Anyone seen this movie? I caught bits of it yesterday on TCM. Along with James Best being in it, it looks like a generally really good movie. From wikipedia (spoilers included) Peter Breck plays journalist Johnny Barrett, who thinks the quickest way to a Pulitzer Prize is to uncover the facts behind a murder at a mental hospital. So, he pretends to go insane and is locked up in the institution. While pursuing his investigation, he is sidetracked by the behavior of his fellow inmates. After a hospital riot, Barrett is straightjacketed and subjected to shock treatment. Barrett begins imagining that his exotic-dancer girlfriend (Constance Towers) is his sister, and experien…

This video is great, I dunno how many times i've watched it and not get a chuckle. Jimmie and Boss was great in it. and for the puppy love... Dog made me jump when it barked. Not to self don't watch so closely and turn the sound off next time. And for some "Awww's..." The Scooter.. and boy can she go!

Hi all! I wanted to share that I received an email from our very own beloved Rosco P. Coltrane. I sent him an email a few days ago, which 'm gonna share what it said, and then I'm gonna share what James said. Well, I'm not going into big depth and detail, but I basically said I was a huge fan of his, and I think he and Sorrell Booke were the REAL dynamic duo. Sure, Tom and JOhn saved the day, but without Boss and Rosco, there was no day that had to be saved, and I dont think many people appriciate that. Then I told him that I have a Dukes reuniuon script that everyone who reads it tells me to get published and get everyone to do it, and what its about, and is there a way…

Does anyone know how to mimic or act like Rosco? Thought it'll be cool.

One of Rosco's famous lines is, "Shame, shame, everyone knows your name." Does he say this line in either of the first two seasons? I don't recall hearing it when I watched the DVD.

she was in the ep THE RETURN OF HUGHIE HOGG and her name was Hortense Up until that ep the only sister he talked about was Lulu

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMIE!!!!! Hope you have a great day today and a very happy birthday!!! May all your wishes and dreams come true!!!

Tomorrow Mr. Best will be 79 years old.

Can't wait for it. Heard it was a really good western!

I figured this would be the place to gush about James's other works. Has anyone seen The Andy Griffith Show? He was in two of those episodes and I watch them repeatedly. I don't know how to explain it. The man just gets to me. In a good way. Hooper, of course, as Cully. God, I can watch that movie and watch his scenes repeatedly and not get tired of him.

Today is James Best's b-day! Happy Birthday Jimmie!

OK, heres a place to give it up for Rosco. Anything that you thought was good of him or that he did well..... For me, I'd like to say Way to go Rosco for: Never giving up being smart enough to make all those contraptions and inventions to get the boys, They were awsome and smart, but never worked. (thats ok) these things don't need to have worked, just something you think Rosco should get props for.... since he never got it from Boss, or anyone else for that matter.

So i hear he is supposed to be there but wanted to see if anyone has any "official" word on it?

I don't know how to post facebook videos so I just post the link. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203745494071578

ya'll have to go and check it out. this is prolly the best i've ever seen it. i love it i love it!

James Best and Sonny Shroyer will be at a car show in Gray, GA on March 03, 2012! There will also be a Daisy Duke contest and these guys get to pick the winner. This is one line of duty that ol' Rosco is really gonna enjoy! Gray, GA is a little hamlet out in the middle of nowhere, southeast of Atlanta. But you got plenty of time to plan a trip. By clicking on the links below, you can get the details that are public at this time: Jones County News article Jones County Cruisers website & contact info

Ok I was just wondering what that ment... I think I have the idea but I am only 50% sure on it. (Im having a Rosco moment)

Has anyone else here ordered this? and is within the untied states. Since I do not live overseas the time on shipping would not help many any for people that are oversea's since it takes longer. LOL. But anyhow... How long did any of you have to wait to get yours? I ordered mine on the 17th of March and then paid on March 19th. It said it may take up to two weeks due to high on demand but you never know when anything will arrive. I hope I don't have a issue here. LOL.

I just watched "Last of the Bad Men", it was a pretty good movie for bein' so old. Jimmie was in it alot too, that's why I even watched it in the first place, He was the young kid that had never killed anyone, and he was always nervouse. But in one part of the movie he sang and played his guitar, he's a real good singer. But the worst part was when he finally got the courage to leave the outfit of outlaws and when he went to the Marshall, who was in on everything the outlaws were doin' , and the Marshall shot him. It sucked...plain and simple. Almost every other movie Ihave seen him in he gets kille, ex: Shenandoa when he plays Carter the confederate solider and he is figh…

Just today I found this small interview/documentary from a Dutch TV show from 2002/2003 where they visit James Best. This was during the time the TV channel Veronica started re-airing the show which seemed to be quite a big deal. Thought it would be interesting to share. There's some parts which are in Dutch but most is English with some dutch subtitles or interesting video.
