Thanks, Roger. It's hard enough to deal with a bad headache, but to have them every day for a week is incredibly draining. Then, to have other health problems on top of that... I really hope you're right that I'm due for some good luck soon.
-
Sorry I haven't been on. No relief yet. Headaches all week, including today, now with heart problems thrown into the mix and an ER visit earlier this week. I can't get in to see my doctor 'til September, but hopefully she'll have some answers.

The migraine lasted from Friday night until Sunday evening. I wish I could say I was doing great now, but I had an ice pick headache last night and I'm dealing with the aftermath... very fatigued and sore. I'm really, really tired of dealing with headaches. I've had CT scans, sinus endoscopy, tried all sorts of different meds... Ugh. Docs can't seem to find out for certain why I have them.

I think CMT dropping the show has made an impact in interest. Things always pick up when it's on air here in the US. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been meaning to do some updates to the forums and site, but between work and my health, I just haven't been online much in the evenings to work on my sites. I hope to do some of the maintenance I had planned this weekend. I had a migraine last weekend, so that took care of that.

We did have a Facebook Like button for a while. I'll look into adding it back.

You shouldn't worry about it. My maternal grandfather died at 46. Mom's lived longer than her dad so far by several decades. Both my dad's parents died at 69. He's lived longer than them as well. One of my old softball teammates from high school made sports and fitness her career. She was only a few years younger than I and in much, much better physical shape when she died at the age of 31 from an undiagnosed heart problem. She was talking to her family one second and the next, on the floor dead. Very shocking and tragic, but we never know when it will be our time. So, live life as much as you can, appreciate your blessings and loved ones, and don't waste time on the negative and unimportant.

Talk about making me feel old. I'm old enough to be your mother! LOL.

Unfortunately, something's come up and I won't be able to make it at 4pm tonight, so we'll have to reschedule. Anyone that's interested, please PM me what days and times are good for you and I'll try to coordinate something that fits the most schedules.

Sad news… Actor Dennis Burkley has passed away. He played Bubba in episode "Find Loretta Lynn" and Mickey Larsen in "Strange Visitor To Hazzard". He was also seen in several great 70's and 80's shows like Rockford Files, Greatest American Hero, The Fall Guy, and Knight Rider.

Hey folks, I'm testing out an online conferencing site that might allow us to not only have chat, but allow me to stream Dukes episodes for us to watch together online. Would anybody be interested in helping me test it out this Saturday? Say around 4pm PST? PM me if you're interested! I need more than 5 folks. If Saturday doesn't work, but you're interested, let me know what works for you. Buford and I did a test run tonight and he said it was "pretty cool".

I just wanted to chime in here. I'm not gone and I haven't abandoned HNet. I just have very little free time due to my new job. I do have some ideas to revitalize HNet, but unfortunately a number of them rely on version 5 of the forum software which I don't think is quite ready enough yet for our purposes. It will allow me to highlight specific threads on the main forum page and super-customize the site. I think that will help highlight the most interesting content and keep folks interested, perhaps get more folks signing up. Facebook has definitely taken over a bit. I've seen participation on other forums slow because of FB. There is still a place for forums though. FB is good for quick one-off conversations and forums are best for in-depth long term conversations. One thing I want to do when I have time is to get a chat room up and running again. Since the show isn't currently on tv, I would love to have a once a month chat where we all view our dvds at the same time. I know some of you have done that before. I think we could get quite a bit of participation for that, especially if I advertised it to our 12,800+ Facebook fans. I appreciate all of you who have kept things going here in my absence. You all are the heart of HazzardNet.

There are a lot of things on the history channel now that I'm not sure counts as history. LOL.
-
My webhost informs me that HazzardNet is being migrated to a brand spankin' new server. (I hope that means faster performance and less issues!) Sometime in the next 48 hours, there might be slight downtime as they transition over.
-
For battling malware, I would recommend MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware. The last time I checked, they had free versions. They've gotten me out of plenty of jams when I was using Windows (which I don't anymore). I haven't had a virus or malware since I switched to a Mac (knock wood!!!).
-
Thirty million dollars? For that kind of money, I just might sell HazzardNet to you.
-
If I won, my life wouldn't change much. I'd just travel more. Most of it, I'd probably give away to charitable causes or set up my own charitable organization. That's just way more money than I could ever spend. Looks like both rolled over. Powerball is over half a BILLION dollars. Holy moly. I'd be happy with 1/1000th of that.
-
Well, I didn't hit the $190 million Mega Millions tonight, but I have tickets for the $360 million Powerball tomorrow night. If I win, party at my place.

That looks like it might be Bob Aaron. He stood in for Denver sometimes and played bit parts throughout the series. Great guy. He took me under his wing while I was on the reunion set and showed me around. Got to see him again some years later at the first Dukesfest. Some day I'll have to post the autographed photo he gave me. The message he wrote is hilarious.

Same thing happened to my brother, Hoss. It was cheaper for him to get a whole new laptop than to replace the GPU.
-
Welcome, Roth. Glad to have you here and I hope you enjoy yourself in our little community.

Sounds like you're having as much fun as I've had with the HazzardNet server the past week, Rog. I think I FINALLY have all the problems ironed out (she said hopefully). At the very least, I've stopped getting emails every few hours saying that the server's down, up, down, up, down.... (Fingers crossed.) It took me forever to figure out what was going on because there were multiple problems, including a site of my sister's that had been hacked and used to send spam. Ugh. I spent a LOT of time deleting spam and bounced emails.... on the order of 100,000 of them. I have upgraded, updated, hardened, secured, and done everything else you can think of to the server this week. Hopefully, it'll be stable for a while. Computers... you can't live with them, you can't toss them out the window because eventually you'll need them again for something and they're too expensive to replace too often.

Ok, I'm going to stray from the shoes theme and use the "of" in that last title. A Room of Our Own - Billy Joel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVJDFpOGsVM

Nylon Curtain actually has a few one word songs: Allentown Pressure Surprises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WsdGXcxWyw
-
Laura - Billy Joel I love this song. In fact, I love the whole Nylon Curtain album, but this song especially. Edit: Hoss reminded me this song does drop an f-bomb, so... you've been warned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqCav-cvuz0

It's just another reminder of how much evil there is in the world. Honestly, we don't need any more reminders. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
