Okay, im a fan. we all are, bottom line is that im still quite new to the community here and public events held within. I was wondering if anyone here has been to dukefest? Last Sunday as part of the 2nd Annual Mopar & Vette Car CLub Challenge Benefit for Landon Robert at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA., 15 cars used in the filming of new Dukes of Hazzard movie put on an Exhibition race including the Gen Lee & police car chase... I'm new in town, so I hate to make any complaints, but does any one agree with me when I say that this message board would be a lot better if the Message Boards were consolidated a little? From a few things I found on the net, the Execs at WB werent sure what to do about the Confederate Flag that adorns the General Lee in the upcoming movie. Apparently they decided to leave it on, but the compromise was that there had to be a scene which dipics the Flag as 'unfavorable' to some people. Whata y'all think about this controversy? I think if they left it off, the movie would be a joke.(If it's not going to be anyway).

I guess for every cultural icon, there will always be people who don't think anything should change about it. Hollywood is not just about entertaining the masses, it's about making money. Do any of you really think a new movie with a bunch of aging Dukes would make it to the big screen? Hardly. Seann and Johnny did an outstanding job as Bo and Luke Duke. Okay, I may be new here but Ive always been into the DOH (what child in the eighties wasnt?) and we all also know that the General was (or seemed as) the Real star of the show in many cases.
