We actually have a Frost advisory tonight for outlying areas brrrr. Was hoping we would have gotten rain early yesterday morning that was forecasted but nothing reached the ground.

Got the majority of the painting done. Will have to wait till it warms up again next week to finish painting the cement block foundation.

Check out our local PBS listings Roger, every now and then they run a repeat of tours of British royalty castles/palaces on their 'Secrets Of' series. The episode which shows the one that Princess Diana's family owned was quite interesting.

Brad Keselowski dominated Richmond last night, leading the most laps, winning stage 2 and the race. Austin Dillon also had a good night leading the most laps in a single race in his Cup career and finishing 2nd in stage 1 & 2. The top 10: Brad Keselowski 1st, Martin Truex jr 2nd, Joey Logano 3rd, Austin Dillon 4th, Chase Elliot 5th, Kyle Busch 6th, Kevin Harvick 7th, Aric Almirola 8th, Alex Bowman 9th and Clint Bowyer finished 10th.

Probably wait till October. Usually wild animals move on if their food source is gone. So yesterday I almost hit two squirrels chasing each other in the parking lot so I honked the horn and scared the bejesus out if both of them . Apparently one of them has a good memory of it, I stopped to check the mailbox today and this squirrel in a tree was giving me the business. I imagine he or she was cussing me out in squirrel language .

You might want to take down the feeders for a while, once a bear finds a food source they will keep coming back to it especially this time of year when they're trying to put on as much weight as they can before hibernating. And be sure to lock the car doors and house doors as well.

He's healthy enough, just lazy. Thing is my dad and uncles were sort of brought up to 'do for their parents even if they can do it themselves'. Which definitely isn't a bad thing but my dad tries to take advantage of it as much as possible. He either whines till you do it or he plays stupid till you have to fix his 'mistake'. I'm just to the point where it's just quicker to do it myself instead of wasting my time listening to his whining or trying to fix the crap he "screws up". Take his bathroom for example he kept doing little bandaid fixes instead of fixing the broken pipe, he whined to my one uncle till he came over and replaced the pipe and the bandaid fixes.

Darrell Bubba Wallace is not returning to Richard Petty Motorsports for 2021 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/09/10/bubba-wallace-not-returning-to-rpm-after-this-season/ Bet he will be announced as the driver for the #42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevy in the coming days.

Looks like Jimmie Johnson will be racing for Chip Ganassi Racing next season in the Indycar series https://www.jayski.com/2020/09/09/jimmie-johnson-partnering-with-chip-ganassi-for-indycar-deal/. Wonder if Ganassi will be switching to Chevrolet engines next season as Jimmie has said he'd like to keep his partnership with Chevy.

My uncle already knows we work 2 jobs. My dad is all for it, if he doesn't have to lift a finger to do anything he won't. Funny thing is he's been retired since June so he's had plenty of time to paint but hasn't. Sad thing is his 80+ year old neighbor does more stuff around his property than my dad does on his property and he's only 66. It just really annoys me that he does this helpless and stupid act so everyone will do the stuff he could do on his own.

I just love when relatives volunteer me for stuff without even asking if I'm busy. I'm working 2 jobs as it is and on my day off I try to catch up on some sleep and get a few things done here at home. Now I've been volunteered by one of my uncle's to paint my dad's house. Guess I won't be helping one of my paying clients redesign her flower bed since I won't have the time to do the work now .

California's Auto Club Speedway to be reconfigured into a 1/2 mile short track https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/09/08/nascar-seeks-to-reshape-auto-club-speedway-into-a-short-track/ https://www.jayski.com/2020/09/08/auto-club-speedway-to-be-reconfigured-to-half-mile-short-track/ From the plans it looks like they will keep a portion front D straight and that's it. Looks like the current back straight will become a new parking lot.

Visiting relatives out of town didn't go as I'd hoped. Even though it didn't rain at all here it drizzled out there most if the afternoon so we were all stuck inside. Although my mother in law can swear like a sailor nobody else better dare too or else. What set her off this time is when I said 'dang' . Sometimes I loathe visiting her as sometimes we have to walk on eggshells around her if her meds are out of balance that day, and apparently it was one of those days. So yeah it was a fun labor day weekend. Last week I was trimming some hedges that was hiding poison ivy so my left arm has a nice itchy rash. I will say I'm not having any issues with people not social distancing around me haha .

Kevin Harvick won the first race of the playoffs or chase for the championship, whatever you want to call it, which is his 8th win if the season, a career best for Harvick. He also tied Dale Earnhardt Sr in crown jewel race wins with 8. Early on it looked like it was going to be a Joe Gibbs racing domination, at one point all 4 cars were in the top 10 with three of them 1,2,3. Pit issues took Denny out of contention, Kyle's car was not a top 5 contender most of the night, ended up finishing 7th. Martin Truex jr had the strongest car from jgr's stable but after contact with Chase Elliot and the wall while battling for the lead forced him to pit with a flat tire, he ended up finishing 22nd a lap down. Erik Jones gave jgr it's highest finish of the night 4th. The top 5: Kevin Harvick 1st, Austin Dillon 2nd, Joey Logano 3rd, Erik Jones 4th, William Byron 5th. 3 crew chiefs have been suspended for next week's race. Kyle Busch's and Clint Bowyer's for unsecured lugnuts and Ryan Blaney's for unapproved ballast. Richmond will be on NBCSN Saturday night at 7:30pm eastern.

The episode's editor and series producers most likely had more to do with that than Sorrell Booke. Since he was also a main character in the series he probably was not in the editing room as much as a non-actor director.

Local PBS station airs a bunch of British comedy's and drama's on weekend nights. Wife and I enjoy the Great British Baking show and Beecham house and I used to watch Vicar of Dibley when I'd get a bit of insomnia.

I wonder too lmao.

The first 5 seasons are great, sixth season not so much. Interesting tidbit about the actor they got to replace Larry Wilcox, Eric Estrada didn't like him apparently because he didn't take the show seriously and supposedly did drugs. That's why he's missing from the final few episodes of season 6. Here in the USA you can find reruns of Chips on the Charge channel.

William Byron signed a 2 year contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/09/01/william-byron-signs-contract-extension-with-hendrick-motorsports/ I bet the win at Daytona helped William get a better deal. Aric Almirola signed a 1 year contract extension with Stewart Haas Motorsports https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/09/01/aric-almirola-sponsor-returning-to-shr-for-2021-season/ Germain Racing is mulling a possible sale due to having no sponsorship for 2021 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/09/01/germain-racing-pondes-2021-plans-including-potential-sale/ Germain Racing made their debut with Max Papis in 2009. The Coke Zero 400 set the field for the playoffs. While Jimmie Johnson was making moves like an Earnhardt and looked like he might make it into the playoffs in his final season if not for a crash caused by Tyler Reddick blocking. Jimmie Johnson did what he needed to do finishing stage 1 & 2 ahead of his playoff spot competition and gaining much needed points but in the end it wasn't meant to be. Matt Dibenedetto clinched the final playoff spot finishing the race in 12th. William Byron clinched a spot in the playoffs by winning the race which quickly turned into a demolition derby in the final laps especially the final lap with only about half the field able to cross the finish line. Chase Elliot finished 2nd, Denny Hamlin 3rd, Martin Truex jr 4th and Bubba Wallace 5th. Brendan Gaughan in what might be his final Daytona race finished 8th even though he was involved in one of the late race wrecks but his car wasn't damaged as much as others. First race of the playoffs will be the Darlington Southern 500 which will be on NBCSN this Sunday at 6pm eastern.
