  1. I saw it again last night. It seems like it's been longer than 7 months since I saw it last but I'm sure the date here is accurate. I just love hearing Hazard Kentucky mentioned. In the part of the movie where it's mentioned, Loretta hadn't become a superstar yet. I bet at that point in her life she never imagined she's someday be the queen of country music appearing on the king of all television shows. Loretta is a living legend and I see she's still touring despite being 78 years old. I have so much respect and admiration for her. She's beautiful in every way. I'm so thankful that my favorite female singer had an entire episode dedicated to her on my favorite show.
  2. Your last message here is over a week old but the cold hasn't let up down there has it? Tonight is the first night up here that we're getting below zero without the wind chill factor. Hopefully it will be the coldest night of the winter. Keep warm buddy.

  3. Okay, post your Super Bowl predictions here. I'll get the football rolling with the first one. Steelers-31 Packers-10 (Since everybody's going to be predicting a close game I thought I'd go out on a limb)
  4. Well then it must be the ornery feller who was running the hot engine smuggling ring over there at the old stone quarry in Stillson Canyon. I don't know his real or ficticious name but he would make a better leader of a biker gang than Mel Tillis. I haven't seen "Every Which Way but Loose" since it was out in theaters.....don't laugh, I'm serious.

  8. Well I'm guessing this isn't right but I'll answer anyways just to get things rolling again. Mel Tillis.

  13. That's a good point waikiki. Coy and Vance don't get as much as respect as they deserve. Byron and Christopher's acting abilities weren't as good as John and Tom's but that wasn't the real problem. The real problem was that people loved Bo and Luke so much they weren't going to be happy with any replacement no matter who it was. I always try to live the Dukes fantasy as much as I can so here's how I feel. Coy and Vance are heroes because they stepped in to help Jesse and Daisy on the farm when they were needed. After Bo and Luke came back they moved on to help Aunt Bessie and Uncle Elbert. What a couple of great guys, making all those sacrifices for family. Not only that, but they're heroes because (back to reality now) if they didn't step in during season 5 the series might have ended and we would only have 4 seasons of the greatest television show in history.
  14. Great job Hoss! You always impress me with your techno skills and knowledge of the show.

  17. I kinda felt like Cooter hotwiring Limo I. I knew it wasn't the right thing to do but in a brief second of living in a fantasy world I thought maybe nobody'd notice. Since they did, I suppose there's nothing left to do except this.... CONGRATULATIONS SHERIFF ROSCO P. COLTRANE!!!

  20. I suppose I should research the NASCAR personalities and then pick a favorite. If someone had an orange 01 NASCAR car my choice would be easy but for now I'm making my selection on who has the strongest Dukes ties and so far, Kurt Busch is the best I got. None of them NASCAR fellers are related to Cale are they?
  21. One reason I've struggled to become a serious NASCAR fan is that I just don't know who to root for. With other sports it's easy because you pick teams by which cities you like (well, in most cases....in some cases folks follow certain athletes and make whichever team they currently play for their favorite team). In my case, I like teams from Pittsburgh because I'm from western Pennsylvania. You also pick for other reasons. For example I like Atlanta teams because of the Dukes. But with NASCAR it's so hard to pick a favorite driver. After Garrett told me Kurt Busch was a Dukes fan I've found my favorite. As I said in a previous post, If anybody knows of a driver who's a bigger Dukes fan than Kurt I'll switch my loyalties. Until then GO KB!!! By the way, if Cale Yarborough ever comes out of retirement, I'm dumping KB as my favorite. LOL

  24. I know what you mean. There's just something special about old muscle cars. Not only is the General Lee the most famous muscle car in history, it's the most famous car in history...period.
