Hazzard Swamp

Everyone knows strange things go on in the Hazzard Swamp... Beware on entering this forum. The nuts hang out here. If you're one of the nuts, pay no heed to the previous warning. Don't get too nutty tho' or we'll have to have the men in white coats come pick ya up... *Warning* There may be "adult" humor in here. If you're easily offended or under 18, it is advised not to enter here. Folks, try to keep it as clean as possible.

  1. What if Dukes of Hazzard Fans had there own little Fraternity or Sorority... The name of this group would be Delta Omicron Eta... Those are the Greek letters for DOH. What it would look like is a triangle followed by a capital O then capital H. It's obvious our little Frat or Sorority's color would be orange. Our flag... what else but the rebel flag. Our theme song? 'Just a good ol' boys' by Walyon Jennings. Our motto? (This one we are working on... Any ideas?) Our mascot? The General Lee Sayings for Delta Omicron Eta; 1) Yeeehaawww! 2) Khee! Khee! 3) Oh no it's Rosco! 4) Possumonagumbush! 5) Shoot fire and save a box of matches! (Feel free anyone to add more...) You kn…

  2. John..John..John! I want to meet John! Oh how I wish I could meet John! He's not just my favorite Duke, but my favorite actor and all time favorite celebrity. John..John..John, I want to meet John..I've been to Dukesfest, I got his autograph there, but that is not what I mean. An autograph, when you really think about it, is just a line or two and a name scribled across something. Standing in an autograph line for an hour or two hours or longer, waiting for a few seconds while an autograph is scribled out, then being rushed out the door, that is not actually meeting someone, not to me it isn't...John..John..John..Oh how I long to meet John! I'd like to have an hour with h…

Is anybody up for some non-Dukes trivia?...(even though it's insignificant compared to Dukes). I'll start it out. Who was Presidential candidate Walter Mondale's female Vice-Presidential running mate?

On Saturday March 18, 2006 two things happened to me that was very special to me. 1. Number one I got my picture taken in the General Lee and I learned how to play the dixie horn. And there was a guy at he Cleveland Autorana with a Chevelle souped up and everytime he revved up his the guy that owned the General Lee hit the dixie horn. I had on a dukes t-shirt with 01 on the front of it and a hat it 01 on the front of it. 2. I had finally got me a 2006 Dodge Charger of my own ( a 1/24th or 1/25th scale diecast that is) it's in blue and it cost me 12 dollars.

Today was a good day. My family shows show cattle, breeding stock cattle to be exact. Today was our county fair's beef show and we took Resv. Champion in our breed class. I was showing the winning heifer and she behaved very well in the arena. This was the first time in about two years that I actually touched a cattle halter or a show stick and showed a cow. I have been away at college and work, trying very hard to find my place in the world. When I was with those heifer's working with them getting them ready in the morning for the show, I could feel the experience I've had with cattle all come rushing back to me. It was like ridding a bike; I never forgot how to do it. F…

Kids say the darnedest things! NUDITY I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, "Mom ! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!" OPINIONS On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents." KETCHUP A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. The little …

I just found this online, rather amusing. Captain Grizzy’s 2011 Showboat Parade on Lake Pococtopaug featured a boat that you might recognize! It's the Boar's Nest, complete with a jumping General Lee and a patrol car crashed into the back. You can read more about the parade and see the other interesting boat entries here: http://www.ctcameraeye.com/?p=3841

Folks, I post this here in remembrance of the college students at VA Tech. Being in college myself, (if you haven't figured it out from my little posts in the swamp about getting out of Chemistry class and about DOH frat) it strikes a cord with me. No one expects to go to class then wind up losing a friend or losing their own life because of someone else's recklessness. It also sickens me to know that there are people that distraught with their lives about a 'break up' that they resort to this kind of behavior. It's uncalled for. If you are having problems with your life, talk to a friend, a family member, heck most colleges have counselors on campus to help you deal with…
