Who was the best casting choice for the movie?

Yeah who would have thought but then again they have a blog for everythign these days. Anyway, it seems to be more about Jessica Simpson and her many diets than anything else. Lots of people on this site seem to think that they could do a better job at making the Dukes of Hzzard tv show into a film. The film is not yet out and only a few people have seen a ruf-cut of the film. How can you moan about a film that is not out for a few months yet and you have not seen it. How would you guys have made this film what would you have done. Who would you guys get to star in this film. Who would write this film. Who would direct it where would youy film it? It would be fun to find out.

It is important that th original cast appear to show those who arn't farmiliar with the show who the REAL Dukes are. Some say the new cast is a joke. Jessica Simpson can brag to the magisines all she wants about winning the role of daisy but as far as i am concerned she is just a dumb ditsy blonde who won the part due to her good looks and popularity. When, not if, but when I make MY Dukes film I am going to cast it right. First of all, Willie Nelson would be the Balladeer, not Uncle Jesse. Him and Waylon were buddies, who better for the part. And I would cast Dierks Bently, the musician as Bo Duke. He already has that sort of "Bo" persona. Just listen to his best songs and watch the vids. I know that Willie Nelson is playing Uncle Jesse's role for movie. He is kind of too skinny for this role. I happened watch movie and found a perfect guy for Uncle Jesse's role. His name is Mickey Jones and he fit for this character. He is stocky, with long hair and bear and wear overall. He like to look for revenge with laugh. That's my opinion. By the way, He appeared in Dukes of Hazzard tv show three times. I agree that Danny should play Boss Hogg.

I know it may be a stunter, but what's up with that wierd roundish number 0 on one of the pics? The only time I vaguely remember seeing that type of 01 was maybe on General Lee race-car for one of those electiric race tracks I had as a kid, but I can't recall for certain. Only thang I can figure is that the movie is using this type of font for long-distance shots of the General, and maybe this 01 somehow looks improved or something. Any comments?

1. the cars......all this talk about seeing caprices in the trailer, are BS...all i saw was were mid/late 90's ford interceptors used by the state patrol, current model cars used by hazzard county police and 1 ford LTD intercepter used by roscoe (which from far away does resemble a chevy caprice). 2. the fat guy talking to daisy at the end of the trailer and earlier in the car when luke toses the handcuffs out of the window. that guy is an oficer with the Atlanta PD, freeze frame the trailer and you can see thr APD patch on his left arm.

I was wondering what y'all would want to see in a dukes movie if it featured all the original cast in one last hurrah on the big screen. I would want to see the biggest scam to come through hazzard, one that maybe even concerns residents outside hazzard county, something perhaps on the grandest scale...A Dukes save the world kind of plot I guess. I feel like it would have to be something that would set up everyone leaving afterwards. Daisy falls in love, Cooter starts thinking about politics, Bo and Luke realize their dreams, Rosco saves the day. I just see it making everything come full circle. Your thoughts??

Hey everybody!! I'm new to the forum, but a long time DOH fan. I have relatives that live in Baton Rouge and I had my Uncle go try and get some pics of the Team Toyota lot. I have posted one pic under the "Member Galleries". Once the Admins approve the pic, you will see one General with what looks like a camera mount on the front. Still no clear pic of the Rebel Flag on top. I'll try to post some more pics as they are sent to me.

I'm buying the 1975 movie Moonrunners and I going to watch the new Dukes movie. I've heard that Moonrunners is horrible, but I also know that Moonrunners was the inspiration for the Dukes of Hazzard. With all the hype that is going on with this new movie, I'm starting to feel like this movie will be a real turd. I thought, to make things interesting, I would watch both films and see which one has better characters, better car chases, and, pretty much, which one is the bigger disappointment. If you've seen Moonrunners put in your two cents.

I often think the 2005 movie should have cast her in the Daisy Duke role. What do y'all think?
