching it. I forget why, think it was taken off the air or something. about a month or 2 ago, I had stated watching it again. I think it's the best show of the 80's.

Awhile ago, I watched Mars Attacks (1996) and there was a scene about halfway through the movie where the aliens have a TV or something in the spaceship and the flip the channels. One of the things you see is a small part of the intro,the part where it shows the General Leecruising down the road and makes a hard turn to the left. It;s were the title comes up on the screen. I gonna go watch that part agian (in the movie).

Just transferred this song to my computer in ITunes. I even extended it because it was too short. Great song , they sound great together! I thought I would post it and share it with the forum. Anybody typed in 'Dukes of Hazzard Bloopers' on YouTube? very interesting bloopers on there from the show..... I would post the link, however, I recall posting links without permission is not allowed. Quite interesting and colorful language on some of those 'bloopers'. I was hoping more of this stuff would surface with the years.... as well as a bunch of other un-edited footage of jumps, showing the General Lee jumps/landings in full.

I would like to be either the 3rd Duke boy cousin or Cooter's employee to help with the cars because he got too busy to handle it himself. Either way, I'd like to ride a super fast motorcycle like a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 or 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 that could out jump the General by a long shot. I'd have the Confederate flag painted on the bike's gas tank. I would have grown up in the big city-Atlanta-and have tattoos, long hair, and listen to rock and roll. And if I was Cooter's employee, I'd like to become Daisy's husband!!!

What was the 'method' used to blow-out/shoot-out a tire on the Dukes of Hazzard? they did it many times.... I figure some type of exploding device, but, wondered if anyone had some more 'specific' details/info?

What are ya'lls favorite special features on the DOH DVDs..... i loved the BBQ and the Good Ol' Friends ones, but then again I loved all the special features....lol!!
