  1. Please tell me I didn't lose you . . . again! ;) Hope all is well and that your dad is doing better. Hope you find the job that you will enjoy doing. Hope to hear from you soon!

  2. Surprisingly, online there were people backing Kyle Busch up...including one of the writers on the Yahoo! NASCAR page. To me Kyle admitted he had it coming when he made the statement that he'd have been fine with David paying him back like that if he done it within the first twenty-six races of next year. I'm sorry, whether you are in the chase or not, you need to respect the other drivers. If not, then at least expect some payback for what they did. I think drivers are just fed up with having to put up with people like Kyle running them off the track all the time. Kinda like the whole thing with Brad and Carl. Carl's just done with getting wrecked by Brad. My two cents on the whole thing, would love to get your opinion. ;)

  3. You leave us again? I hope not after just returning...hope all is great with you. Did you watch the race last weekend? Wish Gordon would've won it (are you surprised? ;) ) but am happy for Greg Biffle. I do like him. What you think about the whole Reutimann and Kyle Busch incident? I didn't see both incidents due to being at a Church function and then the later event I was doing laundry, but did see playbacks of it during the race.

  4. Well I just gave my two cents worth on the NASCAR thread of what I thought of Bowyer's punishment, what you think of it? I feel I was pretty harsh about it, especially since I do like Bowyer (why can't it be someone like Kyle Busch? Can never be so lucky. LOL)

  5. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the time off with your family. Good luck with the job hunt and finding classes! I really hope you don't catch the flu! Definately not fun. Something must be going around the day care because there has been a few out here and there this week. I am feeling much better now, other than a cold.

  6. Thanks Roger. It's good to be back. I must admit, it does help through the winter months to have Garrett and everyone else who likes Nascar to talk to. I don't know how I'd make it without ya'll. lol And I promise not to cry on my keyboard, but I make no such promise about crying on the tv remote!
  7. Thanks for the well wishes Garrett. I think my dad will be okay from here on. He still has to wear a heart monitor for a month, but that's a small thing when you think about it. As for the job, I'm still being picky about the type of job I'm applying for. I'm using my unemployment to spend more time with my family, especially my nephew. And I'm loving it! I'm also considering taking some classes. I tried to take a couple this fall, but they didn't pan out. So maybe this winter.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well and didn't get to watch the race. Hopefully you are feeling better now. Some type of viral flu has been going around here. I haven't caught it and hopefully I won't. lol

  8. Yes I know, only nine left, but I'm going to enjoy each and every one of them while I can. lol I know you will too.
  9. No kidding? Jeez, that really sucks for Bowyer and RCR. I'm not sure how Nascar is going to work that, but if Bowyer is still going to be in the Chase it sounds like he is going to be in the negative points. Thanks for posting this Garrett, I hadn't heard.
  10. YAY you're back!!!:D I am so excited to see you are back and to hear back from you!

I am sorry to hear about your dad. Am glad to hear that he is doing good and that they were able to help him before he had an heart attack. Still very scary thing to face. Hopefully he'll continue to do well and to heal. Hopefully you will be able to find a job you will like once he is well and back on his feet.

Sadly I did not see the race yesterday. I was sick and went home. Though did get to listen in on it on the radio (though missed the first 70 laps.) Am way more visual than audio when it comes to sports so I feel like I missed a lot by not seeing it on TV. Was bummed about Johnson, but am excited about Gordon and Jr. I am hoping th at this is a good sign for the both of them for the next nine races.

Welcome back to HNET...hope to see you around more often now. :) You'll have to check out the NASCAR thread now that you are back. :D

  11. I thought it was a pretty interesting race. It wasn't the most exciting, but it had a lot of good stuff. lol Only nine races left in the season.
  12. Hey Garrett! I'm finally back! Things are going good. No job yet, but it turns out to be a blessing at this time. I'm staying home with my dad. He had two stents put into his heart last week. He's doing good too. I'm just glad they caught the blockage in his heart before he had an actual heart attack.

Anyway, did you see the race yesterday? I thought it was a pretty good one. I know your guy JJ didn't have a good day, but I thought Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr both had decent days. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. Hope things are well for you.

  13. Well it h as been over a month since you were last on it says. :( I really hope that you are doing well and that all is well with you. Hope to hear from you soon!

  14. Did you get to watch the All-Star race last night? As I said in my post, the only positive t hing about the race itself was that it wasn't for points. Well Gordon and Edwards finished right besides each other at the end of the race...too bad it was for 20 & 21 spot - dead last. Meaning both our guys didn't finish the dang thing! :( :(:( ERRRr. Not only that, but Johnson had to spin out at the end too. Glad that was only the all star race. Hopefully they will have better luck next Sunday at Charolette. (Figured it'd be a long all star race when Gordon hit the wall on the first lap!)

  15. I really hope you are doing alright...
