An authentic Cockney song (Dick Van Dyke take note ). Rabbit is Cockney rhyming slang for talk (rabbit and pork = talk). When I worked in London, we used to have students from France, Spain and Germany doing work placements with us while they learned English. Cockney rhyming slang is difficult enough to explain to English speakers, so you can imagine the fun we had teaching non-English speakers . The song Self Preservation Society from the original (and best) Italian Job consists almost exclusively of Cockney rhyming slang.

Probably the closest that England has to 'Good ol' boys', although 'Country yokels' is maybe a better description. They're from Somerset (the county next to where I was born), and many of their songs are about drinking cider (or zider in the local dialect). Sorry I didn't update sooner - y'all can remove your ear plugs now as peace and tranquility return to the Trivia thread. Thanks to Roger and waikiki for guessing, but the answer was 18 foot. The Jethro boys/brothers give the size when they go to the Boars Nest looking for Cale. I noticed a small mistake when I watched the episode the other day. Just before the Jethro boys plant the bugs in the cars, they speak about looking for a supercharger, but throughout the rest of the episode, everyone (including the Jethro boys) refers to a turbocharger, You'd have thought, as racers, that they'd know the difference (Click here if you're unsure ). Q. In 'Days of Shine and Roses', where does Boss tell Rosco he'll be working if he messes up (the same establishment is mentioned in one of the following epsiodes as well, although in 'Days of Shine and Roses' the closed captioning gets it wrong!).

I'd like to thank my two grandfathers who were in WWII. I also have a 2nd cousin who was in the army, and continued to work with them in a civilian role afterwards. With any luck we'll never be called up and have to experience what these people went through. Today is Armistice Day/Remembrance Day, and over here a two minute silence was observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to commemorate the end of the First World War, and to remember those who gave their lives in all wars. I now realise that the reason Skoda are re-showing the commercial above is that they have a new one for the performance model called the Fabia vRS. While the previous commercial was meant to show all the nice things that go into their cars, this commercial, called Mean Green, suggests a few wilder ingredients.

Here's a commercial that premiered in the UK in 2007, but they're showing it again at the moment (which is what reminded me to post it here). It's for a car called the Fabia made by a company called Skoda (pronounced to rhyme with soda), which doesn't appear to be available in the US. Skoda is owned by Volkswagen, and their cars share many parts, especially engine, chassis etc. The 60 second commercial shows a full sized replica of the car being made from cake, accompanied by a Julie Andrews song!
