If you have a garbage disposal do yourself a favor and put an old pan or dish under it just in case it ever springs a leak like the one in our apartment did yesterday. Another tip use some scrap vinyl flooring to cover the area beneath the kitchen sink in case a leak does happen it won't ruin your cabinet. God I sure could use a drama free day or two of fishing.

Here's the Nascar schedule for August. https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/07/08/nascar-schedule-daytona-watkins-glen-international/. Will be interesting to see them race the Daytona road course instead of Watkins Glen.

Might have to retract that statement, Pin the Tail on the Dukes is pretty darn funny too . Hector about stole all the Dukes vehicles lol.

I think that's the best episode of season 4, definitely the funniest. Whoever casted the extras for this show made the right decision with Bob Hastings as the conman Quack doctor.

That many tire failures was more than just a fluke. Maybe a bad batch of tires or some teams cranking the camber and toe way past what Goodyear's recommended limit was. Denny's right front tire only had iirc 26 laps on it. The banking at Indy is only 9 degrees and that's only in the turns, so banking can't be an issue like it is at other tracks. I watched a stream before from a European streamer because the race was on FS1 so I had to find an online stream. It was very interesting to not hear the American commentators. I'm not sure who was doing the commentary but they at least were very knowledgeable about nascar.

John Schneider's, Tom Wopat's and creator Guy Waldron's response https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/news/dukes-hazzard-stars-john-schneider-tom-wopat-respond-controversy-cars-confederate-flag-1302105

Wow Yahoo has two story's about this on their main page https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/the-dukes-of-hazard-car-confederate-flag-remain-display-illinois-auto-museum-174630054.html Why do I get the feeling Volo is now going to be either protested or vandalized.

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/dukes-hazzard-car-confederate-flag-224221889.html Good for them for not caving into the "cancel culture".

The commentary from John and Tom is interesting to listen to on that episode. I thought this episode was really cheesy with the whole mask thing. They could have went to a store and bought Bo and Luke Halloween masks and have Turk and Moody wear them instead of having Tom and John act like the bad guys. It's episodes like this you can really tell who had more acting experience at the time.

Stewart Haas racing swept the Brickyard Nascar races this past weekend with Chase Briscoe winning Saturday's inaugural Xfinity road course race and Kevin Harvick winning the 400 Sunday. The other SHR cars finished 3rd Aric Almirola, 5th Cole Custer and 16th Clint Bowyer. This was the 4th time Matt Kenseth finished 2nd at the Brickyard 400. Brad Keselowski finished 4th. There was a pileup on pitroad during the first round of pitstops that took out a number of cars including Martin Tried jr, Corey Lajoie, Justin Allgaier who was subbing in the #48 for Jimmie Johnson, Brennan Poole, Ryan Preece and Ricky Stenhouse jr. Ryan Blaney's tire changer was injured when he was struck by Brennan Poole but was able to pull himself to safety and was released from the hospital overnight. Right side tire issues took out a lot of competitors during the brickyard 400 including Denny Hamlin who was leading and likely to win. Hopefully Goodyear can figure out what the issue was as those were some violent looking wrecks. On a side note I don't know about you guys but I'm getting kind of sick of hearing the Fox and NBC guys bringing up the race and blm thing every chance they can during cautions and red flags, pre race and post race shows. To me it kind of makes it seem like Nascar and it's fans were stuck in the dark ages until now which is a load of BS.

I just finished disc 5 the other day. Look forward to reading your thoughts on this season's episodes.

I've noticed that here as well a lot more lately. Yesterday when we were heading to the in laws for a cookout I noticed quite a few people had party's and very few people wearing masks and definitely no social distancing, especially in the swimming pools I could see from the road when we went by. In one of the state addresses this past week the governor said if the infection spike keeps trending upwards he will close businesses again.

Yeah I'll be shocked if they don't cancel MLB and NFL seasons this year. My wife's cousin caught it, he's been in bed the better part if the week. His fever finally broke yesterday. He's a strong healthy guy in his mid 40's and he says it's like the worst cold/flu he's ever had. A couple of days he only got out of bed just to go to the bathroom. It's definitely not a virus to take lightly.

I'd say to any fans... watch the races this weekend as they might be the last for a few weeks. I would not be surprised if Nascar does another postponement of the season.

Lousy end to a lousy week. Had to put down our oldest cat today, just one month shy of 19 years old. He lost control of his faculties overnight. Even while drinking water he'd just start peeing uncontrollably.

To me season 3 will always be the best season of the series run even though Sonny Shroyer was only in one episode. So many really funny episodes and a few good emotional ones. I only wish they would have done a Thanksgiving episode to complete the trifecta of holiday episodes since season 3 had a Halloween one with the Hazzardville Horror and the Christmas episode The Great Santa Claus Chase.

He originally was supposed to end up at Hendrick Motorsports but at the time, 2010, they didn't have an open seat due to Mark Martin signing a contract extension thru 2011 and not enough sponsorship to run the 25 for a full time season so Penske made him an offer and he took it. Kurt Busch will make his 700th career Cup start this Sunday at Indianapolis https://www.jayski.com/2020/07/01/kurt-busch-to-make-700th-career-nascar-cup-start-at-indianapolis/ he will become the 16th driver to have 700 or more starts. Most of the trees in the neighborhood are maples or various species of pine trees. Thing I can't figure out is the maple in my dad's front yard which has one of its main branches completely dead didn't drop anything during the storm. Yet a few houses down the tree in that front yard lost a big limb which blocked part of the road for the night. Just one of those freak storms I guess. Get out and enjoy the water before next week's heat wave Roger.
-
Might know why the limb fell on my car. Neighbor helped us cut the limb into manageable chunks today. Anyways he was telling us he seen the storm the other night and remarked that he only seen tree limbs move like that in a tornado. That might explain why only certain trees in the neighborhood got damaged while others didn't even lose a branch and why the limb landed on my car instead of the power lines that were directly below it.

The whole dang world has gone crazy Roger. Even cartoons are offensive if the non white characters aren't voiced by people of color. Common sense has been basically thrown out the window. No surprise covid 19 is spiking again now and some states are going back into lockdown.

Interesting...https://www.jayski.com/2020/06/29/penske-has-yet-to-offer-brad-keselowski-a-contract-for-2021/ Could that mean Brad Keselowski would finally drive for Hendrick Motorsports like originally planned, taking over the #48 next season. Roger probably wants to pay him less $$$, sure is interesting that they haven't even thrown an offer at him yet though since he already won 2 races this season. Root. I love drinking craft or old fashioned root beers. Stewart's, Blue Sky and Jones are my top 3 at the moment.

Just when I thought I seen or heard it all... I read that some streaming services have removed an ""offensive"" Golden Girls episode , that had Blanche and Rose in beauty masks, because it resembled black face. What's really hilarious is the episode is conveying interracial marriage and bringing families from two different backgrounds together. This 'cancel culture' is kind of shooting itself in the foot when they get shows and movies taken off the air that actually push the message of equality.
