Been a busy week in Nascar so let's start with Sunday's race... Brad Keselowski won for the 3rd time this season at New Hampshire. Denny Hamlin finished 2nd, Martin Truex jr finished third, Joey Logano finished 4th and Kevin Harvick 5th. Matt Dibenedetto scored his 5th top ten this season by finishing 6th, SHR teammates Aric Almirola and Cole Custer finished 7th & 8th, Chase Elliot 9th and Tyler Reddick 10th. Brad Keselowski and Penske agree on Contract extension https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/03/team-penske-extends-contract-with-brad-keselowski/ Leaving Family Racing has been sold https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/04/leavine-family-racing-announces-it-has-been-sold/ https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/04/snowball-effect-led-bob-leavine-to-sell-nascar-cup-team/ Team will finish the rest of the season under new ownership. Bubba Wallace has been offered a stake in Richard Petty Motorsports if he signs new contract https://www.jayski.com/2020/08/03/bubba-wallace-to-chip-ganassi-racing/ it's also rumored that Chip Ganassi Racing is interested in having him drive the #42 next season. The cup series will be having a doubleheader this weekend at Michigan both races will be on NBCSN as well as the Xfinity Road America race Saturday at noon. I'll have to keep an eye on the expressway up the road as some of the haulers come and go that way to avoid I-75 traffic. I remember a few years ago when I was out for a bike ride I stopped at the top of the overpass for a drink and seen a convoy of the Cup haulers.

We checked out a couple of houses. One isn't on the market yet but seems nice from the outside, the roof looked excellent from the outside. The other one was definitely a handyman's special. Garage needs to be taken back the the studs if not more depending on the bug damage. House was a little better but still needs some work. Front cement porch needs to be jackhammered and redone. Also needs a new electrical panel etc.etc.etc... Went for a walk at the park today and used this new phone app Seek by inaturalist. Identified 3 plants on our walk. The app also can id bugs too if they stand still for you anyways. Also stopped at an estate sale this morning and scored a helluva bargain on some neat things. In the barn/garage was a beer and liquor bottles collection that had to be seen to be believed. They were 3 shelves full, and these shelves were the full length of the garage, and when he ran out of space on the shelves he hung them from the rafters. And here's the kicker, he didn't drink. The family don't know why he collected all these bottles. There were vintage bottles from USA, Mexico, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, aw heck probably all of Europe. We were there over an hour just looking at them.

What really ticks me off is the relatives keep saying "omg you guys got to get out of there" yet when we asked for help we get a no. I think I need to go out into the woods and just break some branches to get rid of the anger that's boiling within me right now.

Boy you got that right Roger. The whole world seems like one big cluster. Looks like we're S.O.L., relatives won't loan us the money for the houses we showed them so it looks like we're stuck here for few months more, that is if the management renews our lease which doesn't look like that's happening either since we haven't gotten our renewal papers yet. One good thing is we're back to work at our part time 2nd job so at least we'll have that extra money to throw into savings.

I know money's tight right now for a lot of people but dang I'm getting tired of looking at houses that need roof repairs lol. One we looked at last night was about the right size for us but then we heard about the leak that's been going on for a while. Sounds like it hasn't taken care of yet from what the renter's at that house said. And since the water runs down behind the wall there's a real good possibility that there is mold. When the realtor mentioned he never seen a corner of the roof done like that before that also raised some concerns. I know we aren't going to find a perfect house with no issues but as long as we can find one with just minor ones we can fix that will pass inspection would be great. My wife is like a charging bull, still determined to find a house and get the heck out of here before our lease is up. Glad she's still got that attitude as my positive energy is just sapped, probably doesn't help that I haven't slept longer than 5 hours in a night in over a month.

James Davison is set to drive the #53 Nascar Cup car this weekend at New Hampshire. Nascar is interested in keeping mid week races on future schedules https://www.jayski.com/2020/07/29/nascar-still-interested-in-mid-week-races/ Kyle Larson interested in Nascar comeback with the right team https://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2020/07/28/kyle-larson-nascar-return-if-opportunity-there-love-shot/

Well I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Turns out the house needs some work. Guessing the owner doesn't have the money to fix stuff as it says in the listing that some of the issues, like the roof, would be fixed upon closing. The lady's that rent the house were there and they told us the roof has had a tarp on it for the past 3 months or so. Kitchen floor also needs to be replaced and a few rooms need repainted etc. Back to the drawing board we go...

Folks in hazzardnet could use some extra good vibes today. A house came back on the market and if things line up we will put an offer in today. We like it from the pics on Zillow and it has a nice size lot and in a quiet safe neighborhood. Man keep telling myself not to get my hopes but dang if they aren't since this one ticks most of the boxes on our list.

That's good to hear. Could've been some bad gas or minor constipation or both combined.

Denny Hamlin won Thursday nights Kansas Nascar cup race, beating Brad Keselowski by about half a second. Martin Truex jr finished 3rd, Kevin Harvick 4th and Eric Jones 5th. Jimmie Johnson had some more bad luck getting caught up in a wreck and finished 32nd and 6 points out of the playoffs. His teammate William Byron finished 10th which moved him up to 14th in points. Maurice Petty passed away July 25th. Along with being one of the best engine builders in Nascar he also raced a little usually with the #41 on the doors. Sorry about not getting this up sooner, have alot of stuff going on right now.

Well as usual it looks like home ownership is not in the cards this year. I knew it last night when we got a call from the relatives and they mentioned about what we thought about moving to the apartment complex next to where we live now. That's why I don't ask anybody for anything! Don't know why they even told us to find a house we like within a few thousand $$$ of our price range. Hate to say it but that's why I always say never get your hopes up. And people wonder why I've been a pessimist most of my life. This year has been nothing but a cluster since March
-
Sorry to hear that Roger. Hope it's nothing to serious.

God no. We're sick of living here. Plus I want a place to build a nice vegetable and flower gardens.

Was an interesting day. While eating breakfast I heard a bunch of yelling so I checked the ring doorbell and seen the troublemaker chased the guy he had an argument with yesterday to their vehicle. Later in the day I contacted the manager of the neighboring complex where that guy lives to let them know about the video. Shared the video as well as a few others with the manager and since the troublemaker is causing problems on their property they are going to see what they can legally do to get rid of the troublemaker here.

That's good. Hopefully you'll feel better in a few days.

Yeah we're looking forward too it. There's this one house we found that has everything we're looking for except it's not out in the country, but it's just out of our price range. Has a big bedroom and living room and full basement and 2 car garage. For the first time in our lives we asked relatives for some $$$ help with a down payment so we can afford it. We hated to ask for help because we've always done things on our own but desperate situation... If they don't help us we'll just settle for this other house that has the smaller rooms that I mentioned in a previous post.
