    Duck Dynasty

There are a lot of things on the history channel now that I'm not sure counts as history. LOL.
  2. My webhost informs me that HazzardNet is being migrated to a brand spankin' new server. (I hope that means faster performance and less issues!) Sometime in the next 48 hours, there might be slight downtime as they transition over.
  3. For battling malware, I would recommend MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware. The last time I checked, they had free versions. They've gotten me out of plenty of jams when I was using Windows (which I don't anymore). I haven't had a virus or malware since I switched to a Mac (knock wood!!!).
  4. Thirty million dollars? For that kind of money, I just might sell HazzardNet to you.
  5. If I won, my life wouldn't change much. I'd just travel more. Most of it, I'd probably give away to charitable causes or set up my own charitable organization. That's just way more money than I could ever spend. Looks like both rolled over. Powerball is over half a BILLION dollars. Holy moly. I'd be happy with 1/1000th of that.
  6. Well, I didn't hit the $190 million Mega Millions tonight, but I have tickets for the $360 million Powerball tomorrow night. If I win, party at my place.
  7. That looks like it might be Bob Aaron. He stood in for Denver sometimes and played bit parts throughout the series. Great guy. He took me under his wing while I was on the reunion set and showed me around. Got to see him again some years later at the first Dukesfest. Some day I'll have to post the autographed photo he gave me. The message he wrote is hilarious.
  8. Same thing happened to my brother, Hoss. It was cheaper for him to get a whole new laptop than to replace the GPU.
  9. Welcome, Roth. Glad to have you here and I hope you enjoy yourself in our little community.
  10. Sounds like you're having as much fun as I've had with the HazzardNet server the past week, Rog. I think I FINALLY have all the problems ironed out (she said hopefully). At the very least, I've stopped getting emails every few hours saying that the server's down, up, down, up, down.... (Fingers crossed.) It took me forever to figure out what was going on because there were multiple problems, including a site of my sister's that had been hacked and used to send spam. Ugh. I spent a LOT of time deleting spam and bounced emails.... on the order of 100,000 of them. I have upgraded, updated, hardened, secured, and done everything else you can think of to the server this week. Hopefully, it'll be stable for a while. Computers... you can't live with them, you can't toss them out the window because eventually you'll need them again for something and they're too expensive to replace too often.
  11. Ok, I'm going to stray from the shoes theme and use the "of" in that last title. A Room of Our Own - Billy Joel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVJDFpOGsVM
  12. Nylon Curtain actually has a few one word songs: Allentown Pressure Surprises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WsdGXcxWyw
  13. Laura - Billy Joel I love this song. In fact, I love the whole Nylon Curtain album, but this song especially. Edit: Hoss reminded me this song does drop an f-bomb, so... you've been warned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqCav-cvuz0
  14. It's just another reminder of how much evil there is in the world. Honestly, we don't need any more reminders. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
  15. Once you've had a chance to look around the new forums, please leave feedback here. I've already gotten some feedback and am trying some small changes here and there as well as finishing up the customization of the theme. Also, if you find any bugs or issues with color (I already know about the white background on quoted text), please post about that here as well.
  16. The forum upgrade is complete. Now, there's just the matter of tweaking the colors a bit more, as some backgrounds are white, making the text unreadable. I will get to that later today. Right now, however, I'm going to bed, as I pulled an all-nighter on this. If you encounter any bugs other than something to do with the colors/layout of the site (i.e. posting, logging in, PMing, etc), please PM or email me.
  17. I just found this online, rather amusing. Captain Grizzy’s 2011 Showboat Parade on Lake Pococtopaug featured a boat that you might recognize! It's the Boar's Nest, complete with a jumping General Lee and a patrol car crashed into the back. You can read more about the parade and see the other interesting boat entries here: http://www.ctcameraeye.com/?p=3841
  18. Ok, forum software upgrade has been purchased. Found a $25 off coupon too. Yay! Still, it was pricey. Fortunately, though, I don't think I'll have to purchase another upgrade for quite some time. Thanks to all who've contributed. I'll put the thank you page up when I do the forum upgrade. Of course, if you haven't already donated and would like to, please feel free. https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/9SHfc With the upgrade will come a change to the look of the forums. I'll try my best to make the changes minimal, but you will definitely see some difference.
  19. I am planning the forum upgrade for this Sunday, April 14th, at midnight Pacific. The site shouldn't be down more than a few hours. I won't be upgrading to the latest version (5), as there are still several issues with it, but I will be upgrading to the most recent version 4. If anyone would still like to contribute to help me pay for the upgrade, you can do so here: https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/9SHfc
  20. Hope you have a wonderful birthday today!
  21. My sincerest condolences, CD. *hugs* You're very fortunate to have had a close relationship with your grandfather and I'm sure you'll cherish the good times you had with him for the rest of your life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
  22. You're in my thoughts and prayers, CD. Don't feel bad about wanting him not to suffer. It's only natural to feel that way about someone you love. My grandmother, unfortunately, had alzheimer's for many years and was in very poor health. At the end, it was almost a relief, really, because it was just so hard for both her and us for her not to remember anyone or anything and to be in poor health for so long. No matter what happens, know that you have people who support you and will be there for you. *hugs*
  23. I'm planning on upgrading the forum in mid-April. I'll post announcements as the time nears and I have a more definite date.
  24. Thanks, guys. Jimmie got the info he needed.
  25. This will probably go a long way towards answering your question: http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/news/20060724/donating-part-of-liver-relatively-safe
