I remember it like it was yesterday...hmm...maybe it was yesterday... nevermind...just kidding. I am now living in Hawaii, but I was a resident of Chuluota, Florida for about 6 months. During that time, I met a lot of wonderful people. One day my Landlady dragged me to the Taste of Oviedo fair. Not having much money, I was kinda reluctant to go, but she told me it would be fun. I agreed and accompanied her up past the food booths and back down. I had $15.00 in my wallet, but told her I only had $5. So we separated and agreed to meet in half an hour near the entrance. OK, heres a place to give it up for Rosco. Anything that you thought was good of him or that he did well..... For me, I'd like to say Way to go Rosco for: Never giving up being smart enough to make all those contraptions and inventions to get the boys, They were awsome and smart, but never worked. (thats ok) these things don't need to have worked, just something you think Rosco should get props for.... since he never got it from Boss, or anyone else for that matter.

rosco is funny to me because he is rosco!!!!!!! he is hilarious no matter what he does or says and i luv all of his funny lines such as...... "i luv it, i luv it" "Kew Kew Kew" "jit jit" "hot persuit" "Enos you dipstick" "What a horendous crash" "Freeeeeeeeeeeeze" "Cuff em' and stuff em' " "Shame, Shame everybody knows your name" and many more!!!!!!! why do you think rosco is funny????

I was watching the local news tonight and a guy just opened up a restaurant in Harborcreek (near Erie Pa) called Rosco's. He said it was his nickname in the military. When they were interviewing him, he was standing by a shirt hanging on the wall. It was a shirt to re-elect Rosco as Hazzard Country Sheriff. (Yes, they spelled it "country". ) It didn't have Rosco's picture on it. It was a bulldog. That made me wonder if he was a Marine since they occasionally used a bulldog as a mascot. It was really cool to see a Dukes reference on the local news. I don't think I've seen that since the show was on the air.

Tomorrow Mr. Best will be 79 years old.

Held not in a movie theatre, but in a restaurant/bar that features live music on a regular basis, far as we can tell. The event is $100 a ticket, with proceeds going to charity. While the venue is an unexpected choice, it does claim to have three 16' screens. If you go, you'll be seated at tables and looking at the nearest screen. I'm wondering if the paintings used during the Dukes episode "Dead and Alive" are some of Mr. Best's paintings. I'm guessing they are but I don't know for sure. Does anybody know ?

Has anyone read "Best in Hollywood" yet? I got my copy in the mail last week, and I'll be posting a formal review of it on our homepage in the days ahead. But I'm also curious about what everybody else thinks of it. This book is the life and career of James Best, who in Dukes of Hazzard circles, is "Rosco" forevermore. He's done much more in life than chase the Dukes, though, and this book covers his personal history as told by the man himself. For the past 19 years, I've wished Jimmie a happy birthday. There were some years when I'd send him the latest first person shooter video game and we'd play. Those were good times. It's very strange... it doesn't seem like he's really gone and I guess, in a way, he isn't. He's on my tv nearly every week and I have plenty of great memories. Happy Birthday, Jimmie. We miss you.

I did met James at a car show in Ohio that time I was 20, I was excited to meet him because I've waited for years to meet him from watching him on "Dukes" when I was a kid! Whoo! I did shook hands with him and chatted a little: My dad told James, "My daughter loved watching you on your tv show." then he said, "Oh, really?" then I told him, "Yeah." then he said, "Thank you for watching my show!" then I said, "You're welcome!" then I went to get a photo with him next to Sonny (Enos)!

Jim's performance on the CMT awards tonight was a hoot! You could tell the fans really took to him doing the Rosco character. I laughed my posterior off!!!

This video is great, I dunno how many times i've watched it and not get a chuckle. Jimmie and Boss was great in it. and for the puppy love... Dog made me jump when it barked. Not to self don't watch so closely and turn the sound off next time. And for some "Awww's..." The Scooter.. and boy can she go!

I just watched "Last of the Bad Men", it was a pretty good movie for bein' so old. Jimmie was in it alot too, that's why I even watched it in the first place, He was the young kid that had never killed anyone, and he was always nervouse.But in one part of the movie he sang and played his guitar, he's a real good singer. But the worst part was when he finally got the courage to leave the outfit of outlaws and when he went to the Marshall, who was in on everything the outlaws were doin' , and the Marshall shot him. I figured this would be the place to gush about James's other works. Has anyone seen The Andy Griffith Show? He was in two of those episodes and I watch them repeatedly. I don't know how to explain it. The man just gets to me. In a good way. Hooper, of course, as Cully. God, I can watch that movie and watch his scenes repeatedly and not get tired of him.
