  1. Yes that is James, probably one of his old head shots that actors have done to send out for roles.
  2. My wife said something similar too when I told her about it when I got home Sunday. My wife also said I was way too nice about it. But with this coronavirus thing going on I'll take what I can get $$$.
  3. I seen a shirt at Walmart that morning that said something like "I used to be a people person till I met you" or something like that . I thought about going back to Walmart and buying that shirt and wearing it when I mow her lawn next time hahaha. Apparently she felt guilty as she called yesterday and apologized.
  4. I never had a cell phone till I was forced to get one for this one delivery job I had 20 years ago. They come in handy in an emergency though whether it be a vehicle accident or break down. If anything get one of those cheap prepaid plan flip phone ones. My dad has one of those with TracFone and has a year's worth of minutes or whatever.
  5. Some people can never be pleased. Since we got a few inches of snow Friday and it didn't all melt off till Saturday I didn't get to mowing till yesterday. One dang client has been hounding me for the past week even though I repeatedly told her I'd get to it this past weekend. Should've just mowed her dang lawn last weekend and let the 4 days of frost we had last week do a number on her lawn. The rest of my clients were more than happy to wait. Then when I got done with her lawn yesterday she comes tearing out her door saying I didn't even mow it. I guess I was just getting an hour's worth of exercise in then . Explained to her that the dandelions she seen where the ones that haven't grown as tall as the grass yet. Though I felt like telling her good luck finding someone else to mow her lawn and trim her hedges for $20. Yesterday morning I stopped at the local Walmart and witnessed an argument between a guy and an employee. Apparently the guy didn't want to follow the rules and tried going in the out door instead of waiting in line. So that arguing went on I'm assuming for 5+ minutes as he was still arguing when I already got in the store and he was there before I got in line , if he would have just got in line like everyone else he would've been shopping already instead of still arguing lol. I assume they told him to leave since his pickup wasn't parked in the fire lane still when I left.
  6. I'd say stay off Facebook at least for now. You either get people that think it's a hoax, people that are taking it way too serious and chastising anybody that's not taking it as serious as them or people trying to make everybody laugh a little to brighten spirits .
  7. Ohio is mostly farmland country, there's only about 6 major metropolitan areas, maybe 7. Though before the coronavirus developers around here were buying up farmland like there was no tomorrow to build ugly drab "luxury" apartments, condo townhomes, single family home subdivisions. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't paint them all the same boring depressing gray color.
  8. Any of you notice that since the stay at home orders that it's harder to have a discussion without it going into the crapper either on forum boards or Facebook. I regularly check out about half a dozen forums and all but this one and car forum have become basically I'm right you're wrong you're a bleep childish fights lol. I feel for the moderators of those sites.
  9. For about 30 seconds yesterday evening it looked like a snow globe outside, the biggest fattest flakes fell from the sky and the sun was out behind the clouds so it really made it look pretty for that really short time. However tomorrow the forecast calls for up to 3 inches of snow, hope the meteorologists are wrong about that. Have lawns to mow Saturday and I'd rather not have to Jerry rig a snow shovel on the front of the mower .

Interesting... https://sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/ron-desantis-florida-gov-nascar-races-coronavirus-pandemic-235333044.html With Nascar tracks laying off and furloughing employees yesterday I wonder how feasible it would be for Nascar to at least get the Homestead race in. Since Virginia will be on lockdown till June 10th they could use Martinsville's date.

    Happy Easter

You're not missing much. Since it got bought by another company in 2017 the quality and quantity of the food and service have gone in the crapper. We used to go once every weekend for breakfast before the new company took over, after that happened we noticed the food wasn't as good as it used to be and we'd only stop there every once and a while if we got sent a really good coupon in the mail. This was the last straw for us though, not going back there ever again. Bob Evans must be spinning in his grave at what has become of his restaurants. Monday morning I went shopping for a small ham, struck out at Krogers but Meijer finally got a full shipment in and I bought one and made a proper easter dinner Monday night .
  12. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet, Ohio's governor might not let any group functions happen this year.

Kyle Larson got fired for the N word during a mic check for an Iracing race https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/04/14/kyle-larson-fired-chip-ganassi-racing/ Seriously. I think this was blown way out of proportion especially considering probably 90% of the rap songs have that word in them. Of course he shouldn't have said it in the first place but to basically lose everything because of it is utter nonsense but then again this is the P.C. era where everything is offensive.

    Happy Easter

Well I'll never order from Bob Evans again for a holiday meal, think I'm done eating anything from their restaurants. Finally got the meal 3 hours after it was supposed to be ready. To top it off only got half the meal so I ate Arby's instead and let my dad and wife eat the Bob Evans meal. Bob Evans Facebook and Twitter are still getting blown up right now . I went back first thing this morning and got the rest of the meal since they didn't even bother calling me last night and still hadn't refunded the full price to my account. The manager today said she's got a lot of apologies to call in for the screw ups the crew made yesterday.
  15. Every state that borders Ohio has price gouging laws as do most states in the US. Gas was $1.05/gal here a few weeks ago but now has crept back up to the $1.20's. it was hard to believe it only cost $7 to fill the tank in my car and $12 to fill the wife's a few weeks ago. I know it will be cheap for only a short time but it's nice not blowing $50 to fill both tanks.

    Happy Easter

Happy Easter y'all. Was supposed to be eating Easter dinner now but thanks to the panic buyers local stores were sold out of all the hams except the $30+ ones for the past few weeks. The local Bob Evans was supposed to have our order ready at 2 but they're apparently 2-3 hrs behind today. Been snacking on ritz's instead lol.
  17. If your state has laws against price gouging thank your lawmakers. Ohio doesn't and stores are taking advantage of it. $13 for a 6 roll paper towel pack is nuts. Last month before all the panic buying that same pack of paper towels was $6.99. Loaf of wonder bread went up a dollar. Packs of water have gone up so much that we bought a faucet water filter. And toilet paper well let's just say I'm glad we bought a big pack in February. I really feel for the seniors on a fixed income because they'll barely afford to buy enough food for a week with what used to buy them a months worth in January or February.
  18. Never say never. I never thought we would have snow in June but about 5 or 6 years ago it did.
  19. Weather took a swing back to winter and looks like it will be this way till next weekend. Unfortunately there's some good chances for frost next week and yesterday I cleaned up the patio and got the leaves out of the pots so now I got to figure out a way to cover the plants that have come up already overnight next week. Finished my seed starting yesterday as well. Gonna try corn again, have a bunch of tomato's and a couple of cucumbers. Just got to figure out where I'm gonna plant them at my dad's garden.

I've never heard of the term before this past Sunday, must be some new term the techie kids came up with . It's been a few years since I got mad enough to quit a game. Roger if you like simpler games I recommend any of the Lego ones, especially the ones based in movie franchises like Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park, they are fun to play and replay and the cutscenes are hilarious.

Well Bubba Wallace learned an expensive lesson...https://sports.yahoo.com/bubba-wallace-loses-real-sponsor-154630588.html . I "rage quit" a few times when racing online and I'll say that ended up hurting my season standings more than just finishing the races even if I would have finished in last place. I remember one race where I got wrecked on the 1st lap and went a lap down while getting repaired in the pits but I decided to help my teammate win the race and in doing so I ended up getting back on the lead lap and finished 3rd. We were great drafting partners and stuck to each other like glue which the other racers didn't do.
  22. That's a funny episode though. I finished binge watching the first season last week. Well i knew it was going to happen and it finally did yesterday , access to one of the local rivers was closed due to too many fisherman too close to each other due to the walleye run. The city didn't come out and say you couldn't fish there but they banned all parking and the park in town closed all parking along the river. Won't be too long before the rest of the access points and parks down river will be closed too since the fisherman will just move to the next access point. I hope the restrictions lift after the walleye run is over.
