  1. Welcome to HazzardNet! You'll enjoy your stay here.
  2. This is Troy. We adopted him today! He's a yellow lab/basset hound mix, looks like he might have a little beagle thrown in. We call him a labradasset. LOL. He's certainly living up to his basset heritage right now. He's been snoozing most of the day after bringing him home. Probably all that stress of being in a shelter and traveling. He's a very mellow fellow, very cuddly, and so far, very quiet. He's made himself right at home on our old couch and he's welcome to it. (I think he's already figured out he's going to get spoiled.) I think Flash would certainly approve of this little guy.
  3. Cooter's Place recently announced a new event, Dukes of Hazzard Reunion In Georgia, to take place in March. Check out this post for details: http://www.hazzardnet.com/blog/2012/10/15/dukes-of-hazzard-reunion-in-georgia/
  4. Count yourself fortunate, Roger. I grew up in the city, in Southern California. We were lucky if we could count 7 stars on a good night. We had to head up into the hills for good stargazing and to watch the meteor showers. There's still light pollution where I live now, but we can see plenty more stars. I find myself looking to the heavens more often now.
  5. It's been a rough week. We lost our dog Sadie suddenly and unexpectedly this week. She was the light of our life and to say we're devastated is an understatement. As Jimmie told me, there are no words in the English dictionary or anywhere else to describe the pain of losing a dearest pet, and he's right. We're simply lost without her and the house seems so empty. No whining when it's time for dinner, no tail wagging when we get home, no howling at the doorbell when someone's at the door. Rest in peace, baby dog. We miss you so much.
  6. Thanks for sharing, wekke. I remember your website. Feel free to post whatever info and photos you have here. Those types of threads tend to be very popular here. Glad to hear things are going well with you. I was wondering what you were up to when I noticed your site was gone.
  7. Chicago vs. Dallas on Monday night. We still have a bit left on the Applebee's gift card my mom sent us, so we'll probably catch a bit of the game then.
  8. Very fitting, Hoss. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I love Mancini and Andy sang it beautifully. Moon River is one of my favorites. RIP Andy.
  9. Thanks, Rog. That first post was a little premature. Still had some problems, but it looks like I may have fixed things as of yesterday evening. It's been 20 hours since I've seen any symptoms of the issues the site was having. You all probably didn't notice much, but I was seeing the disk space fill up fast on the backend due to these errors. Well, that's a load off my mind... and the server. LOL.
  10. Grumble, grumble. I know you guys haven't seen me around much lately, but I've been here, in the background, putting out fires and restarting the server a bazillion times (it seems). So, if you've smelled any smoke around HazzardNet, that was me! LOL. For quite some time, I've been trying to track down some issues with the new server that have been driving me nuts. If any of you notice any slowness on the site, error messages, etc, please post about them here. If you can PM me and copy/paste any error messages you get, I'd appreciate that, too. I *think* I may have fixed the latest issue that was filling up the hard disk with errors (fingers crossed), but I'm not sure yet. Time to go to bed. I'm on my second overnighter in a row working on this server. On a strange side note, when we first moved HNet to the new server, the chatroom was broken and I never got around to fixing it. It's now miraculously working now. Apparently, HazzardNet is self-healing... except for this one other issue I can't figure out. LOL.
  11. Thanks! Gonna try to get to Applebee's on Monday night and watch the game there while we eat. :)

  12. I'm sorry. One hard and fast rule we have here on HazzardNet, and that all of us mods adhere to strictly, is that you must NEVER go off topic. LOL. Looking forward to what you come up with!
  13. I know. Yay! Unfortunately, the Seahawks games are the only ones we can watch, since we get them over the antenna.

  14. Go Seattle Seahawks! I hope they do as well in the regular season as they did pre-season. Unfortunately, I won't get to watch it since we dropped cable tv last week.
  15. I'm really hoping they're just giving it a rest for now and will re-introduce the show to great fanfare like they've done before.
  16. Congrats and a belated happy birthday!
  17. A little something for the ladies. An 8x10 photo of John Schneider shirtless: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110945899184 Don't worry, fellas. I'll have some Daisy stuff for sale too.
  18. Times are tough. I hate to do it, but I have to part with some of my Dukes of Hazzard collection to pay the bills. I'll be selling these items on ebay and posting the links to the listings here. First up, it's my Dukes of Hazzard board game. The ebay auction listing is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110945820835 If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. Sorry international fans, I'm only shipping to the US.
  19. One time, the maintenance man sandblasted moss and stuff off our back deck at the apartment complex we were living at at the time. The wood was so rotted that he removed more than just moss. First time I walked on the deck after he was done, my leg went straight through. Funny thing, my family was visiting and I was showing them our new place. They weren't impressed with the deck. LOL. Got a nice ugly bruise, but fortunately I wasn't too badly hurt.
  20. Welcome back, BoJames!
  21. FYI, this thread has been cleaned of images from jake01 because he appears to have deleted them from his photobucket account, so they no longer show. His "What If Cars" thread has been deleted for the same reason. Also, he (or someone accessing his account) has left messages saying he has been banned for being a thief. Nobody at HazzardNet has banned him for anything and nobody has accused him of theft. However, if accusations or behavior like that continues, we WILL ban him. Just wanted to set the record straight.
  22. If y'all haven't already figured it out, Hoss is the man.
  23. Congrats, Tim. Well deserved.
